It is pretty rare i need to send something UPS. i needed to send back some college books my son rented for the semester through amazon and they have to go back via UPS. Googled UPS store and found this one which was going to be in the neck of the woods i was going to be around that day. The staff was exceptional. Super friendly, helpful, courteous. Was greeted with a very hello upon entering. They answered all my questions that i had and made sure i felt confident in the process. I had a label that was pre-done and to be affixed to the box i purchased from them upon sealing it up. They took care of getting it affixed and surprisingly it was shipping so fast back to amazon! so impressive! If I need UPS services in the future, I would definitely come to this store! read more

UPS was to deliver an Amazon package as a gift for a baby shower. The package was delayed by several days while in the care of UPS. When the package finally arrived, the box was severely damaged and duct taped together. The piece of furniture inside was severely damaged, all the hardware was missing, the instructions and manual also missing. When the box was examined, it turns out that it was the cardboard from a target package that had been turned inside out, wrapped around the damaged pieces of the dresser and duct taped together. Upon hearing of the damage, I requested UPS to return the next day to pick up the item and return it to Amazon for a refund. Even though the item was placed back into the original packaging(the damaged target box) the driver refused to take the package. Since I had elected the pick up service, I was informed in theemail from Amazon that the UPS driver would have a label to return the package. So when my ex-wife tried to return the package to the nearest UPS store(magnolia Street store in Fort Collins Colorado) they refused to take the package because there is no shipping label. They also demanded some kind of code from the email. Despite forwarding copies of the email, screenshots of the shipping label as Amazon had provided to print out, providing them with their own shipping number/tracking code, and providing a barcode that was to be placed inside the box in case the shipping label was lost. Eventually, I had to totally cancel the return and start a new return to get a QR code that they would except. The UPS store, and UPS in general seemed to try their their best to avoid taking any responsibility to the debacle that they created. read more

I have returned many many items to Amazon via various UPS drop off points without any issues - all were not packaged up (but returned with original packaging) but never had to worry about having to package it or placed it in the original shipping box so it "fit" - until now. I brought a projector screen placed in it's original shipping box to return, immediately I was asked by the employee "Does it fit in the box?". I was a little taken back because this is the first time I've ever had someone at UPS taking my Amazon return ask me this - but I thought OKAY I'll try to rearrange the item so the 4" of the projector legs isn't sticking out of one of the sides of the box just to please the guy. Well little did I expect him (and every other employee standing their watching) to just stand there the entire time while I scrambled with this box and projector screen. Unable to get it to "fit" and clearly getting no assistance, I said "Okay, well I guess I will bring it home and make sure it fits for you guys." - and his response was "Yeah, it's policy." I picked up the package and waltzed out the door trying to still process the laziness and lack of competency. After actually processing the situation, I called the store asking to speak to the manager - the girl wrote down my information and said that usually the manager is in in the morning. 10 am comes around this morning and still no call - which frankly either 1. the girl didn't actually write down my information or 2. the manager simply didn't want to call me - I have managed multiple business, if a customer complains or is unhappy, you address the situation right away so I'm not even assuming that she was "busy". So, I call the store again this morning, asked for the manager, and spoke with the ever so lovely, Barb. I then explained the situation to her and, with the most professional and non condescending tone, she proceeded to argue with me about the fact that "ALL Amazon returns have to be packaged" and they don't package them. I'll be honest, I hung up on her. The professionalism and competency was lacking throughout this location. You can't deny facts, so I will attach said facts below. Again, I have returned 100+ Amazon items through UPS drop off all over Colorado, and California, some didn't even have the original packaging - I have never received the service like I did with this store, or even have a manager of any business handle a customer complaint like Barb did. I will make it known to whoever I can to stay away from this location, Amazon return or not. read more

It gets a 2 because it exists. But that's the only good thing. Progressively worse customer service, try hiring people suited for the job. If someone hates people don't hire them. It costs .10 cents to print something. But $3 to print a free shipping label. THREE DOLLARS. The label isn't even sticky. You'll have to buy tape! And if you don't have a free envelope from Amazon, it's $3 for one. You know they have a stash of them in the Bach. So you might as well throw the product in the trash bc returning it is more expensive than buying a new one. This is price gouging. It's absurd. And they're real snotty about people who wonder what the heck they're doing. Random policies. Sometimes they take the Amazon product back without a silly envelope but sometimes they don't. Exactly the same product. They're an Amazon drop location. Supposedly. Makes me HATE going in there. Never mind it gets a 1. read more

I was significantly over charged to ship a package to my son in the Military! He is currently overseas. I gave her the APO address as well. They sent it via usps but if I would have gone to the regular post office it would have been around $40 dollars compared to the $120 they charged me and then sent it via USPS. What a scam! No respect for Military personnel. read more

I had a large box I needed picked up from my home and I called UPS. Two separate customer service reps told me I need to go to the store and pay for the label and schedule the pickup. After two separate drives to the store, they refuse to do any of this. "They don't help with Pick-Ups" The third time I call, the rep tells me to print the labels at a library and schedule online. WHY should I have to go to a library instead of my UPS store??? I asked her why the store can't print the labels, accept the payment and help me schedule the pickup. She said she didn't know and that they should be doing this. The GM Barb at this location was absolutely unhelpful and did not offer ANY solutions other than driving 30 minutes south to a "real UPS store because they're not UPS, they're just a company that uses them for a shipper" Already called FedEx for the package and I will never go to this location again. read more

Where I live it is right on the verge of the city limits of Fort Collins. While there are many houses on my street the postal carrier seems to put my packages in the most interesting places. The packages are subject to getting snowed on and rained on and even run over because they are always in a different spot whenever a package is sent to my home. USUALLY I can find my packages quickly if I know one is coming but since I am right by the road they could be stolen also. One time the postal carrier delivered a Mardi Gras cake that was supposed to go to the neighbors house and our dogs found it before we did and they drug it all over the yard. We were befuddled as to what it was until we got it away from them and it was addressed to someone else. I like sending my packages to the UPS store to avoid all of that and know that my packages will not get weathered on and are secure. Having a box here is great because I can get my mail anytime of the day or night I choose. The staff here is always very friendly and most helpful!The price for having a box monthly is a bit higher(But the prices to have a small box are very reasonable!) than having one at a mailbox at the post office, but the post office does not accept other packages sent through other companies unless it is the post office itself. Here they get signed in for anything you want sent here regardless of carrier. Yay! read more

I'm into second chances. So after this store lost an expensive Christmas present last year, and hassled me about paying the insurance, I thought to myself, "Self? This UPS Store has a convenient location on Mulberry and Lemay, close to where I travel on a consistent basis, perhaps they deserve a second chance." Last week I needed stamps so on my way to school I stopped by to buy a book (because they also have a little postal station ... very convenient). They rang me up and ... well ... low and behold they charged me $2.00 over the cost of a book. So, I asked "why are you charging me more than the cost of a book of stamps?" My agent told me that they charge a "convenience fee" ... "A what?!" I exclaimed after doing the complicated math in my head and figured they were jacking up the price 25%. Well, needless to say I "unbought" the stamps. My guy had to slide my debit card again to create a credit memo. The original charge of $10.+ came out of my account within 24 hours. I have still not seen the credit ... 3 weeks later and 2 phone calls. If I could give a negative star rating, I would! This UPS Store just doesn't get it ... I am never going back (other than to hopefully make enough noise to get my credit for stamps I never bought). read more

UPS Store has started charging for any amount of tape. I brought in a package to return, and they wanted $1 to tape it. Keep in mind that 24 inches of packing tape costs them about 2 cents. So, they aren't just trying to cover their tape costs, they are trying to make money off of customers. I used to use them to send 90% of my packages use them due to the convenience, but they have lost my business from now on. read more

Let me be clear. The girl I dealt with was nice. But I had specifically stated to her that my goal was to get the package back on Saturday/ASAP. There was no confusion and I thought that is what I was paying for. I called in on Saturday and I was told that it was my fault and I should have specified it should have been a Saturday delivery and I would have had to pay more. Which I would have gladly done. But from that conversation and from your response I am shocked that you continue to put the blame on me when I paid you all money for a service that was not executed properly. It really put me in a bind and I was disappointed in that. But now I am more disappointed that instead of asking me if I had asked for that Saturday service that you had tried to make it seem like I was making improper assumptions. The only assumption that I made was I went to a business and paid money for the service I had requested. And I did not get that. So you have earned your one star rating and I hope people read this review and see our conversation. In the future I hope you can admit mistakes and correct them instead of blaming your customers for not knowing how your business works. That is insulting. read more

This was a horrible store to go to. The person that served us was the owner and he was very unfriendly. We had to send a package off and when he asked for the address he just took it out of my husbands hand and wrote it down himself. All in all I just have to say that I was shocked that someone can be so rude to customers and you own the company. read more
