Staff were incredibly helpful and kind. I simply was passing through the neighborhood and needed to find a UPS store in the area. Excellent location; - Truly a beautiful high end neighorhood. I was really amazed at how positive and upbeat the employees were. They offer a number of services, I was just stopping in to drop off a package. This place makes puts the US PO to shame. As soon as I walked in s gentlemen poped out of the back, grabbed my package and checked it thru in less than 3 min. Compared to the US PO where the first thing a clem does is run to hide in the back when you enter. read more

I went to drop off an Amazon return, the staff was very helpful and friendly. When I first came in I realized I didn't have my phone with the email on it and I had to run back out to my car and come back in. The guys popped right back to the desk to help me when I came back in. The box I had put it in was a little too big. I told them I had added some stuffing but I wasn't really sure what else to do since I didn't have the box it was originally mailed in any longer. One of the gentleman said it would be no problem to break the box down a little further so it would fit the item perfectly. I was having a pretty rough day and this UPS store really did a phenomenal job! They were just lovely compassionate humans, efficient and took great care of what I needed their help with. I was having a hard time with a specific amazon return that only gave me an option for a pick up from my home address. Not only did they help me cancel the return and get to a live person on amazon chat but they helped me get the proper label and return code replaced on my package. Honestly, I know they could have just told me to go home and look for the drop off option but they were patient and courteous to walk me through each step and I was able to walk away with what I needed when Amazon was making things hard (most likely the seller within Amazon). I asked about opening a mailbox. They were SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive than other stores in the area. I'll use my service in Mooresville even though it's a longer drive. read more

I have been to this store several times and had great service but today I went in to get something packaged and shipped. The lady behind the counter quoted me $40 dollars to pack and ship and told me it would cost more to ship usps than use ups for $22 dollars and was very rude. So I told her to pack it and I would take it to post office. Then she told me I would have to come back and get it because she had to pack it between customers their were no customers in the building when I was there. So I came back to get it and took it to post office and shipped it it cost $13 to ship so this lady lied to me so I would spend more money at the ups store to ship it. This lady must hate her job and by doing so they lost a customer. read more

I frequent this location a lot, as it is a convenient place for me to drop off prepaid UPS packages. With that said, I don't think I would ever use them for any other services ever again. I recently paid them to package an item which I sold online. The item arrived damaged and upon filing a claim, UPS denied the claim, stating that the damage was due to the UPS Store's poor, inadequate packing job. This was the same sentiment expressed by the buyer as well. Upon discussing this with the UPS Store's employees and franchise owner, they told me that I was totally out of luck. They refused to help, as I paid for the shipping fees on my UPS account, as opposed to theirs. I had all of the proper declared values and insurances, so it shouldn't matter at all. It was just an excuse. Essentially, I'm now out a few hundred dollars with no recourse. I trusted this UPS Store franchise to safely package my items, but I shouldn't have. I suggest that you don't trust them either. They don't stand behind the work that they do. read more

I went into this store to ship out a large package and received no assistance, no tape, and was treated with extreme prejudice and the tall older lady behind the counter was anything but pleasant, nice or helpful. I packed up my large package and went to the The UPS store on Sam Furr Rd where I was welcomed at the door with an abundance of assistance and tape. Moral of story.... skip Cornelius UPS and head to Huntersville UPS where your business is welcomed. read more

Mostly I have excellent service from this vendor. We send them stuff all of the time and they just charge it to our credit card and either mail the receipts to us or have it ready when we pick up. For us they are a fine business partner. read more

I had a very unique shipping requirement and Joe, the owner of Lake Norman Freight/UPS Store #2193 went above and beyond their normal scope of service to help me. I live in Austin, TX and I found an outstanding deal on Craigslist from a seller in Cornelius, NC on an item I'd been looking for all over the country. The item was heavy (80lbs) and the seller was moving and did not have time to arrange any shipment for me. So, from Austin, I searched for "shipping, Cornelius, NC" and Joe's store came up. I called them and Joe answered. I described my situation to him and he told me they could pick up the item from the seller, crate it and ship it to me. He quoted me a price right there on the phone. Also, he was able to take my payment via PayPal, so that made it even easier for me. So far, this was all in the scope of their service, but it was all handled so personally and professionally. My remaining problem was how to get cash to the seller who was not set up for PayPal and have time to figure out how to accept wired funds. They needed cash at the time of pickup. So I asked Joe if he would let me pay him what I owed the seller and he could get the cash to her in person. He very graciously worked with me and consented to do it. This was not in his normal scope of service and I suspect he doesn't want it to be a regular request, but I mention it as an example of the personalized service I received from this locally owned business. I have been in the location a few times for various business needs. Though the store does provide many unique and helpful services, when I asked for a brochure I was told that they do not have a list of their services or how much it will cost you. This means you need to ask how much for each service. Each time that I have gone to the shop there are rarely any other people there and the workers seem surprised to see a customer. It's almost like they glance up, see you, look around to see if anyone else is going to help you, notice that no one is, so they leave what they are working on, saunter over and ask if they can help. Most often the staff members are fairly pleasant, but not eager nor bursting with enthusiasm to collaborate with you on whatever your project is. They'll probably be able to help you accomplish what you need to do and they do produce good work. read more

The customer service we received from your employee, Collin, was unfathomable. He started with telling us immediately that they could not print a label addressed to our home address for someone to mail something back to us, and refused to explain why. Let me mention that he never smiled or apologized for anything that he did wrong during this entire interaction. When I told him that I needed to leave with an empty, prepaid envelope and that I didn't have what went inside of it with me, he became condescending and basically called my mother and I stupid for not bringing our stuff. We nicely explained that we needed to empty envelope to bring with us into Charlotte for my visa appointment (I am a college student who is studying abroad next semester and they have to mail my visa application items to the Italian General Consulate in Philadelphia). He repeatedly told us that this is not possible and that he has been "burned" too many times (like what does that even mean??), and ended with "for the 5th time, I can't do that." That is when we left due to the rude way in which we were talked to. No one should never talk to someone in that way, much less a customer. He clearly didn't understand what we were asking and didn't feel like giving us the time of day to figure it out. We then went to a different UPS in a different town, and walked out with the correct items within 10 minutes. Collin was UNBELIEVABLY rude to us, customers who have used this store for years, and ruined our entire perspective on this store. We will not ever be going to this store again and will steer all of our friends away from it as well. As someone who is most likely half his age and who has worked with the public for only about 5 years, I know that customers should always be treated with respect, regardless of the situation. Collin clearly still needs to learn this lesson, in addition to how to be professional. We now drive down to exit 23 to receive much better service. read more
