I went in today to discover that it is under new ownership. I was charged $9.25 for a USPS Priority Flat Rate envelope (something that is only $5.60 at the post office, and $6.80 by the previous owners). I wasn't given a receipt or a tracking number for my package. When I asked for it, I was given a photo-copy of the front of my package and told that one of the two numbers on the front of the package should work for tracking. When I got home and put the numbers in the USPS website for tracking, both numbers were "invalid". I called and spoke to the new owner of Parcel Post Plus, Mark. He put me ON HOLD FOR OVER TWENTY MINUTES, came back and told me my package had already gone out and couldn't give me the tracking number, and then preceded to HANG UP ON ME THREE TIMES! When I went back to the store to demand a refund, I was told that it was my fault that I didn't receive a tracking number because I wasn't "specific enough" when I mailed my package. Apparently the owner, Mark doesn't realize that a tracking number is INCLUDED in a USPS Priority Flat Rate. Do NOT give them your business! Mark is a moron and does not know what he's doing! I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and also reporting them to he United States Postal Service.

This review is for the UPS Store at 8226 Menaul Blvd NE in Albuquerque. For approximately nine months, I had refrigerated medication shipped to this location as a UPS Access Point. Every shipment was refrigerated, so I reasonably believed temperature-sensitive medications would be handled appropriately. Then one shipment was left unrefrigerated and ruined. An employee acknowledged the issue and documented it. Management had my contact information. No one called. No one apologized. No one followed up. When the replacement shipment arrived, I finally heard from management not to apologize, but to explain that refrigeration is merely a "courtesy" for non-mailbox customers and that I should not expect my medication to be refrigerated unless I pay for a mailbox. So apparently the policy is: refrigerate medication for nine months, never tell the customer it's optional, leave a shipment out and ruin it, then explain afterward that the customer should have somehow known better. Even more impressive was being told that the store bears no responsibility because I didn't pick up the package fast enough. Apparently accepting temperature-sensitive medication and then failing to store it properly is not the issue the customer is. If refrigeration is not guaranteed, customers should be told before packages are accepted, not after a shipment is damaged. Based on my experience, if you have refrigerated medication, choose a different UPS Access Point.

I'll be the first to tell you I'm not very good with computers and cell phones. I thought I would give them a try. It was about 10AM Monday. I was the only one there. I had my laptop with me. Joey asked what it was that I needed and I told him I had documents on my computer, and could he print them some way. He explained how, showed me how to do it on my computer by sending them an email with the enclosures, and bam! It was done. Joey is a great guy. He was helpful considerate and patient with me, and got me out of a jam.

Today I dropped off a package with a pre-printed label: although it was a "special circumstances" package requiring notification of the Fed Ex employees, I was out the door in under two minutes (probably closer to one). Fantastic - could never ask for better. The phone situation - ah, well - you've got to go through a phone tree and the fellow who eventually answered today was not the caliber of employee I usually associate with the successful Federal Express business. It happens. The value? Well, it's FedEx - it costs what it costs. It's generally reliable and I'm delighted that it's not the world of 50 years ago when it comes to package delivery. Anyhow, only downside was the phone experience - I'm not sure why the rating for this business is presently so low, but my experiences have been pretty good and I will certainly use this place in the future.

I frequently buy and sell auto parts on eBay, and many of the items I receive are shipped in similar totes. In fact, I originally received this very tote from UPS when it was used to deliver a transmission to me. I secured the lid with 16 cable straps so there was no way it could open. eBay directed me to the closest UPS store, so I drove there with the tote. At UPS Store #0105, the manager refused to accept my package and insisted that I purchase one of their boxes for $97. After a lengthy discussion, I asked them to provide a written statement confirming their refusal, which they declined to do. I then took the same tote to another UPS location, where it was accepted in less than 30 seconds. For context, the package weighed 51 pounds and qualified as a heavy package. When I explained that UPS accepts plastic totes as shipping containers, I was told they weren't sure if the driver would accept it. So is the issue the material or the size of the tote? Their uncertainty made it clear that they were making decisions without knowing UPS policy. In reality, it seemed they simply didn't want to accept it because of its larger size. Education is key. I strongly recommend that the management ensure staff are properly trained to handle shipments according to UPS policy.
