This location opens and closes one hour later than the Meadowmont location: 9:00am-7:30pm, Monday-Friday and 10:00am-5:00pm, Saturday. Both locations are closed on Sunday. If I need to go to the UPS Store after the Meadowmont location has closed for the day, I will come to this one. (The Fordham Blvd location in Chapel Hill has the same hours as Meadowmont.) I came here and dropped off a bag of used Nespresso pods to be recycled. The bag had a prepaid shipping label on it. The UPS Store employee gave me a drop-off package receipt (standard). During my visit around 4:30pm on a Saturday, the store was busy with a socially-distant line outside and everyone mask-compliant. There were two employees and only two to four customers inside the store at a time. The employees were polite. They worked fast and efficiently. This is UPS Store #5399. It's sandwiched between four businesses. The parking lot in front can get congested. I suggest parking around the corner on the other side of Mattress Firm. It's much easier to pull in and out there.

It's especially convenient for drop offs and bringing in packages so they'll compare prices between carriers for you. They also carry a solid supply of shipping materials that you may need. The staff is also always very friendly, but at times may not be the most knowledgeable, this is usually ok though as they'll consult one another and get the necessary information. However, last time I went I was using a flat rate usps box and when I handed it over I was quoted twice the actual price, I know this for a couple reasons, the first being that it was a flat rate box and the prices are published. The second being that I just kind of said I'll think about it and went to the post office down the road who shipped it for the actual price which was literally half what the postal annex worker had quoted me. Now I'm not sure why their price was so high for the same carrier (usps) other than assuming that he did not quote the base price and instead quoted a price with add-one like insurance, tracking, etc. without asking me. Overall though I have always had positive experiences, and would still highly recommend, just would warn to be a little weary and ask some questions about specifics.

I was met with silence, followed by a sharp response: "We put them away for the day." I tried to keep things light by saying, "Okay, well, hi--how is everyone?" but received only a curt "We're good." I waited in line quietly until a young lady assisted us. My daughter, overhearing, asked about the puppies, and I explained there was usually a Great Dane and another dog. That's when a male employee interjected harshly: "I had to put the Great Dane down--you should be careful with what you promise." I was stunned, both by the rudeness and the sad news. The female owner then clarified that the dog had MS and could no longer walk, which explained the decision. I truly apologize for unintentionally reopening that wound; I had no idea, given the time since my last visit. A lot can change in two years, and I understand the pain of losing a beloved pet. That said, the tone and delivery were unnecessarily aggressive and off-putting. I simply wanted my daughters to share in the positive, dog-friendly experience that first drew me here for my business shipments. Unfortunately, the vibe now feels cold and unwelcoming--the energy is gone, and without that unique niche, there's little reason to return. I rushed online to research some kind of solution, believing I was simply f-ed, and Legal Passport was an option. I contacted them and worked with Paul, and the same day he had me on track to put my documentation and authorizations together, ship overnight to his courier team, an appointment at the regional agency for an urgent passport (I do not live in a state with an agency and would have had to flown to one, assuming I could get an appointment). I found out this disaster was the case on Saturday, had the documents with Paul's team on Monday evening, the passport processed completely by the government by Tues evening, and the passport in my hand on Friday with 5 days to spare. Really incredible. I have read reviews that Paul is rude or otherwise unprofessional. This was not my experience. He can be sharp, but it is because he wants perfect execution of what you need to put together and send so that there are no hiccups and you receive your passport. Every hang-up will be a delay and reduce your chances. He is not a magician - the government can simply take a long time or have an issue with something minor that you missed. He was extremely responsive to me on call and email and took sometimes 8 calls from me in a day. I also imagine he is dealing with a ton of very stressed people looking for an instant fix to an issue. Paul and his team helped me avoid what would have been an absolute catastrophe both financially, emotionally, familial-y. Thank you so much to you and your team. I highly recommend Legal Passport.
