Also since UPS closed both of their company locations a while ago I can only drop shipments off at a UPS Store. Staff always seem to be in a great mood, maybe due to how the managers run the show. I was a staff sgt in the army and happy troops come with good leadership that cares about them. Yes, there is a UPS Store closer to work but I am in and out of this place so fast I am staying with them. They also have a dolly out front if needed that I dont see at other sites where you have to ask for them to pull it out. Again, I cant say enough about how great the staff and service are at this store. More companies should be run like this. I will be with them for the next 20 years.

I frequently buy and sell auto parts on eBay, and many of the items I receive are shipped in similar totes. In fact, I originally received this very tote from UPS when it was used to deliver a transmission to me. I secured the lid with 16 cable straps so there was no way it could open. eBay directed me to the closest UPS store, so I drove there with the tote. At UPS Store #0105, the manager refused to accept my package and insisted that I purchase one of their boxes for $97. After a lengthy discussion, I asked them to provide a written statement confirming their refusal, which they declined to do. I then took the same tote to another UPS location, where it was accepted in less than 30 seconds. For context, the package weighed 51 pounds and qualified as a heavy package. When I explained that UPS accepts plastic totes as shipping containers, I was told they weren't sure if the driver would accept it. So is the issue the material or the size of the tote? Their uncertainty made it clear that they were making decisions without knowing UPS policy. In reality, it seemed they simply didn't want to accept it because of its larger size. Education is key. I strongly recommend that the management ensure staff are properly trained to handle shipments according to UPS policy.

Took it in and started taping. The gentleman there (I call him that because of how nice he was) said "oh I can do that for you". Wow. How nice! When we lived in So Cal pre 2020 the fed ex place by us would not only have never offered this but would have complained I didn't use their boxes. There is a location a bit closer to me on alameda but will drive the extra mile or so to use this location.

I'm elated to write this review!…read more I went to this location today to ship a package. Unfortunately I arrived right before close. They close at 6pm and I arrived at 5:57. I felt bad coming in so close to closing time but I needed to get the package out. Luckily they hadn't locked the doors yet and I was welcomed with a smile despite my bad timing. The service was very friendly and professional. The process was easy and was back in my car around 6:02. I wish I remembered the name of the kind man who helped me but I will always keep his kindness in mind when dealing with unfortunate circumstances. The one thing I will say, if you go to FedEx to ship a package it will probably not be the cheapest form of shipping. However, my packages always arrived safely and on time and that's worth the money for me! Toodles!
