Yikes yikes yikes. Want a good pizza and good service? Just go to vons and get a Frozen pizza and then pat yourself on the back. They can't be bothered to follow directions even when my order was read back to me. The owner AGAIN didn't greet anyone coming up to the counter and I heard her say "i can't take answering the phone anymore" and muted it and walked away while it rang off the hook.. I stood there for 20 minutes before a bus boy came and asked me if I'd been helped. Get the owner the hell out of there. Just like at the juice place she has zero clue what's going on. I wouldn't call myself a pizza connoisseur but I do have a high standard when it comes to pizza. I judge based on 3 things: Crust, toppings and cheese pull. I got the Sierra wave which is pretty much their veggie pizza. The bottom of the crust is a bit soft and fluffy. Normally the crust should be firm-ish so when you first bite into it, you get a small crunch before getting to the soft bread. I give it a 3/5 because the crust end was crunch but the rest fell a little short. The toppings tasted fresh enough so I give it a 5/5 like unless it's obviously old or wilted I don't see why the score would be lower than this. As for the cheese pull, it pull enough but the elasticity could have been more stretch. So the 3/5 is what it comes down to. The pizza overall was good but can't say it hit me in the face wow'ed me. We also ordered the linguine win garlic butter. A very simple dish but simple and delicious is all I was looking for in this dish and it delivered. I would knock that it was a tad too buttery but I guess that's not too much of a problem if you aren't worried about health. Would definitely come back here again for the pizza. SERVICE: Great. No issues with waving someone down when we needed them. PARKING: Good size parking lot. We can here at night on a Saturday around 8pm and it was not crowded. read more

We ordered takeout on our way through town. Took about 30 minutes to be ready- perfect timing for our ride in. Pizza was hot and fresh. He got the 7 Cecil, a medium and it was a good size for him. Have no idea why the 4 stars!?! Thinking maybe a bad night. There was really nothing I enjoyed about our meal, but it was eatable. We ordered a large Rodeo pizza, add onion and a small chipotle chicken wings. The pizza had very minimal cheese and toppings. At first I thought they forgot my onion, but I was able to locate some on a few pieces. The crust was over cooked on one part of the pizza and very dense with little to no flavor. The wings were way too hot, not what I find as the typical chipotle flavor when ordered from other places, and they had very little chicken and seemed like mostly breading. Definitely not worth the $38! I wouldn't have been so disappointed had I spend $20. Dominos would have been equal to or better in comparison. Two stars because it was eatable, the person who took our order was very nice and they were open after 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday. read more

If you order meat lovers you expect more than 1 piece of ham, bacon and sausage per slice. antipasto salad had no crisp to it like it had been soaking. Mozzarella sticks were burnt. Had to wait over 45 minutes to get our pizza. There was only one other person in the restaurant. The server finally came over to tell us that a huge delivery order came in while we were there. You pay for what you get. High quality food and it was still hot when delivered. Decent pizza. We came on a Sunday evening and we were immediately seated. We ordered garlic bread with the cheese addition, the garden salad, and the Sierra wave pizza with the spicy tomato sauce. They take adding cheese to the garlic bread very seriously! There was an entire melted cheese layer on top of the garlic bread and a bowl of marinara for dipping. I think that the cheese layer might ordinarily have been a bit excessive, but I was famished. I appreciated that they put the salad dressing on the side and let us choose two different salad dressings. The pizza was decent, tasty, but not mindblowing. I personally couldn't taste the spice in the sauce -- seemed like regular marinara sauce, but our pie did have a few jalapenos, which might have masked the heat from the sauce. Our dinner consisted of a wedge salad, the meat lovers pizza and the spaghetti with meat sauce. My wedge salad was huge and could easily have been shared with another person. The lettuce was fresh and they gave a generous portion of bacon. Can't go wrong with that.... I particularly liked the meat lovers pizza which came with pepperoni, sausage and Canadian bacon. The toppings are plentiful and of good quality. Their pizza crust is fresh, soft with the right amount chewiness. The spaghetti with meat sauce was also a generous portion that could be shared. It was cooked al dente with a good serving of sauce. The freshly baked Italian bread that accompanied the spaghetti was some of the best I have had in recent memory. The staff is great, but plan on being there for 2 hours if you wanna eat everyday average Italian food, or 45 minutes, if you ordered to go. We had the pleasure of dining at Upper Crust Pizza on Sept 30, 2023. There was a group of 18 of us and I had made reservations for banquet hall a few days prior. The staff with whom I spoke were very professional throughout the process in that they listened to my inquiries and noted my needs. They offered suggestions too. (I didn't know what a pasta bar is). Diego, the manager had been out of town but as Bailey promised he emailed me upon his return with a sample menu and prices. When we arrived the room was prepared with linens, drinks plus wine. The various pastas with sauces plus 2types of salad and garlic bread were so delicious! The waiter (sorry I don't know his name) was attentive but not hovering. The main room of Upper Crust was very busy that evening too. When we left, the employee packaged up the leftovers so we had doggie bags. Between the reservation making to the communication to the great food, our evening was perfect due to the wonderful people at this fine restaurant. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

I walked in to order and. . . wow. . . this isn't your normal pizza place. Very elegant decor. Felt like a fine dining atmosphere. You have to wait to be seated. I hear they have decent Italian for a Bishop restaurant... we called ahead to see if they were open and they told us they were closed for indoor dining but open till 9:30 for takeout. When we got there at 8:55 they told us they were closed. They guy was very rude as well. I'll try it again the next time I'm in town and hopefully I'll come across more friendly and helpful staff. read more

The owner lady has a serious attitude. My friend and I went there about an hour before closing and the door was locked. We rattled the door to see if it was just stuck but the came up and curtly demanded "What you want!!!" We said we thought we wanted to eat here, are you still open? She stormed off clomping her high heels with pronounced steps to accentuate her irritation flung a chair open from a table across the room and stood there with the worst look on her face and hands on her hips. After reading all the reviews about this place (and the fact it was the only other non-chain fast food joint open at 9pm in Bishop, CA...), i gave them a call to order take out 10 minutes before they closed. The lady kindly asked me to wait while she checked if they could do it- and much to my surprise, they did! So awesome customer service to start... Lemme start by saying this crust is pretty damn amazing. It's crispy on the outside and when you bite through, it's perfectly doughy and flavor fills your mouth. The veggie toppings were plentiful; they had artichoke hearts, green and black olives, red onion, green pepper, garlic... and fresh tomatoes. The chicken though, it was a bit dry with some pieces, chopped up smallish in my opinion, and seemed to be an after thought to my order... The sauce was good from what I could taste as it was a bit "light" and many reviewers on Yelp did mention you have to ask for extra sauce usually, which they charge you for... let that one sink in... Cheese... I think they sprinkle that shit on like it's fairy dust... you might have to ask for a little extra on it, but they might charge you. From what I read up on the place they say it's a balance of moisture with the veggies and the cheese... ok, I get it... especially if it's a fresher mozzarella they shred, which it could be... So in review, the crust is the true showcase here, hence the Upper Crust... Toppings the veggies were plentiful, the chicken.. not so much. Sauce is spread on lightly- as if they are rationing you like the gas crisis of the 70s... Cheese is good but like the sauce- you're probably gonna have to ask for a little more on it than usual. Our waitress was so kind and friendly - even bringing out the kids meal early for our 3 year old, as a mom, I really appreciate the thoughtfulness. The garlic cheese bread was divine! I ordered sausage mostaccioli $18. But came out with chicken. But I did not say anything But the real problem was the quality of chicken. This chicken was probably stored in the freezer for very long time. It was tough and hard to chew. It was like eating shoe leather. Therefore I picked the chicken side of the my dish and did not eat. My kids and wife ordered ravioli, fettuccine alfredo and eggplant parmigiana and they were ok. We ordered pizza too because we were very hungry but may be I was already disappointed with my food, pizza was not that good either. But waiter was friendly. We visited on 06/24/2022. We ordered a 16" pizza with ground beef as a topping, chicken sandwich, and garlic bread. Eh... the garlic bread was good, but the chicken sandwich and pizza could be improved. Chicken tasted fibrous and pizza tasted somewhat bland. Also, the men's restroom was dark (there was one light bulb burned out, and the other very dim), and women's restroom had no soap. They should check their supply stocks. read more
