I visited the UPS store in the Carefree Marketplace. Apparently Cox, Communication and UPS have an agreement. When you return their cable boxes, the staff tell you to take it to UPS. I found a box that was suitable for both returned devices. I visited the UPS store and told the staff what I was doing. She got the paperwork together and scanned everything that was being returned. She gave me a receipt to show proof of items being returned. You do not need to box the items. Also, Cox does not want their wires back just the devices. It couldn't get much easier than this. Each Cox shipment goes out at 4 PM daily. They should have the equipment within the day. Shared parking lot. read more

He suggests the best possible options to send many boxes to save you money, and even picks them up from my house. They are packing my bronzes and takes special care to make sure that we are pleased. Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one with a negative review. Moved here just over a year ago and when I would go in for assistance I was typically greeted with a friendly, helpful individual. As of late, every time I bring in Amazon returns, you can tell it's a HUGE inconvenience, and a rather rude attitude. Could be something to do with it being a family run business. I asked for the receipt and he said it was "just" emailed to me. A day later, and still no email. This is the worst store/owner! Unbelievably disrespectful owner (Michael) and female employee. First, when we went in to ship a package, it seemed to be extremely expensive. I thought, maybe since they have no competition in this little town and prices of so many other things have gone up. The pain in the butt to find another place, I just paid the crazy charge. So imagine my surprise when my item was poorly packaged and damaged (the outside was not damaged). They did a crappy job. My family sent me a picture of how it was packaged because it was so ridiculous. So I went to the store to enquire what could have happened. The "owner" Michael was so horrible. I had a very frustrating experience with the store. They acted as freight brokers for a number of items that I sent back to my mother in Connecticut. The total bill was more than $2,500. They hadn't typed the gmail.com portion of my email address correctly, so I never received tracking information. I left repeated messages for the owner, Michael, to contact me, but he never did. I finally spoke to his assistant who gave me the tracking information. When the freight company delivered, they told my mom they would only deliver curbside. This meant that they intended to leave all the stuff, which included tables, floor lamps, and a bunch of other stuff at the bottom of her driveway, which is more than 100 yards long. The UPS store never discussed this little wrinkle with me. Fortunately, my mom persisted arguing with a truck driver, who finally relented and drove the truck up the driveway and left it in her garage. But this hassle could've escalated into a real crisis, as there was no one handy to help her with the stuff if it were left at the bottom of the driveway. I called the store back up and spoke to a woman there and asked her to have Michael call me... But of course he never did. This is the only UPS store i will never go to again. On 3 occasions i have been in this store when the owner is extremely rude to customers. I had gone to the UPS store at Terravita to have extremely rude service and was told there was no way to tell the difference from the 2 shipping labels they printed for me onto which one went on which Amazon return package. The gentleman behind the counter didn't even attempt to try and help me figure it out. The owner originally seemed nice and helpful and then did a complete 180. I went down the street to the UPS in the bashes shopping center, and the girl was completely customer. Service oriented and quickly was able to help me and solve the problem and I was able to ship both of my items and successfully get a return. Please avoid the UPS at Terravita. Unfortunately after speaking with others I found out that Mike is the owner of both UPS stores. The young lady that helped me at the Bashas center was delightful however after finding out and reading all the similar reviews on Mike the owner, I will drive the distance to not give him business. I visited this location for the very first time and it by far was one of the worst customer service experiences in a long time. The owner of the franchise actually stated yelling at me. A package was shipped to his location and he could not find it in his store. He blamed the sender even though a delivery receipt included his name, date, time and location information. This franchise was a horrible reflection of my typically outstanding UPS experience. Hope the service level improves. NEVER AGAIN will I step foot into this location. I have shipped from here on a few occasions and each experience was worse than the next. Not only was I outrageously overcharged, but the package was not shipped with dry ice following Federal regulations. When I asked the girl at the counter about the packaging, a man from the backroom appeared and began to yell at me, stating that he packaged it himself. I am very familiar with the shipping of dry ice, so as I asked him another question and he continued to yell. I asked him why he was yelling at me and he stated he was busy, the music was loud in his store and he didn't want to come forward. I asked him what his name was and he said "I am the owner." I asked if he had a name and he stated 'Michael.' After telling him he needed to take a class in customer service, he proceeded to step out from behind the counter and sarcastically wave me goodbye. His behavior was childish and bully like and it continued until I drove off. I went to Basha's next store to do a light shop. Another customer who was in the UPS store at the same time approached me and asked what the problem was with the guy from that store. I told him my experience and he stated he would not return to that location again either as they are overpriced and RUDE. Word of mouth is a powerful thing. I believe the reason this ill-behaved owner became so irate was because he knew he did not ship my product correctly, therefore breaking EPA and FEDERAL regulations. He was trying to cover his bum but in the process took my money and had no regard for my product arriving safely. Kindness and concern are absent in this man's business. Save yourself the headache... I wish I would have read his other reviews prior to making the decision to ship there. read more

My family had a great experience using this UPS store for our mail and deliveries over the past year. Every time we stopped in to pick up packages and mail we were met with kind and helpful employees (the owner too). One time I came in to ship a package with homemade (i.e., ridiculous) packing materials and they generously hooked me up with proper packing peanuts to keep my package safe. There's a reason for the high referral rate from my neighbors, which is how we found them. This store is run with competence and friendliness. I highly recommend this great team. read more

A young man working there said if I could email him my return he would try that . If I could give 0 stars I would. The staff at this location is extremely rude. Dealt with Jessica who did not tell me that by giving her my usb to print one page would result in a "computer usage" fee until she rang me up. If she would have said "oh, we don't offer that service here but I can do it for you for a $3.00 service charge" I wouldn't have been so caught off guard. I was so bothered I asked to speak to a "manager" who was sitting in their UPS Local store vehicle on his phone and I go up to speak with him and he was even more rude than Jessica. Doesn't take time to listen to your issue just immediately jumps on the defense. If you are operating a corporate branded store but your policies are not the same you have to expect some confusion by customers. I'm a UPS box holder in two different states. I've filed a formal complaint with corporate as I feel the owner of this shop is bad for the UPS Store brand and should understand that when in a small area like Carefree customer support is everything and should never approach someone that is having an issue like a person who has steroid rage. That has no place in any customer service business. I hope others will drive the distance to go to a different company like Fedex Office or local libraries to print because this store, along with the other up the street are not corporate owned stores and do not practice good business. Actually less than 1 star....negative 3 is more like it. My Mom was trying to ship a business package (Jewlery) yesterday and everytime she asked a question the price went up. The price started at 47 then went to over 100 and that didn't include insurance yet. As she was talking....mentally thinking/ talking to herself...if the business insurance would cover ups since it does cover USPS. She mentioned the post office and was kicked out if the store. When shipping for a client a business must investigate all options. Nobody wants Jewlery lost or stolen. Esspecially something that is priceless to the owner. This ups store was rude and yelling at an 80 year old woman is not acceptable. We have had a business and lived in carefree and cave creek since 1976. Never has anything like this happened out here. We will make sure to let everyone in carefree and cave creek know this business is run by people who are not business, senior citizen or Local friendly. read more

I was charged $75.00 for 1 1/2 lbs of wood and tin. The pkg. arrived at destination much smaller than estimated & 53 lbs less than charged for. When I complained was only met with excuses. I am happy to pay for convenience, but not being ripped off. Would not recommend them. Update: The owner called personally, explained their policy and gave credit for the full amount. Dropped off a package to be sent to Nordstrom. Handed the employee the prepaid USPS label. They said they would tape it on. They taped it to someone else's package and that persons on mine.
