I live in Placitas. Over the past six months I have experienced five different occasions where FedEx delivery people have made false reports to FedEx that they have attempted delivery to my address but in fact they have not (each time I was home -- waiting all day long for deliveries that never came). Today's two-day express mailed package of temperature-sensitive goods not being delivered (but falsely claimed by the driver of delivery having been attempted) was the latest such episode. This regular phenomenon occurs because I am at the end of their delivery route, and they have better things to do instead of their job. I have never had this problem with UPS -- ever. I strongly recommend not using FedEx anywhere in the Albuquerque area. FedEx clearly has a significant problem with the quality and honesty of their employees in this area, and with a company culture that tolerates bad work behavior and conduct. I ordered a $2000 lens from used equipment seller KEH in Georgia. To get it to my house in two days, I paid extra for FedEx second day air. Delivery was scheduled for Friday by 8 pm. I should have realized something wasn't right when FedEx travel history showed nothing after initial departure from the FedEx origin facility in Lithia Springs, Georgia, a day after shipping. But delivery date was still shown as Friday by 8 pm. Since signature was required, I waited at home all day on Friday to get it. I saw the FedEx truck drive by Friday afternoon without stopping. But since the online delivery estimate was still Friday by 8 pm, I figured they could still do it. When nothing arrived by 7:57 pm, I called FedEx, navigated their automated answering jail tree, and requested a delivery to a FedEx office inside a Walgreen's near me. It was supposed to happen by the next business day (Monday at this point). Today is Monday. I called Wallgreen's to check - no package. A call to a real person at FedEx (reached after a few button presses and shouted answers) revealed the package was still at my local Albuquerque depot (at least it arrived in my city). So I requested it be transported to the nearby Wallgreen's. (That was a mistake - should have just gone to the depot and picked it up.) So I called Wallgreen's just now at 5 pm local time. You guessed it - no package from FedEx. The lesson? If you can possibly avoid it, NEVER HAVE ANYTHING SHIPPED VIA FEDEX that you must have by a certain date and time. Staff is friendly and helpful. They are able to give me information on my package and when I would get it. That is why I would give them four stars on the in center customer services. As for the delivery at my home they get one star. I have been home numerous times and the delivery guy never rings the bell to let me know he was there. Luckily most of my packages have not required signatures. However, I live on a busy street and leaving the package by the door is not that great since there is a direct line of sight from the street and anyone could get the package. She said that she would mark it as "damaged - torn", when it was really smashed. She was then rude when I picked it up to see how badly it was smashed and loudly and rudely said that I needed to sign for it first. Complaints to FedEx regarding drivers not ringing the door bell go unanswered. We live in a society of burglaries and theft. Stealing packages from door steps is common and delivery Companies should take precautions. One is to RING THE DOOR BELL!!! Two would be to put the package behind a gate of any sort. However, I only know of one employee that does this. When advising FedEx of an employee who shows exemplary service - the employee is not made of aware of the compliment. Good customer service is the key to customers. Keep up the bad service and you will lose us. And, tell the drivers to adhere to residential speeding limits. On a rainy day, with two delivery men, they opted to drop the box over the gate on the wet ground rather than walk through the gate and leave the package on the covered porch. If I could I would give FEDEX as a company NEGATIVE FIVE STARS! I paid for an envelope to arrive at a business in Rapid City, SD before noon from Albuquerque, NM at $90.00. Which is a lot, but I had to have this paperwork arrive in order to have an apartment for my family to stay, as I am a traveling nurse helping out where our country needs help during the COVID pandemic. Sadly the parcel went from NM to MEMPHIS, TN and is currently "at the FedEx hub and due to the 'natural disaster it has not left TN." The FedEx agreement with overnight parcels is: "if they do not arrive on time, you will receive a refund." So I called the Customer Service line TWICE and talked to TWO different ladies that claim that due to this being a "natural disaster" there will NOT be a refund and they do NOT KNOW WHEN it will arrive at the business in SD! I also asked to talk with a supervisor, I was put on hold for a few minutes, for the young lady to say no supervisors were available. I then asked her to send them an email with my information and I will expect a call back. Her reply was, " The supervisors do not return calls", SAY WHAT!?!?!? I do NOT APPRECIATE the customer service ladies trying to pull the wool over my eyes, stating all parcels MUST go through a Hub before arriving at it's destination - in this case Memphis, TN. According to 'bizfluent.com' there are ELEVEN FEDEX HUBS!! ELEVEN, that's right. "Not every package shipped through FedEx Express goes through Memphis, but the majority of them do. In addition to the Super Hub, FedEx Express has 11 other airport-based hubs that process overnight packages. Delivery is terrible. I waited for my package at home. I was home when the guy came, he rang the bell. By the time I got my front door opened and to my gate he was in his truck driving away. It required a signature. I drove the neighborhood looking for him, no where to be found. I called the FEDEX line and they said he would come back today but he didn't. The delivery says before 8pm but I can pick it up after 6pm. How does that work? And the FEDEX office to pick it up closes at 7PM. WHAT??? So now I have to stay home all day again tomorrow too. I will wait in the garage and driveway or my court yard so I am sure to catch him. I have another package to pick up at a Walgreens but that package still isn't there after two days of being on the truck. Not sure what the issue there is either. Very frustrating to deal with. Since it is impossible to contact local FedEx management directly, I am hoping a Yelp review may actually get someone's attention. We live in the East Mountains and have a gate to our property. Our FedEx profile contains the gate access code. Previously, we had written to FedEx corporate customer service in Memphis. The issue is drivers repeatedly failing to use the gate code and leaving packages by the gate instead. We would go for months with drivers delivery to the door. Then, they would start leaving packages at the gate again. This just happened for the second time in two days. This has gone on for years and there has never been a permanent solution. read more

My package from California was sent with two day shipping to Albuquerque While no one can control the weather their logistics team did not plan for a workaround if Memphis airport was on delay. The ice storm was on every news story. Apparently their logistics dept does not watch tv. My package made it to Albuquerque on day 4 and on the truck out for delivery at 12:19 am and it was stated to be delivered by 8pm. It was a no show and was listed at 6:21 with"local delivery restriction, delivery not attempted" what ever that means. To the best of my knowledge, there was not a fire in the area nor any rooftop shooters so I don't understand what local delivery restriction is other than it's probably time for the delivery person to go home. I do not know how someone does not complete their job.I called Fed ex and after 30 min was connected with their call center in Central America. She was less than helpful. Fed ex does not deliver on weekends so I will try to pick it up myself but I do not count on it I will write a letter to the originating party and suggest that they should review their contract with Fed Ex. read more

If you know me, you know that it is rare I ever give a 5star on anything- no one is perfect. However THIS GUY is wonderful. Now, I am sure the complaints posted are valid, however they do not reflect my service received from them. Our delivery man is incredible. He actually took the time to place my package in a plastic bag, tied it shut to protect it from the rain , then placed it on my porch. This is not the first time this guy has displayed stellar customer service, pride in job, personal kindness and high standards, and an excellent reflection of what quality customer service looks like. They've been nothing but great... gracious, professional, fast... and handling the COVID situation handily with customers at the drop-off. This place is a joke! FedEx in general is a joke. I own a business and my business is not open normal business hours. FedEx will never leave any packages behind even though I have a secure place the parcels can be left. I have even left hand written notes on my window instructing the driver to leave the parcel behind but they refuse. I have gone as far as calling the shipper to see whether the parcel needs a signature but it does not. What really sucks is that once the package is taken back to the ship center, I have to take time out of my busy schedule to pick up what the dumb driver did not leave behind. Expressed shipped two packages and asked for the packages to be dropped off at the leasing office of my apartment complex which I have done often. I even left a hand written note on my door just Incase they tried to drop it off at my apartment. The driver stuck a note to the door and took the liberty of taking the package back to the shipping center. The paper stated to pick up after 6:30 and I arrived at that time and the driver had not returned and the lady assisting me at the counter stated he hasn't returned and should be back any minute and he did not return before closing and they asked me to leave because they were closed. I asked to speak to the manager and they told me he was unavailable and I should come back tomorrow after making a 45 minute travel and to wait for them to attempt to drop it off again tomorrow. Three times within the last 4 months the local FedEx driver has misdelivered my packages. I complained to the 800# FedEx Customer Support after the 2nd misdelivery. (By the way - when I tracked that pkg down in front of a neighbor's apt - I found a third neighbor's pkg had also been left there! It's not just me.) Yet here it is happening again.
