I'm here at this location probably three times a week and I've never received anything short of stellar customer service from this family ran business. Raymond's review is outright false and distorted. The gentleman walked in and was upset because they misplaced an important letter. I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life at this location. The worker was extremely unprofessional and rude while I was trying to return several Amazon packages. I came alone with a few heavy boxes and received no patience or courtesy. When he asked if I knew the code for each package, I explained that I had already checked and ensured all items were properly packed, expecting he would simply scan the return labels as usual. Instead, he was dismissive, impatient, and clearly irritated. To make matters worse, as I walked out carrying the remaining packages back to my car, he made a rude comment as I opened the door. That was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. I will never return to this UPS location again. No stars. I HAD TO GIVE ONE STAR BECAUSE THIS PLATFORM DICTATES IT, but this business deserved none based on this man's non reputable practices. Unfortunately, the tiny Filipino man was rude. He left us waiting for a long time. Didn't type in the right email address making things take even longer and after he notarized the application wrong, he refused to redo it unless, we paid him the fee again. He also stole cash from the register when he had me pay in cash. He gave me an old carbon copy bill of sale so he didn't have to enter the money legitimately in the computer. Well I tried again. The little Man at the service desk has the personality of a.... Anyway, I only came to this location because it's the one closest to my office. Do you know they wanted to charge me $1 to use their tape?!! The one on Robertson in Beverly Hills (nearest my home )...the one on Slauson and Fairfax don't charge and they look wayyyy better than this location and the people have customer service attitudes. I would never recommend this location without a briefing . Like, make sure you have a dollar for tape and thick skin to help you ignore the attitude. Thank goodness a customer said "I have tape in my car" and gave me (12in) as much as I needed. Because I I would've left and I needed to return an item. My wife went in to pick up a Nike online order that was placed on 5/27/26 with the free shipping/pickup at UPS location for any $50 or more purchase option that I selected at time of order. I was not charged, nor did I give prior authorization for any additional shipping charges upon completing that online transaction. Upon attempting to pickup the package, my wife was told by one of the UPS Store reps that she would have to pay an extra "$5 pick up fee" for a package in my order to be released. Evidently Nike shipped my SINGLE order which had a SINGLE ORDER NUMBER in 2 separate shipments. Even with me on the phone and my wife in person explaining ourselves, the representatives WOULD NOT RELEASE MY PAID FOR PROPERTY to her. I as the customer should have had no additional charges incurred when I did not previously authorize any such "$5 pick up fee". On principle alone, I asked my wife to refuse to pay the arbitrary and non-authorized "$5 pick up fee". I contacted Nike to refund this portion of my order. Items that my child needed for upcoming sports. Needless to say I will never step foot into this UPS Franchised store. Extremely Unprofessional and arbitrary in their treatment of paying customers simply attempting to pick up my PAID FOR PROPERTY. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Came in on a Friday at 9:45am and the 3 staff on duty were some of the rudest and most incompetent people I've met. The manager had no idea what he was doing, the younger gentleman seemed like he was in La La land and the 3rd guy, don't even get me started on he was absolutely the worst human being I have met, no social skills, no customer service skills. UPS really needs to investigate this store cause wow that was an awful experience. Responding to the answer I was given by the local customer support. Obviously no better than my review above. They are always rude!! I've been there maybe 4 times and they've been rude every time with the exception of once. When you return items from TikTok it clearly says no box or bag needed. I have used this place in two separate occasions. I got charged $20 for a small box that weigh basically anything to be shipped someone local. I should have realized that was a red flag, but I went with it. Today, I went there to get an Amazon shipped and the cashier tried to charge me to tape to close the lid. BE AWARE of them. We called with dimensions to get quote on packing an item to be shipped and we had the prepaid label. They told us $20.00. I sent my Daughter and they told her they would pack it later. My daughter gave them the shipping label and my credit card. When she got home, I saw that UPS charged my card $26.74. I called and talked to the manager. I said not only is unethical, it is illegal to quote one price and charge another. The manager said he didn't see anything wrong with that. I was told by the customer service rep for ups that my package was dropped off at the location at 5:20pm yesterday and I arrived here after 5:30pn, waited in line for 10 mins and was told by the person who was too lazy to look for my package that it was not dropped off yet. He referenced a note pad that he had in front of him and never bothered to check the pile of packages that were sitting behind him or me. I'll start by saying I'd love a response from "Owner". This review isn't for the mail services part but the notary working here who wouldn't accept an expired ID that was issued last year, when up to 5 years from issue date is permitted. Here's Secretary of State of California's official handbook for notary: https://notary.cdn.sos.ca.gov/forms/notary-handbook-current.pdf (see attached picture) It clearly states it should be current OR have been issued in past 5 years. And it can be from another state or even Canada or Mexico. My friend went in with ID that was expired by two months. The regulation states that the ID can be expired for 5 years from ISSUE date and still be ok. Note: the man did not dispute this caveat. He said he knows math implying we don't and it's more than 5 years from issue date (not even close, it was issued last year) and would do it but he's not comfortable, but my friend kept saying how it should be ok she looked it up and called ahead, and then he's like, "if you're gonna argue I'm not doing it." To be clear he agreed and seemed to be aware of the 5 year stipulation but apparently was saying it's been more than 5 years which is just flat out wrong. It was issued last year. I wish I could go back and ask him wtf he was talking about and to explain his math but we didn't want to yell or be nasty. Friend even wished him well and we left. Going from "I'll do it" to "no you want to argue I won't." Lol like what. She didn't yell or hurl insults, wasn't disrespectful, just stated she looked it up and called ahead and even flew with her id and tried explaining it hasn't even been 5 years since issue date and asking him what he's talking about by saying it's been more than 5 years. She came to ups I believe to allow her mother to make healthcare decisions for her disabled daughter. I was upset at my friend and told her she should have just ate shit and gotten her job done and ignored him, but now I'm upset at this man. It absolutely wasn't doubt about her identity that prevented him or the ID being old, it was his fragile ego that got in the way of his professional obligation. I even attested I've known her over 8 years she was my neighbor and I have ID. He went from "I'll do it" to "i can't do it" just cause she was stating the rules and regulations of his own field that he should know. Yes I dismissed your options because they were ridiculous. #1, Drop off half of the packages I was trying to return #2 Ask amazon for a second label? I already selected return two items, they shipped it in two boxes, amazon knew what was headed their way. And guess what, when I went to another UPS store they printed the label twice and BOOM! Returned and refunded. So you were just being difficult. #3 I magically fuse two boxes together ? #4 A shipping store that has 1000 rolls of packing tape that cost pennies, charges the customer 75 cents to tape the two boxes together. You can look through other reviews people and see that they do this to all their customers. I'm not sure what threats you are talking about, I made a promise that I would leave a bad yelp review and complain to Amazon... and here we are, me fulfilling my promise. I also reached out to Amazon customer service and let them know my poor experience with your location. Regarding the other patron who did not want his photo taken... he said that while getting in front of me taking pictures, so I respectfully told him I was not taking his picture, and everyone in my photos has been blacked out. I went this morning to return Amazon product. 40 minute wait. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and we were left outside. They only had one member of staff. Also I was charge 75 cents just to use their sellotape. I've never closed the box before because they have to put a label inside. It just makes me question the world we live in when we have to charge for the use of some sellotape. With everything happening in the world surely that can be a business expense. I arrived at this place I only needed to make a return with QR code UPS scan and that's it, but when I got in line (1st in line), they had 2 cashiers and the one on the left was serving a customer and the one on the right was ,instead of greeting and asking how he could help me, he started shouting obnoxiously loud "Oh yeeah ohh yeeah" repeatedly and he never asked me if he could help and continued ignoring me. I have always used UPS for different things for years. But never have a ever had such a terrible experience as i did today with the owner ILDE he wanted to over charge me to ship something out . This is by far the worst UPS location anyone can ever go too. The owner is by far the most rude, inappropriate, and uneducated person. He has no customer service skills and he thinks because he's the franchise owner he can ignore UPS standard policies. I've spoken to him twice before in person and again today over the phone, and it's disheartening to assume based on his communication that he lacks proper manners and human empathy. Rather than offering good service, he yelled at me over the phone and then hung up after I made him aware that I dropped off a package to be returned to sender, that was once again dropped off to me. I understand that he's not solely responsible for the driver's mistakes or their lack of understanding and communication, but it was the UPS franchise owners response and actions towards me that upset me. He had no concern that I took that 12 pound package back and it was once again on my doorsteps. Had his customer service been helpful, or kind I would not be complaining. I also spoke to one of his employees after I had to call back, since I was hung up on. It's quite evident that his employees are also dismissive about his actions and I understand that he is in a position of authority. Had the owners customer service been helpful, or kind I would not be complaining. His employees also make excuses for him all the time. I went ahead and filed a complaint with corporate and they let me know his behavior is unacceptable, and that they followed the wrong Return To Sender procedures. Response To UPS Owner's Follow Up on Yelp: I'm sorry you don't understand and refuse to accept responsibility for your disgusting actions. You didn't follow UPS' Return To Sender policies and their costumer service policies. The issue was not the Return To Sender procedures, but how you handled the matter. Had you done your job right, I wouldn't have needed to file my complaint against you with corporate. I've made corporate fully aware of your rude and unprofessional yelling, and the responses you have provided me and other customers both in person and on Yelp. I advise you don't continue to response to me because I will continue to air out how your employee apologized over the phone for your actions, because he could hear you yelling at me and how you hung up. All I asked for was some common decency and since you failed to provide me with that, I've set out to make it a mission to make sure ALL customers who come across you don't have to endure your wrath. It's summer, I have all the time to respond if needed and to continue to make sure you don't keep getting away with mistreating customers. Previously, I rated their service is Great! But their Social Distancing practice beyond poor! I returned to the store... Social Distancing still poor! This time their Service was also terrible. They verbally lied about next day shipping!!! We paid extra and the guy verbally told us "your packet will be there by 10am, maybe even earlier". Packet was delivered after 830pm!!! Cost me extra fees. I called UPS and they told me I had to file a claim with local store. I returned to the store to find out they lied! Did not even bother to apologize or stand behind their commitment. Instead the same guy replied, you should have read the shipping agreement" Due to Covid they can't guarantee shipments. Why did they not say that when I first placed the shipment? I would have considered other options like FedEx, which I have used several times in the past even during Covid. Never a problem with them. My experience here was great, actually the BEST. I walked in asking if they do live scan fingerprinting and the gentlemen in the front said yes, to give him a minute he was with another client. He helped me process my live scan fingerprint information, took the time and made sure everything was correct. I believe his name is Idle. I'm sorry if I got that wrong but he was very helpful and made my experience here very comfortable. Also he helped me do copies that I needed and asked me to check if he didn't miss anything...which he didn't, he got them all! I thought it was going to be a hassle but thanks to Idle, everything went smoothly. Thank you again for being a great help. I will definitely come back to this UPS again! :) read more

I went in there last week to drop off a package for the UPS- and the short Asian man who claimed to be the owner threw my package on the counter after he picked up to evaluate the weight. He also said there was a three dollar charge because it wasn't taped properly. I said that I hadn't had to pay for taping at other UPS stores. He replied in a harsh tone"My store, my policy!!"
