You might have to go to…read moreFort Collins or even Denver for true excellence, and of course you would undoubtedly incur high costs. Officemax is okay. I have to special order a few things, by mail. Officemax offers too few choices for some products - pencils, pens, pencil-sharpeners, staples, paper, etc. But overall, it's okay. I can nearly always get what I need, or a reasonable, if imperfect substitute. My concern is with language. Okay, it's a trivial thing for most people, I know. But my way of thinking is that Officemax employees should treat their customers as if their customers were respected business professionals. To that end, saying "Yupp!" in response to a question grates on my ears. Does the clerk resent my presence? Does she think I've hitched a horse up outside? Is she flirting, letting me know she's a reg'lar gal with no silly pretensions? Or is she just poorly trained? I'll go to Office Depot next time, and conduct an experiment to see whether their clerks say "Yes, sir," or the more cuddly "Yupp!" And now I hear that Office Depot and Office Max are under one roof, as it were. So how does "choice" and "free market" and "monopoly" work into that? Well, I get my larger ink cartridges at Staples. I've gotten paper and small supplies at Office Depot. I will continue shopping at more than one company, and buying more than one brand of products. Because I believe in choice. Months later: It looks like Office Max / Office Depot is on the way to reducing of changing their inventory lines, which creates an unpleasant inconvenience for us. Right now we are in need of an office supply company with stable lines of products.

It lasted a couple of months and I called back again today and on his recommendation I got a new printer versus putting money into something that was going to continue to break down. The same day I called, he brought in a new printer and hooked it up. He even put in extra time to fix another printer that was not working. I'm very appreciate of Josh for coming in so quickly. He is friendly and is very service oriented. He's the best. I highly recommend him and BES.

My monitors would turn off randomly. So I brought it in and they diagnosed it, they said I had a faulty RAM stick and that windows was corrupted. They took the RAM stick out and repaired windows after 2 weeks. I brought it home and the problem was worse than when I brought it in after spending $120. I brought it back and they couldn't find anything else wrong with it so they just guessed that windows was still corrupt. They said they could reinstall windows but that I would lose all my apps and data (I did). They tried to charge me an additional $175 even though my initial repair was under warranty. I talked to the owner who agreed to reinstall windows for free which was very kind of him. After they wiped my computer and reinstalled windows they looked over it again and finally found the problem with my computer. One of the wires inside was frayed and broken. So I had to order a 50 dollar part from Amazon and they installed it for me. Overall, their process is sloppy, and they have terrible communication and customer service. If they had done their job correctly the first time I asked them to fix it, the multiple repairs and month and a half of waiting could have been avoided. If you're looking for a place to waste your time, money, and energy, this is the spot for you. I've had better experiences with a guy working out of his garage.

Where there's smoke, there's fire. If their costumer…read morerelations is any indication of their business model than this place is not worth even a look. We called to ask a very simple question, about availability of paper boxes. We were polite and were just inquiring. The rep was rude right from the start after he learned we probably weren't going to buy a copier-at least today. What he doesn't know, or didn't take the time to find out is, we are going to be in the market for a copier, but now at least not at this place. I guess the rep thought it was beneath himself to waste his breath to even respond to us, so he made a huff and then hung up on us. That is not how to treat potential costumers or even the general public. Whatever happened to good will in business, and the "The customer is king"? Where there's smoke, there's fire. If I detect negativity in company rep I take my business elsewhere. It's usually a sign of other underlying problems.
