For all the Picassos in us! This place was so fun and charming. It gave me a nostalgic feel of art class back in middle school. I chose this painting activity as a first date :) They do offer painting parties and whatever occasion you are seeking. Just ask the owner. I didn't get his name, but he's very kind and patient. First you choose the piece, and the price varies depending on the piece. Then the owner gives you a brief explanation of each area; paintbrushes, paint colors, sponges, etc. Next, you'll paint your masterpiece. Once completed, you'll leave your piece to get finished off in the kiln and it'll be ready for pickup in a few days. Parking can be tight, and is specifically marked per retailer since it's in a busy, posh area. This is a relaxing experience. Will definitely come back again when I'm feeling the creative juices flowing!

The man who was running the shop was so sweet and kind. The girls and I had a really good time! A whole bunch of pieces to pick from! Price is basically what you would think it would cost. The picture I added was what my sister did before it was glazed can't wait to pick them up when they are ready! Can't wait to go again.

Had such an amazing time painting at Purple Glaze! Compared to other studios I've been to before, you can really feel the passion the owners have. They were super helpful, and gave great instructions on how to ensure your piece turns out the best it possibly can. Great selection of pieces to choose from, and fair pricing. Turnaround time for my piece was only a few days. Highly recommend swinging by next time you're looking for something new to do with your friends!

We had the BEST experience here! I took 2 of my grand children. Theresa was incredibly helpful, and so nice! We each picked our pieces to paint, Theresa explained the process to us, and we had the best time. They offer summer camps for kids, and sometimes have Parents night out where the kids can come on a Friday night for pizza and painting. Highly recommend!

A great place to paint gifts for loved ones and personalized pieces that you can treasure forever! There is a great selection of pieces and paints to choose from. Also very good for parties, dates, and rainy day activities.

Definitely a place you can swing by when you want to just chill, paint and relieve stress. The owner is very nice and accommodating, they have every piece you can imagine and their prices are reasonable! Need something new to do? Give this a try and you will definitely be back. I enjoyed myself!

Love this place! This is by far my favorite "paint your pottery" store. With lots of variety of pottery and hundreds of paints to choose from, you never get bored. I like how you can choose all the paints you want and bring them to your table unlike other places. Another plus is the lack of clutter. Everything is out in the open and easy to see. The quality is also really nice. They actually have real wood tables and chairs. Not some plastic crappy furnishings. Like I said before, they have hundreds of paint colors and everything you could possibly imagine to make that image in your mind a reality. They have all kinds of stamps, stencils, pencils, and other kind of paraphernalia. The quality of the glaze is also great too. It covers the whole piece and is not drippy. You also get the piece back in a relatively quick amount of time; about 5 days. Just don't forget about it! As you can tell this is place to go if your bored, with friends, on a date, have your baby's hand print painted on a plate, to make a gift, and so much more. Have fun!!

This is the perfect place for having creative fun! I loved getting to peacefully paint a piece and having it as house decor.

Great place for adults and children over age 5. It is too small of space for young children ages 2 to 4 to paint.

I was in the area for my birthday and she gave us suggestions on what else we could get into while we were there. They also had shoes, hello kitty and larger bears to paint. The process is very personal so that took some getting used to but I found that to be the most enjoyable about it. You get one hour to decorate your bear and if you're local you have a few days to pick it up once it dries. Our bears were $85 and shipping was $15. The delivery was smooth and my baby made it to me without any issues. I named her Fern :-). I'd definitely recommend this as a fun activity that's not liquor or food focused. Parking was a bit hectic but we were able to find something right outside. The area itself is walkable with lots of shops and places to eat surrounding it also.

It was hard for a group of Type A's to pour paint everywhere and make a mess, to get to your final piece, but we pushed through (lol) and loved our creations. And the staff was amazing. Even though I was only window shopping, I thoroughly enjoyed meandering down the aisles, taking in all of the new Wizarding World merchandise, some of which I've added to my ever-growing wishlist for my family to purchase at will for birthdays and holidays. It's easy to get lost in the wondrous magic of the store, and for me, it's super nostalgic to revisit the series that sparked my love for reading. The Starbucks cafe is also sizeable with plenty of seating. I was searching for a particular magazine cover during this visit, but they did not have it in stock. What impressed me most was the staff that was so willing to help by calling other nearby B&N locations to check their inventory, saving me time and gas. Their endcaps inventory has some of the better deals, and extremely niche books (i.e. 111 Places in Houston That You Must Not Miss by Dana DuTerroil, Joni Fincham, and Daniel Jackson) that are fun to browse through, especially as a transplant to the city.

Everything was well organized and the turnout was pretty good. There were two groups, one for juniors and one for (young) adults, for fairness. Another thing I liked was that everyone got 3 extra packs instead of awarding it based on wins, given we're playing with pre-con decks + 4 packs that are all random. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, shout-out to Bryan (the general manager?) and the official judge for the event. Plus I had a great conversation with him and Michael(?) about MTG; they're definitely very passionate about board & card games. They have anti-scalping policies in place for Pokemon. As for the space itself, decent amount of parking (more in the back). They're very popular for Warhammer, so there's a ton of product for those who play, and several tables set-up with many people playing all afternoon next to us (the 'playing hall' is pretty large!). They also have an aisle with board games for sale, and a counter with TCG products. Restrooms are spacious and clean. All in all, The Forge is pretty much all you can ask for in a LGS; they're also independently owned! I wish I live closer, but I'll definitely be here again soon!
