While on business in Dallas, Mr. P ended up with equipment that we needed to send back home. I grabbed my trusty ride share app and headed on over to the Addison UPS Store. I arrived slightly before opening, but Terrence opened the store promptly, and let me in with my giant heavy server. He immediately took the item from me and we talked about packaging and shipping. I should note that the store was very open, bright, and clean. The temperature was perfect, especially given the high humidity out here in Texas. Terrence was very efficient, put-together, and polite. We were able to find an appropriate box and get cost-effective shipping back to Phoenix. All the while, Terrence was very polite and called me ma'am more times than I ever remember in my life. I also resigned myself to the fact that I'm a "ma'am" and not a "miss" now. I digress. We completed the transaction with no issues, and I found a ride share back to my hotel. In and out in 5 minutes! Don't. Just don't. Obscenely priced. Over 2x what you'd pay just by shipping it with UPS directly. I'm not sure if the markup pricing is governed by UPS, but if not, it should be. I needed a package shipped for the holidays but was having problems with my online account. After 3 hours of troubleshooting, Customer Service suggested I go to the UPS store since I needed it out critically. Come to find out, they're independently operated and can't accept my account - something I wish UPS customer service would have notified me of. The total? $127.44 to 3 day ship a drone to Idaho. As a bonus, they added delivery confirmation without asking if I wanted it, something I found out later from UPS when I initiated a dispute. read more

One of the employees there, Tony, assisted me in returning some packages back to Amazon and he was so helpful and attentive. Well my experience in the story is quite different than the other reviews I see here. I ran a few days ago to return a couple things back to Amazon and I didn't have the box taped up or anything, just my items in the box and the shipping labels. I was in and out of the store in about five minutes. The female clerk told me not to worry about taping things or putting a label on as they could do it, which she did. This was my first time in the store and I was in there at about 5:30 PM. Like I said, I was in and out, the clerk was friendly and I have no complaints. read more

We had a great experience with this UPS. My husband and I moved to Hawaii several weeks ago. We had to mail over much of our stuff. We used this UPS exclusively and they were wonderful. They helped haul in out things from the car, bubbled-wrapped and packed them while we waited and then helped us figure out the most reasonable rates to Hawaii. Extremely disappointed with my experience with this UPS Store. Went in to ship some flyers, poster and comment cards to a trade show for a client. I had brought a box from the office in order to save costs, but the UPS Store employee placed each item into the box, and used the UPS Store shipping materials to pack the items. Box was sent with overnight delivery to my client, and it never arrived. When I tracked the shipment, I discovered the box had been returned to the UPS Store location because it was deemed "hazardous". Apparently, something had been spilled on the box either at the store or in the truck. Even though it was not something I could have controlled or prevented, this UPS Store location refused to either refund my money or re-package and ship the item at no additional cost. Because I had brought in my own box, and EVEN THOUGH their employee had packed the box, they would not take responsibility. I pointed out that they never told me that using my own box would release them of liability, and still, no refunds were issued or responsibility taken. I will NEVER use this UPS Store location again. read more

Took a computer in to have them pack and ship it and the guy helping me dropped my wireless keyboard on the floor and didn't bother to acknowledge his carelessness or apologize for it. Buyer Beware: I shipped four packages from UPS Store #2257. I am not a shipping expert and trusted the UPS Store to advise me on the best way to ship the packages. They approved my packaging and taped the boxes. Because of the value of the 4 packages I bought their insurance. UPS damaged all four packages in shipping and now UPS is assuming no responsibility for the damage, and will not reimburse me for the damage despite paying for the shipping insurance. With the cost of shipping and the value of my packages, I am out $1,200. This is UPS NEGLIGENCE and a SCAM of the highest order. read more

This was the worst UPS store I have ever been too! Thomas was at the counter and he was rude and not helpful at all. I needed to make a simple return and he made me get on the ground and re-package my shirt even though it was in the packaging and had the return and shipping label on top. Great place to notarize something. But the $78 I paid to ship overnight UPS for 8am arrival was wasted. Package has not arrived and no one seems to be able to figure out where it is. UPS store says UPS picked it up. UPS says they don't have it yet. My experience was such insanity I'll be using FED-EX from here out. I came in yesterday, to have a package returned to the original sender. When it arrived at my business, the tape was undone on the front, which I re-fastened for further shipping. From the moment I walked in the door, tension was heavy in the air; No greeting, or respect paid to the customers being dealt with ahead of me. Boxes were being thrown about as well as sneers, sighs & tapping fingers of impatience. My turn came & I told Josh, the "Manager," I had been sent a package I hadn't ordered, which had a return number & needed to be sent to it's rightful owner. He looked at the package, assumed it had been opened, & stated "I can't do that." I asked him why, seeing how I was instructed to do just this when I called. A roll of packing tape on the counter, he responded by yelling that it wasn't his job & that I had the wrong tape on it, assuming this would get me out of his hair. With no further advice as to where to proceed, I told him it needed to be figured out before I left. He instructed me to remove the (maybe 1 foot) piece of tape, which I sat there and picked to pieces off. He grabbed the box & threw it on the back counter. I asked him to re-seal it so that I knew it would all be sent back as it came. He put tape on it, threw it behind him & said "Are you happy now? You need anything else?" I thanked him for his time & left with him yelling, "These people!" as I walked out the door. Today, the package is back at my business. Square 1. Another employee went to the location to PAY to have it shipped back, dealt with Josh again & ended up being threatened to have the cops called ? as well as service refused! I called for the General Managers number & after asking 6 times, was intentionally thrown the number soo quickly I couldn't hear one number from the next. Very mature. After less than a minute of speaking to the General Manager Jason, at the Preston & Beltline location, he interrupted me- somehow knowing the business I worked at-& told me plainly that I don't have to go to that location. I found him knowing the name of my business curious because I never told him & was using my cell phone. STILL NO RESOLUTION! I then called the Plano location where a gentleman gave me a 1-800 # which would send a truck to my location tomorrow to pick up the package! Why this couldn't have been verbalized to me in the beginning I still don't know. What I DO know is these two locations are ran by kids, who are quite immature & lack business skills. I understand the holidays may be more taxing, but respect should always be given none the less. ****In Dallas alone, there are 272,708 unemployed, who are probably more deserving of an air conditioned job, this kid has.**** read more
