I paid the shipper $18 extra for UPS delivery of package for a local UPS store pick up. It arrived today; and the manager, Regina Padilla, at the The UPS Store 3167 San Mateo NE, ABQ, charged me ANOTHER $16.14 to PICK IT UP at her location. She said the UPS stores are all independently owned and operated. She said she was entitled to send my package back to the sender or I pay $15 fee plus tax to pick it up ($16.14.) All other UPS stores in the US I've frequented never charged me to pick up my package, nor treated me so ill mannerly. Karma. read more

i have been shipping expensive native american items for more than 30 years . i have found this family run ups store #2210 to be the best, most competent and friendliest store of any kind anywhere!!!!! they have consistantly taken the same care of my pieces that i do. there are at least4 more ups stores in the area and none of them compare. in fact, ups store #1212 ripped me off this week. i had a neighbor drive me who thought they knrew where store number2210 was.they didn't. i was ripped off for aprox. $240.00. i will be contacting ups corprate to give props to store 2210 and request a return of the amount store #1212 took me for. i am quite disabled.store 2210 always goes out of their way to assist me in every way possiblre. store 1212 took advantage of me and had me standing which, is the hardest thing for me to do, for at least 10 minutes. one counter person was assisting another customer as a young girl stood in the back of the store watching me. maybe she was wondering how long itbwould take before i fell over. when i questioned the amount, informing this "little girl" of the overcharge.her reply was " this is what this stofre charges" gregory thomas read more

I had wine shopped to this San Mateo location. The arrangement for shipping was set up with the Vineyard. It was becoming difficult to be home because a signature was now needed by the UPS delivery person. Hard to sit all day and wait. I have a busy life. When I set up with the vineyard representative, I specifically asked the rep how I would be notified when the wine arrived at the UPS facility. She told me they would notify me because the vineyard would make the proper connection with UPS. Of course, that did not happen. Called vineyard and left a message. Called UPS and was told for $10 I could pick up my wine. Already paid for shipping...not happy. When I arrived at UPS the manager told me that I needed to fill out an ACCESS application with UPS to avoid the charge in future. She also said the UPS program was evolving to something else. Didn't know the name of the new program..."Choice"in the title. Don't remember the manager's name but she gave me the wine shipment without the charge...Gracious beyond and patient with me through the entire process. Thank You UPS. The vineyard, Wente, will hear from me to make sure their representatives understand what needs to be done to shop to a location. read more

What's the point of having a sign to enforce wearing masks? Your employee told me he didn't need to "he's fully vaccinated". I'm not, and I felt really disrespected by his smart mouth. You have a sign outside saying you're wearing masks for our protection but you also let in customers without them while I was there. You suck and this is a major disservice to your customers. I was not aware of "Delivery Surcharge" to rural areas until I looked at receipt. Even after I asked if USPS would be cheaper, which would have been $8 less since USPS does not charge Delivery Surcharge. They usually do well at this store otherwise. read more

I have been using this particular UPS store for over 15 years. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they know their stuff. I have xeroxed reams of papers there over the years, sent faxes from there, used it to drop off UPS packages and US mail [which they accept], my wife uses it to send off huge Xmas packages and to ship baggage to Europe. We have had documents notarized there. And their prices seem pretty reasonable to me, and they are trustworthy. Oh, the Yelp map is inaccurate. This store is actual just South of Aztec on the West side of San Mateo Blvd....about 150 yards north of where it is shown on the Yelp map. read more

I used this store for shipping. I have an old, 2' tall statue of the Virgin Mary I needed shipped out of state. The statue already had some damage to it--a couple fingers were broken off due to age. I pointed out the damage that was already on the statue. I told the UPS people it was extremely delicate so it had to be packed very carefully. They told me they would do a good job and they did not expect any damage in transit. This is how the statue arrived: the BVM was wrapped in several layers of little bubble wrap. (They even put teeny tiny bubble wrap mittens on her hands.) The bubble wrapped statue was firmly packed in shipping peanuts. I do not believe the statue moved at all in the box. When it arrived, the statue was in perfect condition. It suffered absolutely no damage in shipping. The BVM was even wearing a little necklace. Little necklace was perfect on the statue. If I needed anything delicate/glass shipped again, I would go to the store first. I would trust them to be extra careful with my property. Thank you UPS store!!! read more

The people who work here should seriously consider getting a new job. Everybody was extremely rude and not helpful. Make sure you print your shipping labels or anything prior to arriving, because unbeknownst to you, they will charge you a five dollar computer usage fee! Simply to print my shipping label. I probably used their slow computer for no more than 5 minutes. I can understand a fee to print out the label itself, but to sit there and use the computer?! No thank you. I will make sure I go to FedEx next time. read more

First time shipping internationally and had the PLEASURE of hearing from Regina. Only a person with the patience of a saint could not lose their patience with her. I was trying to take down a list of exactly what needed correcting on my package (courier denied it with DHL), and she spoke non stop, wouldn't let get a word in edge wise, and on top of that acted as if I was an idiot because I didn't know what needed correcting. So yes, I got frustrated with her, yelled and hung up. She calls me back and says that I can take my business elsewhere. Actually already did, and received much better service. Just because this is your day job, it isn't necessary to be so rude when customers inquire about things they don't understand. When your manager is in the office, I will also be calling in to leave a formal complaint. read more

Had to go to more than one UPS store to find any of their envelopes to mail in. Huge line of people and only one clerk to help. Computer stations were not working, no tape to adhere labels to packages...absolutely amazing. With other choices, I will not avail myself of their shipping services. However our store does not have any store manager nor employees by the name of Jude. Your review was posted to the incorrect store location . There are two UPS Stores located on San Mateo Blvd. I have been with The UPS Store for over 10 years and it troubled me when I read of your experience that did nor pertain to the correct store. Walked in, the place was super busy and was told good morning and that they'd be right with me. Stood in line for a short while, was helped with my package by a clerk who was not trying to rush me. I hate it when a place is so busy, that they don't take the time to be courteous.....not here, they were very pleasant. My package was taken care of and I was out the door in no time.
