"this is probably the most efficient business in the state of North Carolina" I said to the staff, as we head out the door. My mother needed to return multiple Amazon packages, and while I admit her knowledge of the process aided to the quickness of the exchange, I was incredibly impressed by the set-up and process of the staff onsite here. There were multiple staff members, and they seemed to have a good assembly line/partner system set-up. While my mother approached the counter a step and a half in front of me, a staff member at a side counter greeted me asking if they could help me with anything before my "I'm with her, thanks" response. One staff member scanned Mom's order barcodes, handing a label to another member who inspected the package before adding the return sticker. Beep, boop, beep, boop. Repeat for four packages. Everyone was courteous and kind; thought quick with their actions, nothing felt rushed. If actions speak louder than words, "we value your time!" was screaming at me here. I sincerely think we were walking back out to the parking lot less than 90 seconds of walking in. read more

On multiple occasions I've witnessed rude and snarky comments by the staff to the customers they're hired to assist. It seems to get worse with every visit. I've experienced it first hand and just yesterday overheard another (somewhat confused and older) customer being spoken down to. 100% uncalled for! I ONLY use this location from time to time if it's the closest to where I am at the moment but it's definitely not my first choice. Lincolnton staff run circles around these pitiful excuses for "customer service" staff members. Kindness is free after all and the owner of this franchise needs to teach their staff to be kind. We were selling an item and took it to a UPS Store for a quote on shipping to pass along to Buyer. The next day I took the package to be shipped at the UPS store in Denver, NC and the price was DOUBLE that of the quote the day before. When I questioned the clerk about whether each UPS store sets their own pricing, she responded "I just tell you what this says" and pointed to her screen. She could not have cared any less. So I took my package and went to the Sherrills Ford UPS store, who again were $20 less as quoted the day before. I guess I assumed the stores had set pricing, but clearly they don't. UPS at Sherrills Ford- EXCELLENT service, friendly and efficient and much lower pricing. Five stars for them. read more

In general they have what you need to ship something but not helpful and in general, a poor attitude. My wife bought a bracelet several months ago and the clasp broke. The vendor emailed a UPS shipping label to her with instructions to drop it off at a UPS drop box of office. She walked in to give them the prepaid envelope with bracelet in it, all properly labeled and the gentleman behind the desk told her she needed to drop it off at the Post Office (USPS). That's several miles further down the road. In the end however, he agreed to take it. In other words, he did not want to ship a UPS item from the UPS Store. Does not make a lot of sense. read more

I have purchased and used their shipping many times. Yesterday I went in for an Amazon return. I guess I didn't follow the Label instructions perfectly and the employee made sure to let me know. It was in the box it came it and I didn't tape it shut. She started reprimanding me and yelling at me about how the store has to absorb that cost! Mind you the store is full of people. Embarrassing me to the point that I will NEVER step foot in that store again. The store was full of people and I was so embarrassed that I cried in my car. I can't believe a small business in our beautiful community can treat their customers so poorly. Over a piece of tape. Looks like this is a consistent problem based on the reviews I'm seeing. If I could leave no stars I would... charges $17.00 for a book of stamps ($12.00 at USPS.com). I understand a "service fee" for not having to go to the post office but $5 extra per book! They didn't even tell me that when buying them! Unknowingly I bought 5 books for Christmas Cards and spent $25 more than I could have. Then when I called and asked if I was charged incorrectly they said I couldn't return them though they weren't used, they did eventual return them but what a joke! Absolutely the best UPS store ever! We were challenged with a major move across the country and I needed a mailing address with a proprietor that I could trust. I honed in on the UPS store in Denver and met up with Henry over the phone. I explain my dilemma, found that I trusted him, explicitly with his advice, opened up the box that we would be using for eight months while our house was built, and have been so happy ever since. They are remarkable, considerate, accurate, and always with great advice, and a warm smile. If you wish to receive subpar customer service at best, this is the place for you. I've never been greeted by a friendly in this place. Brought in a package (already labeled) today to send off. The lady scans the barcode 1 time and said "it can't be read because it's too small. You're going to have to go print it again." I asked her if she could look it up for me using the numbers to avoid driving home and back again to wish she said no. Fast forward... I went to lincolnton and stopped by that UPS store and the gentleman said "oh it didn't scan, I'll look it up for you" and off it went. So We left and she called me back and said oh it's $575 not $85 to ship the office chair ,So unethical ! Ya , $575 to ship an Office Chair ! I said I'm coming back in to get it ,I'm not paying 5x what's you originally quoted me , I could go buy 3 new office chairs for that price . The next day we went to pick our chair up and they tried to charge us $85.00 and wouldn't give us our chair back . My husband said I'm Taking my chair we never told you too Box it. You told us you didn't know how to ring it up so you would call us back to get out credit card info . Then ,try to charge us 5x original price . The lady was so mean and yelling at us and threw a piece of the box at my husband as he took the chair out . I honestly have never in my life had this kind of experience nor my husband . The old guy working at this location is unbelievably rude. We had an Amazon return, yelled at us to come forward and throw the box on the scale. (We had ordered two of the same thing in individual large boxes). I put the first box up and he screamed at my fiancée not to put the second box up. I then showed him the QR code for the return and he said "I NEED TWO CODES FOR TWO SEPARATE BOXES". Okay well...Amazon gave me one... WELL YOU NEED TO CALL AMAZON AND TELL THEM TO GIVE YOU TWO CODES. I said okay and stepped aside to try and figure out how to contact Amazon and he looked over a snidely said "it's not that big of a deal". Well I wasn't the one acting like an a**. While we were standing there he continued to be extremely rude to other customers that walked up to him and barked order at them like they were children. Called Amazon and they said I don't need two codes to do a return but they issued a second code anyways. After what felt like an hour they FINALLY took the returns. Stopped in to buy a shipping box since I was already at Publix. Needed a 24x6x6 and with tax it was $6.58 for cardboard box which I thought was high. The big ding against this store is of course they have signs every where about the mask mandate and that YOU are required to wear one to enter the store, but going in of the 3 employees at the counter, only one was wearing her mask correctly. Of the other two, the one that waited on me had hers below her nose and the other one had hers around her neck. Of all the employees in the back, I did not see a single one one wearing a mask. Why post signs about the mask mandate and require customers to wear one to enter, if the employees are not going to wear one or wear it correctly??? Prices for shipping boxes are high and Covid-19 protocols are non-existent. I will never say never, but this will be my last time in this store, unless they have something I need and I just can't find it any where else. read more

Called this store today to ask if they had a notary available, they said yes. Drove over and approached the counter, greeted promptly. Said I needed a notary. Was asked if I had an appointment, said no, I didn't know I needed one, wasn't told that on the phone. Clerk said "we can't do it without an appointment". Then handed me a card with a qr code on it, and said open your camera on your phone and scan this so you can make an appointment. When I did that, a document appeared for making an appointment. The next line under the title read "we make appointments for your convenience, but they are not required." I showed the clerk my phone and said "can you read that sentence under the title?" He read it and said "are you showing me that because you think I'm wrong? That's not the UPS website!". I said "I know, it's from the site you had me scan with my phone!" At this point, another clerk came up and helped me: she was nice, walked me through making an appointment, I said thanks and left. The original clerk, at that point, at least had the courtesy to tell me to have a nice day, so he was making an effort, but; Yes, I was showing him my phone, because it appeared that it contradicted his insistence that an appt. was necessary was wrong. I found another notary and will be going there , and will have my work done before the appointment that I made! read more
