I visited the UPS store in the Carefree Marketplace. Apparently Cox, Communication and UPS have an agreement. When you return their cable boxes, the staff tell you to take it to UPS. I found a box that was suitable for both returned devices. I visited the UPS store and told the staff what I was doing. She got the paperwork together and scanned everything that was being returned. She gave me a receipt to show proof of items being returned. You do not need to box the items. Also, Cox does not want their wires back just the devices. It couldn't get much easier than this. Each Cox shipment goes out at 4 PM daily. They should have the equipment within the day. Shared parking lot. read more

I rarely post reviews and rarely say anything negative but this owner is rude and it's amazing he is still in business with his negative approach to customers. I have used this UPS store for years and never had any issues until Michael 'the owner'' appeared. The other staff has always been amazing read more

After all the horrible reviews one would think the owner could learn from his mistakes. A little respectful advice, don't charge $5.00 for a small strip of tape. You're stepping over dollars for dimes. I won't be back. read more

I recently moved back to the area and have always used UPS. Let me say until now or if I do use the UPS I won't go to this one. As a social media influencer I won't post this on my platform because this is the fair thing to do. Let others know respectfully.I know the importance of excellent reviews. I walked in with an Amazon return today and was told I could pay $14 for a box because my box Needed another box. No problem. I went back home and came back within five minutes with a box out of my garage, problem solved. The girl at the front then says you'll need a piece of tape and that's gonna be five dollars. Are you kidding me? After calling around to other UPS stores this is the only one I found that does and to make matters worse the owner of the business walks out like he's hyped up on anger and He looks at me and says you need to read the instructions! Looking at your review rating I see why the low score. There is also an extra pending charge of $11.95 . I don't have a receipt for $11.95 because I did not authorize it so if this is a mistake I can accept that. But we will see if that charge sticks. read more

This is the location that I return all of my Amazon packages to. They are always helpful and friendly. It's so easy to pop in and do my return here. read more

Always accommodating. I drop a lot of pre labeled UPS items at this store. In a pinch they have had several packaging supplies I needed too. read more

We have lived in Carefree Az for 26 years and just sold our home, and moving back to Chicago. The owner Michael has been amazing to deal with all the years, and now making our move very easy. He suggests the best possible options to send many boxes to save you money, and even picks them up from my house. They are packing my bronzes and takes special care to make sure that we are pleased. Highly recommend. Bravo read more

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one with a negative review. Moved here just over a year ago and when I would go in for assistance I was typically greeted with a friendly, helpful individual. As of late, every time I bring in Amazon returns, you can tell it's a HUGE inconvenience, and a rather rude attitude. Could be something to do with it being a family run business. You are not entitled! Not my problem that you agreed to partner with Amazon for returns. Do your job, smile, be friendly and get your paycheck. Going somewhere else! read more

ter going here for quite some time, one day I needed a small piece of tape to close a box. The owner and the young lady working at the counter politely told me they wouldn't give me one. So here's my polite response: I must unfortunately give you one star for that short sighted choice, and now frequent the UPS store in Cave Creek. read more

This location of The UPS Store is great! The staff was immediately responsive to questions before I placed my print order and helped make the process very easy. When I arrived to pick up the items, the employees were very friendly. I had a great experience with this UPS Store and really appreciate and value all they offer. Will definitely use them when we have printing and shipping needs for future events. read more

Well I was desperate and needed to drop off an amazon return quickly so instead of driving out of my way like I have been, I went back to this UPS store. Mike, the owner, processed the return. I asked for the receipt and he said it was "just" emailed to me. A day later, and still no email. I don't understand why this franchise refuses to give a receipt when every other store does with no problem at all. read more

I had a very frustrating experience with the store. They acted as freight brokers for a number of items that I sent back to my mother in Connecticut. The total bill was more than $2,500. They hadn't typed the gmail.com portion of my email address correctly, so I never received tracking information. I left repeated messages for the owner, Michael, to contact me, but he never did. I finally spoke to his assistant who gave me the tracking information. When the freight company delivered, they told my mom they would only deliver curbside. This meant that they intended to leave all the stuff, which included tables, floor lamps, and a bunch of other stuff at the bottom of her driveway, which is more than 100 yards long. The UPS store never discussed this little wrinkle with me. Fortunately, my mom persisted arguing with a truck driver, who finally relented and drove the truck up the driveway and left it in her garage. But this hassle could've escalated into a real crisis, as there was no one handy to help her with the stuff if it were left at the bottom of the driveway. I called the store back up and spoke to a woman there and asked her to have Michael call me... But of course he never did. I am very disappointed in the bad and misleading service that I got from this place. read more

This is the worst store/owner! Unbelievably disrespectful owner (Michael) and female employee. First, when we went in to ship a package, it seemed to be extremely expensive. I thought, maybe since they have no competition in this little town and prices of so many other things have gone up. The pain in the butt to find another place, I just paid the crazy charge. So imagine my surprise when my item was poorly packaged and damaged (the outside was not damaged). They did a crappy job. My family sent me a picture of how it was packaged because it was so ridiculous. So I went to the store to enquire what could have happened. The "owner" Michael was so horrible. He was yelling at me from across the room, demeaning me and literally called me a "Liar." I can't imagine our community putting up with a store owner who treats people with such disrespect. I'm letting my community know: save your money and be treated with a bit of human being respect, GO ELSEWHERE. read more

This is the only UPS store i will never go to again. On 3 occasions i have been in this store when the owner is extremely rude to customers. Twice I have seen people leave the store without completing their purchase. The owner is a hot head with no patience for anyone that doesn't know the ins and outs of how a package is shipped. Do not go here. read more

I had gone to the UPS store at Terravita to have extremely rude service and was told there was no way to tell the difference from the 2 shipping labels they printed for me onto which one went on which Amazon return package. The gentleman behind the counter didn't even attempt to try and help me figure it out. The owner originally seemed nice and helpful and then did a complete 180. I went down the street to the UPS in the bashes shopping center, and the girl was completely customer. Service oriented and quickly was able to help me and solve the problem and I was able to ship both of my items and successfully get a return. Please avoid the UPS at Terravita. Unfortunately after speaking with others I found out that Mike is the owner of both UPS stores. The young lady that helped me at the Bashas center was delightful however after finding out and reading all the similar reviews on Mike the owner, I will drive the distance to not give him business. Please read the reviews of your store and your personal lack of customer service. read more

Wow unbelievable awful experience! After being gouged for a storage fee to get a package that was inadvertently delivered there, the owner proceeds to get loud and defensive and pompously states he owns the closest 3 to this one. Thanks for the heads up buddy. Read the other reviews and avoid this place at all costs. read more

Crew exceptionally helpful. The owner is more anxious to help next customer. Understand but prefer crew who a tree a bit more helpful.

I had to return a modem to that awful Century Link. I was just going to drop and go. Luckily for me the gentleman working told me I was going to want my tracking info because he knew the crooks at Century Link would misplace the returned modem. He was absolutely right!! It took 4 months even with the tracking info for CL to Credit my account. This UPS is our go to!! Thank you!! read more

I love these people, polite, friendly and ready to go the extra mile especially if you didn't wrap your parcel well enough..they are always ready to re-tape ,re-staple. Whatever it needs to get your package in shipping condition. I visited this location for the very first time and it by far was one of the worst customer service experiences in a long time. The owner of the franchise actually stated yelling at me. A package was shipped to his location and he could not find it in his store. He blamed the sender even though a delivery receipt included his name, date, time and location information. This franchise was a horrible reflection of my typically outstanding UPS experience. Hope the service level improves. It's an awfully convenient location that left and awfully bad first impression. read more

NEVER AGAIN will I step foot into this location. I have shipped from here on a few occasions and each experience was worse than the next. Not only was I outrageously overcharged, but the package was not shipped with dry ice following Federal regulations. When I asked the girl at the counter about the packaging, a man from the backroom appeared and began to yell at me, stating that he packaged it himself. I am very familiar with the shipping of dry ice, so as I asked him another question and he continued to yell. I asked him why he was yelling at me and he stated he was busy, the music was loud in his store and he didn't want to come forward. I asked him what his name was and he said "I am the owner." I asked if he had a name and he stated 'Michael.' After telling him he needed to take a class in customer service, he proceeded to step out from behind the counter and sarcastically wave me goodbye. His behavior was childish and bully like and it continued until I drove off. I went to Basha's next store to do a light shop. Another customer who was in the UPS store at the same time approached me and asked what the problem was with the guy from that store. I told him my experience and he stated he would not return to that location again either as they are overpriced and RUDE. Word of mouth is a powerful thing. I believe the reason this ill-behaved owner became so irate was because he knew he did not ship my product correctly, therefore breaking EPA and FEDERAL regulations. He was trying to cover his bum but in the process took my money and had no regard for my product arriving safely. Kindness and concern are absent in this man's business. Save yourself the headache... I wish I would have read his other reviews prior to making the decision to ship there. read more

We came in today to get a print. Mike the owner and Jessica were extremely rude and condescending. They overcharge for everything. They lost business with us. read more

My family had a great experience using this UPS store for our mail and deliveries over the past year. Every time we stopped in to pick up packages and mail we were met with kind and helpful employees (the owner too). One time I came in to ship a package with homemade (i.e., ridiculous) packing materials and they generously hooked me up with proper packing peanuts to keep my package safe. There's a reason for the high referral rate from my neighbors, which is how we found them. This store is run with competence and friendliness. I highly recommend this great team. read more

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible! Never been treated so rude by a business owner. Wish I would've read the reviews before I started doing business there. The parking lot is constantly empty which should've been a red flag. The owner Mike is condescending and VERY confrontational to say the least. He clearly lacks self awareness and is seriously overdue for a course in customer service. There's several other UPS stores in the Valley who will be grateful to have you as a customer. Give them your money and repeat business. read more

Horrible store. Mike, the owner,is the rudest manager I have ever met. He never displays any prices and then he tries to get as much as he can from you. This store is a disgrace to the UPS brand. Go to a different one. I wish I could give it a zero. read more

The owner is rude and unpleasant. Does not support the community. Expect to pay between 50 and 100% more than if you just go to the post office. read more

I rarely have to use these UPS stores, and there's a reason for it. This guy is the poster child for poor customer service. And a jerk as well. There's six people in line and he's heaven a conversation with one of the customers and going as slow as he possibly could. Then when I get there I had a package shipped from someone and they rerouted it to this UPS store. He said he didn't have time to get me my package. He had customers in line. Are you freaking kidding me??? Folks do yourself a favor and never go to this location it's on Tom Darlington in carefree. I believe he's the owner or manager or whatever it is they called them selves now. read more

I would say I had 5 star treatment just minutes ago - I brought in a valuable package to be sent back to store - and the return did not print out so that it could be scanned. A young man working there said if I could email him my return he would try that . I went home and emailed him my return (email from co) and he read it and put that on the package instead - I would say superior service. Pat K - Desert Mtn. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. The staff at this location is extremely rude. Dealt with Jessica who did not tell me that by giving her my usb to print one page would result in a "computer usage" fee until she rang me up. If she would have said "oh, we don't offer that service here but I can do it for you for a $3.00 service charge" I wouldn't have been so caught off guard. I was so bothered I asked to speak to a "manager" who was sitting in their UPS Local store vehicle on his phone and I go up to speak with him and he was even more rude than Jessica. Doesn't take time to listen to your issue just immediately jumps on the defense. If you are operating a corporate branded store but your policies are not the same you have to expect some confusion by customers. I'm a UPS box holder in two different states. I've filed a formal complaint with corporate as I feel the owner of this shop is bad for the UPS Store brand and should understand that when in a small area like Carefree customer support is everything and should never approach someone that is having an issue like a person who has steroid rage. That has no place in any customer service business. I hope others will drive the distance to go to a different company like Fedex Office or local libraries to print because this store, along with the other up the street are not corporate owned stores and do not practice good business. The other reviews echo this sentiment. read more

Actually less than 1 star....negative 3 is more like it. My Mom was trying to ship a business package (Jewlery) yesterday and everytime she asked a question the price went up. The price started at 47 then went to over 100 and that didn't include insurance yet. As she was talking....mentally thinking/ talking to herself...if the business insurance would cover ups since it does cover USPS. She mentioned the post office and was kicked out if the store. When shipping for a client a business must investigate all options. Nobody wants Jewlery lost or stolen. Esspecially something that is priceless to the owner. This ups store was rude and yelling at an 80 year old woman is not acceptable. We have had a business and lived in carefree and cave creek since 1976. Never has anything like this happened out here. We will make sure to let everyone in carefree and cave creek know this business is run by people who are not business, senior citizen or Local friendly. read more

I was charged $75.00 for 1 1/2 lbs of wood and tin. The pkg. arrived at destination much smaller than estimated & 53 lbs less than charged for. When I complained was only met with excuses.
