I recommend stopping here for your printing needs. I brought about 40 envelopes to be printed and had a concept we had found online. Michael was very courteous and worked with me to get our idea down. This was a Saturday and the turn around time would have been Tuesday, but Katie reached out within a few hours to finalize the concept and the envelopes were ready that afternoon. I had been really eager to see this place since I watched it being built. I just love the name...very fresh. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a gentleman who is so friendly and sweet. He chatted me up and asked what he could help me find. When I said I was just looking for the first time he was really excited and said "Well, thanks!". There was a woman in the general vicinity who worked there, too and she didn't say a word. DIdn't even so much as look in my direction. No biggie at that point. I walked around, asking questions about the stationary (its a stationary, invitation and card shop) and the guy was so kind. Very helpful. When I asked if they were just in Houston, he turned to the woman (who still did not say a word) and said, "Katie?". SERIOUSLY?! She's the owner?! She's the owner and she doesn't greet her customers. I thought that might get her talking, but it didn't. She is icy with no real personality to go along with her super sweet shop. I love the color scheme - turquoise and red! And that she used old doors as her displays...very creative! But her personality, will make or break this place. I bought two things: cards (reg. priced) and personalized stationary that was 50% off. They were ready the next day and that is impressive. They look great. The stationary and invites they sell are really unique and I would return for these items, so long as its him that helps me. Even when I went back the next day to pick up my stuff, she still didn't say a word. Maybe she's shy? The store is a bit bare, but I think that's b/c its new. I would love to see her offer an upscale line of candles and something unique like recipe cards or cookbooks. And a change the music. It sounded Christian. And while I am not here to support or denounce Christ, its not what you play in a near downtown and stationary shop. It just isn't. However, she gets points for playing music on an i-pod and using Macs. Hey...I'm biased...what can I say? She could have this market cornered if she juiced things up a bit, as her location rocks. It gets 2 stars today due to her personality, or lack thereof. I would not hesitate to change stars in the future. Houston needs a sweet stationary/invitation store that isn't overloaded with so much stationary its overwhelming, like some others nearby. Take a look at her wedding stationary...its fantastic. I came to this cute little shop a few months back when I was shopping for my wedding invitations because of it's convenient location. Katie was very sweet and helpful explaining the different invitation lines and pulling out the books that matched my style. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the invitations, from style to pricing to ordering. I have to admit, I was really indecisive when it came to my wedding invites (I just loved toooo many!!) and every time Katie and her assistant were both so patient and friendly to me. I ended up ordering my invitation suite from one of the collections at the store. Katie was so helpful with the ordering process because she would help suggest fonts and texts and colors. Katie also coordinated with the invitation company to print a second invitation in Chinese for us. Instead of ordering direction cards from the letterpress company (which would have been soooo expensive), I ordered these in-house. Katie helped to design and format the lettering and it was a very reasonable price. Later on, we realized we did not have enough invitations, and Katie worked with the invite company to get more ordered and printed. They close kinda early on Weekdays which is a little inconvenient (but understandable), but whenever I had questions during the daytime, I would just email or call and she was very quick to email me back. I usually went early Saturday mornings when there wasn't so much of a crowd. Our invitations arrived within a week and came out beautifully. We received so many compliments from our friends and family! They have a pretty large extensive collection of invitation books, from Martha Stewart to Spark Letterpress to Crane & Co.. When I was looking through the books, I kept a mental note that they also offered baby shower invites and personal stationary (which you can customize however you want, loooove!). Letterpress is so luscious, you just have to see it in person. Online sites do not do them justice!! Besides the collections they offer, they have plenty of fun stationary that you can just purchase on the spot. This is a darling little store that will accommodate any and all stationary, business cards, calling cards, invitations, and gift desires you could ever have. I went into the store to do some research for printing some personal business cards and was charmed by the store decor, all of the readily available personalization options, the friendly staff and owner (Katie), and the display of the store's samples. I love Katie & Co. so much that I joined Yelp just to review them. I worked with Katie and Michael on my wedding invitations and they made it a wonderful experience. I love stationary and am very indecisive- a dangerous combination in a store with as many wonderful options as Katie & Co. Over the course of many days and weeks I spent HOURS looking at every single invitation option in the store. Michael and Katie were both always friendly and helpful and never seemed to mind my mother and I practically camping in their shop as we made up our minds. Even after we made our choice they responded quickly to emails requesting changes on the proofs. I could not be more pleased with the final product. The invitations are more beautiful than I could have imagined and the entire experience has been one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. Stopped by to pick up a congratulatory card for a wedding. It's a nice little boutique shop. I think their main business is custom card making with larger orders. They had a small selection of wedding, birthday, anniversary, etc... which were nice quality. Overall if you need a last minute place to pick up a card it's not bad. If you want selection, maybe go to Hallmark or a big name store. read more

Katie & Co did the programs, menus, and namecards for my wedding in October 2014. They were beautifully done, and the cost was reasonable for the high quality product. Katie was pleasant and easy to work with, and she helped me choose all the details to bring to life the vision in my head. Everything was finished on time, and I was very pleased with how everything turned out. We were indecisive on the seating chart, and she was very accommodating about printing extra namecards. I would not recommend this place... I never leave Yelp reviews, but the customer service I've received here has been bad enough to merit this one. I've been communicating with Katie & Co since October 12th regarding very simple wedding invitations. I already had the template from Etsy, put it into a PDF as they requested, and after emailing, calling, and visiting the store in person I still have not received the quote that was promised. After my recent visit to the store over this past weekend, I was told they would get the quote to me by Tuesday. It's now Thursday and I have not heard from anyone. At this point, I'm not willing to go any further down the road with this company. They obviously don't need my business anyway. read more

I called Katie & Co. excited to possibly work with them on my wedding invitations when I was in a bind and looking for a local printer to have them done at. Initially the customer service was great when I spoke to someone on the phone about what was going on and what I needed done. The gentleman was great about reviewing my existing invitation design, had some suggestions, talked about what we could get done, etc. I was told that it would take a few days to get a quote to me, as he had to reach out to someone else to see about custom gold foil printing, and would send me something in a few days. Well that was in September and I still haven't gotten that quote. Luckily I did wait on them and had called a few other places on my list and was able to get my invitations printed in time. Would have loved to work with them, but I can't depend on a company that can't even get a quote to me. read more

I went in to Katie & co. today for help. I was trying to print DIY type invitations and having a hard time making it all work. She printed them for me as well as an insert right while I was waiting. I would have paid anything to get it done but it was so reasonable, I almost felt like I wasn't paying enough. Like the last two reviewers, I usually would not write a Yelp review..... however, Michael at Katie & Co is worth the review. I came into the store on a mission to find the PERFECT wedding invitation, and Michael had no problem introducing me to all the different lines of invites they carry and the pros and cons with some of the different designs/ type styles/ colors etc. He was always more than happy to help me-- even on my third trip into the store! The third time was a charm, and I'm very happy with my selection- I could not have done it without Michael! In addition to invites, they also have all sorts of stationery and some very pretty (and some very funny) everyday cards! Love this store and I'll be back for my wedding programs!
