    visited the UPS store at 3984 Washington Boulevard in Fremont and had a very frustrating experience. I don't have a printer at home, so I asked the staff for help printing a label. The employee just pointed at the computer and told me I had to do it myself. When I asked if she could assist me, she refused. Then, I needed just a simple piece of tape to seal my box, and she said I'd have to pay $6.99 for it, even though a roll of tape costs just a dollar at other stores. I ended up spending half an hour there just to send one package because the service was so unhelpful and unfriendly. I understand that store policies exist, but basic customer service should be a priority. If the owners see this, I hope they realize that a little courtesy goes a long way. I would not recommend this location to anyone who needs even minimal assistance.

    Illegal Package Pickup Fee.

    Came in to pickup a package which had been held here because I missed one delivery. Was charged a $15 package pickup fee when the sender had already paid in full for shipping. Contacted UPS corporate immediately for this illegal and unscrupulous act. They will be hearing from UPS soon. Do not support this place what they do is illegal.

    Great quality service you got to come here if you want your box to be shipped in a timely fashion matter. Raj is so funny and had a great personality.

    This is the guy who makes corny jokes, not funny at all. Can't get a clue that his customer is offended and does not appreciate it! Stop!

    Conveniently located at Washington Blvd. Easy process of shipping items out. However, the male associate (Indian guy) is somewhat disrespectful. Every time I come in and he's there, he makes inappropriate jokes. I've told him to please refrain from saying offensive things to me, but he doesn't seem to understand. Not sure if he has a mental disability, but regardless of that, the manager/owner should rectify this ongoing issue. It's not ok to make inappropriate jokes or comments to customers especially if they have already asked to please stop! He has also made offensive comments to my husband. It makes us uncomfortable that we'd rather drive to the Warm Springs location which is further from where we live. I also overheard him to the same to other customers. The other female associate who's been there for a long time is friendly, helpful, and really nice.

    Beware! This store is not what it seems to be. I went to the store thinking it was a FedEx. My…read moremistake, but a sign on the front window says: "FedEx Authorized Shipping Center." However, I learned that it was a Postal Annex store and did not charge FedEx prices (or even close in my case). I copied my papers and prepared to send them by FedEx. Clerk Caroline correctly put my two mailings in two separate FedEx envelopes (going to the East Coast). She told me that the charges would be $69.44 for each. I told her that I had sent similar mailings by FedEx and been charged $10. She said that she hadn't hear of any $10 FedEx mailing charge and maintained the $69.44 charges must be paid. She offered to return my mailings but I needed to have them sent that day (August 27, 2023), as Caroline knew from our earlier conversation. I paid the total charges ($138.88) and left the store. The next day, I phoned the store in order to dispute the excessive charges with the manager, I called 3X getting no answer each time. I then called Postal Annex customer service in Denver. I was told (by Jeri) that each Postal Annex store is independently operated and has no limit on their charges. Jeri called the Fremont store and told me that no adjustment to my charges would be made. I am informed that FedEx currently charges $10.95 for the mailings such as mine (even shipping to the East Coast, as in my case). I made a letter complaint to Postal Express headquarters but there was no reply. Apparently, it is OK for Postal Express stores to rip off customers.

I dropped off my UPS package and the employee just scanned it and gave me a receipt (super sweet and friendly). The woman working was so welcoming and sweet. They've only been open for 8 months now -- I'm actually surprised it opened in this location because there's a USPS and UPS right across the street, but if it supports them, I'm more than happy to drop off my pre-paid packages here (I'm really hoping they make money off prepaid package drop offs?). They also have notary services and passport photos as other services they provide and their location is in a super convenient plaza.

Packing? Check. Random "oh wow they do that too?" services? Double check. No photos from my visit, I popped in for a quick passport photo and some photocopies. Trust me, no one deserves to be subjected to my passport-photo face. Notary services are available too, in case you need something stamped by someone who won't judge your mugshot

We saw a line so I asked our CEO to wait in line while I asked permission of the people who waited in line before us, for me to ask a quick question. They gave me the okay. I asked the person at the counter whether we need to wait in line if we have an appointment. The staff person was curt and responded, "You need to wait in line!" I walked back and stood next to our CEO. The CEO and I talked to each other and commented that although we made the appointment, we still have to be in line. The staff member overheard us and yelled out, "Just like you go to the doctor's office, you have an appointment but you still have to be in line'!" Hello, 1) UPS is not the doctor's office, 2) the people waited before us did not have an appointment, they came to drop off packages, 3) at the doctor's office, you have seats to wait for your turn! Wrong analogy! My CEO and I continued to talk among ourselves. The staff member yelled out again, "I told you to be in line!" I responded, "We are in line!" I turned and asked my CEO, "C, are you in line?" Our CEO was obviously in line and he said, "Yes, you can see I am in line". The staff knew he was wrong and rude, did not offer an apology but just said, "I did not know you were together". I told him, "If you look at the appointment on your computer, you would have seen I notated the service was for two people!" The staff member was rude and not professional. The man said to "bring it and we'll try" so I brought my package in. They scan the code on my phone and it works, so they accept it. Then, the woman asks if I can give them $1 for the printing of the label. I thought she was joking because they both started laughing and it sounded like a request for a donation, not a fee, so I started laughing with them. But then they kept saying to give them a $1 because it cost them $80 to buy the scanner and also because they're a franchise and the franchise owner told them they have to charge customers to get their money back. Feels SUPER scammy. The scanner is a business expense and the fee wasn't listed anywhere. They kept insisting I pay them $1 saying "it's just $1" and "you can pay that." I don't know if this legal or not, but I felt VERY uncomfortable being coerced to pay for something that I didn't need to. The label was already on the box and $1 isn't much, so I didn't want to fuss about it. I also did not want them to not mail my package, so I did pay the $1 just to be done with it. However, I will NOT be coming back here as it seems they made me pay for something that I wasn't required to. After I walked out the door, I turned around and went back in and took a photo of the package with the label on it because I didn't want to take any chances with them possibly not returning my package and I heard the woman saying under her breath "stupid questions" and I'm pretty sure she was talking about me.     Unbelievably rude and completely lacking basic empathy. I went into this store to print and fax…read moreurgent documents. I am currently dealing with a major digital security compromise and a pending police report, meaning I cannot safely access email on my phone and needed to use their customer computer. The customer computer was down. Instead of offering an alternative workaround to help a customer in a crisis, the employee (male with a dark beard, glasses, face mask, and hat) was incredibly curt, rigid, and dismissive. He flat-out refused to help, stating, "This is a business," and even lied by saying he didn't know the address of a nearby sister store to avoid looking it up. I literally stood in front of him and called the Menlo Park UPS store. They immediately agreed to help me print my documents using alternative methods, despite having the exact same technical outage. When I told this employee that the other store was willing to assist, he just gave a lazy, "Sorry, I can't." Avoid this location. If you expect standard problem-solving or decent human customer service, go to the Menlo Park location instead. They actually care about helping people.
