The Diablo pizza! Soooo good
Liv L.

This was such a fun find! We stopped for dinner after a day of exploring and the food was excellent! We got an order of mozzerella sticks (yum) with their homemade marinara (double yum!). We also ordered their Diablo pizza which was excellent- it was a fun twist on typical pizza toppings. Shrimp might be my new favorite topping. We ordered a large and it was giant! They actually have the mammoth which is one size larger too . The service was amazing- the staff were so friendly and accommodating- really appreciate it!! Restaurant had a nice cozy vibe to it! Would definitely come back next time I'm in the area!

Made reservations to watch the World Cup. Service was top notch from the beginning! Ingrid and Becky were attentive to our large party. They continuously checked on us and the rest of the full and busy restaurant. Food was delicious. Best cheese pull in town! Will definitely return!!!

Sierra wave- half without olives

Needed some carbs before hiking the Big Pine Lakes trail the next day and this place delivered :)! I wouldn't say their pizza is the most outstanding pizza ever but it was pretty good! I ordered the Sierra Wave which included so many ingredients such as garlic, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, olives, artichoke and jalapeños. I liked that I was able to custom order the pizza by requesting that only half included olives. It also noticed that they had quite a few pasta options on their menu. This pizza spot is very close to the hotels in Bishop. Their service was great and the restaurant was clean. I would just say this place needs a little more work on their ambiance, since it is a little dull inside.

Minestrone soup and a small garden salad without olives cheese or dressing.

My son and I came in on a Sunday. It wasn't very busy and took them a few minutes to seat us. I got minestrone and a small garden salad without cheese olives or dressing. The salad was bigger than I expected it was crisp and cold. A little wet but I enjoyed it. The minestrone was good. It was probably the highlight of the meal for me. My son got a kid cheese pizza which was a pretty big portion for a little guy. I ended up eating one slice of it. It was pretty cheesy and a bit doughy but he enjoyed it. All in all I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't stand out but it was a perfectly fine dining experience.

The Wave Pizza and I added pepperoni, it was SO Good! I'll definitely stop here again on my road trip!

The service was great, and the food tasted amazing! I'll definitely be back! Got a pitcher of beer for under 20!

Been here twice in the last 2 months and I can not complain. The staff was friendly and the food was great. We ordered a garden salad, antipasta salad, garlic bread and wings. The place is nice for families and big groups. Only suggestion is add a little more toppings to the pizza. Overall great place and we will be coming back for a 3rd time

Small pizza. Pepperoni and Jalapeno

We were passing through Bishop and we were craving Italian. We saw the couple of options of The Upper Crust and the Pizza factory. Glad we went to the Upper Crust! Pizza was delicious, crust was light. My wife had the special and loved the salad and spinach lasagna. Tasted like a grandmother trattoria made the food. Place is great for couples and families! Do not be fooled by the name of pizza! They offer entire Italian cuisine.

I'm a local and been here twice. Awful food. Sauce tastes like it came from a can. Tasteless. Meal was cold.

Super delicious crust - tender inside and crispy outside. Plus the service was awesome.

I think I've just had the best hot pastrami sandwich in my life. Great service as well. Impressed enough to actually write something.

The Bacon & Blue Burger was incredibly well put together and paired perfectly with their crispy fries. I also tried the Arugula Salad, which was really good, although I would've swapped the goat cheese for feta if I had read the description more closely. The welcoming atmosphere and beautiful hand-painted artwork featuring local landmarks made this the perfect post-hike stop. Exactly the kind of meal I needed after 3 days on the trail!

First impression of Mountain Rambler: a casual, laid-back brewery with a chill atmosphere and spacious seating. The AC was blasting, though, so I found a corner table to escape the arctic chill. Ordering was easy, and they were accommodating with substitutions. Not a fan of having to tip before getting your food, though. The checkout wouldn't let me proceed without selecting a tip, so you have to manually enter $0 if you prefer to tip after service. Tried the non-alcoholic shrub drink, which had a tart, kombucha-like fermented flavor. Interesting, but definitely an acquired taste! Ordered the Rambler Burger with garlic fries. Portions were generous, and the fries were tasty. Loved the bacon, onions, and green chiles on the burger, but the lettuce was a little brown and the pretzel bun overly toasted. Otherwise, a solid burger, although it could've used some condiments. The ranch was good but a little soupy. Service was nice enough, but nothing particularly memorable or that extra small-mountain-town welcome you sometimes get while passing through. Overall, a relaxed spot with generous portions and plenty of room to hang out. A few minor food and ordering quirks, but a decent lunch stop in Bishop. My true honest rating would be a 3.5/5 stars

We were towing our travel trailers so we knew we had to park elsewhere. There is a park across the street so that worked out just fine if you don't mind walking about a block. We walked in and right away baked goods were on the table to pick through. They also had displays of goodies! We picked a few things of the table in front of us and just grabbed any goodies that we wanted as we walked in line to be checked out. My friends was ahead of me so when she was done she went to the other side (deli) and picked up an already made turkey / ham sandwich for us to share. It was crazy busy but we were in and out within 15minutes top! It's a good thing I didn't have time to roam and look at everything. I would have gone home with too much. Parking is an issue and possibly finding a seat to enjoy your food. Plenty of parking across the street. Although the store was crazy busy the customer service at the register was very friendly and helpful. I would stop by if ever in the area again to enjoy some of the baked goods. We really enjoyed the pull away pecan sticky bread! This place has been around for quite some time, so it's worth stopping and see what all the hoopla is all about. You get to judge if it's worth stopping. It was for me and I would again.

*Must stop place when in Bishop, CA *Freshly made Pastries,…read morebaked goods, bread... and omg the selections!! * They also have a sandwich deli where you can have freshly made sandwiches made as well as hot case with pot pies. Say yes to both! I wanted to try so many sandwiches but had to settle for one.. Mule Kick. The Beef pot pie was comfort food with a crust that was neither too salty, dry or spongy. * Some tips I learned: the store had two large rooms and they have several check out stations ... you can check out in either room at any of there check out stations *The sandwich line is long... it can get confusing as a check out line ... so unless you are ordering a sandwich... you may want to double check so that you don't hang out in line for 10min to realize you didn't want a sandwich *They have freshly made sandwiches in a grab and go case ... but if you are a bit weird like me.., I'd rather wait in line for a sandwich made in front of me even though I can see the deli case sandwiches being made just as fresh. * Outdoor seating and across the street is a building with indoor seating (and a restroom if needed) *Store has samples of different products they sell and it's hard not to buy everything *Parking is tight but cars but spaces are constantly opened up... so don't despair * Will return when I am up that way again
