Love love love Anvil Cards! This little local Houston shop is a gem in this big city. With super cute and creative cards, some related to Houston (Whataburger, Beyoncé, the skyline) and Texas in general (Blue Bell, the Alamo), you will be able to find a add for pretty much any occasion. They also have shirts, notepads, posters, stickers and, my personal favorite, super duper cool pins (Grimace from McDonald's, LaCroix and flying burgers). It's really refreshing to see these cute creative shops still around town!

Amazing cards, pins and candles!! I got a really cute coffee scented candle that I absolutely love. The worker is so sweet and he answered all of our questions very nicely. It's great for getting souvenirs and other cards to send friends and family. 100% recommend.

This shop is THE best, most Houston, original card & gift shop in town. JC's designs are witty and smack of Houston & Texas.

This is a great local store--the cards, the T-shorts, the posters and jewelry all by local artists/artisans

The Frida collection was extremely popular and that's where most of the museums visitors spent their time. Overall I really enjoyed my experience here and wish I had more time to explore. They do have several dining options at the museum including a Michelin star French restaurant, Le Jardinier. The menu looks great and looks like they had a lunch 2 course option there for $45.

Whether you're into art, history, or just looking for something fun to do, this is definitely a great way to spend a Thursday. Highly recommend checking it out!

Other things you should know about the Space Center: -It's a huge campus, and the museum itself is only a small portion. -My wife went 15 years ago, and it's gotten a LOT better apparently. So if you haven't been in a decade or more, give it another shot. -They don't have much pertaining to the recent Artemis mission.
