This is a cool place!! We had a short wait, which we didn't mind. We were lucky enough to get a booth up front next to the roll up doors, it was a beautiful evening to people watch in Gettysburg! We ordered the Margherita (red sauce) and the four cheese (white pizza), and they did not disappoint! The crust was delicious with perfect ratio of sauce and cheeses. Starting off by saying we visited during the Gettysburg Christmas Festival so they were very busy. That being said, the food was just okay. We had the cauliflower appetizer which was different, interesting. We had the margarita pizza, sweet and spicy pizza and the brisket pizza. They were all okay. Just fine. The building itself is very cool. They had the doors open which was pretty but it got fairly cold inside. We waited over an hour for our food, but they were crazy busy so we expected that. We stayed an extra day to be away from the crowd and came downtown to this place based on yelp reviews. We were seated quickly and loved the fact that we were half way between the ovens and the roll up doors in the front giving us fresh air and a great view of the street. The beer selection is decent and has some local brews. My wife ordered a drink off the menu and they made it perfectly. As for the the pizza, we ordered the gumbo. It was fantastic. T was sweet and had the heat from the andouille. We will definitely be coming back soon as we have a camper near by. Also the service was fantastic. read more

Visiting Gettysburg for afternoon and found this location jus down from traffic circle. This Monday afternoon was not too busy and was seated immediately. No worries though, the dining area is huge. Caution with sitting at side walk seating. Traffic noise can be a little loud with windows open. We were given food menus and a drink menu which includes specialty drinks and a good list of micro brews and other popular beers. We elected to go with a Light & Bright Salad and Four Cheese w/mushroom pizza to share. Our salad was served first and had nice presentation. It had all ingredients mentioned on menu and was ok. Could have been tossed with a little more dressing. If your trying to cut calories this is the salad. Our white pizza arrived soon after which is cooked in doomed pizza oven. For one thing, this place is massive and is kind of warehouse-y but also a restaurant. I've had the pizza and salad here and also came here just for drinks before a show at the Majestic. I think it's a cool option to have in downtown Gburg but I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had. I wish they had a few more salads and also options for gluten free people. I am not but my mom is, and so that makes it less likely for us to come here. I do think the bar area is cool and well stocked. The service from the waiters have been good but you're kind of ignored when you first enter and are at the check in stand, so that can be frustrating. I would be back for drinks but not sure about the food. read more

It was a good place to enjoy a beer, food and a game.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got sat at 6:09 and didn't have anyone even come to our table until we got up and asked almost 45 minutes later. Then it took another 30 minutes for our drinks to get here after half our party had finished their meal and the other was still waiting on food. When our food was served we didn't even have plates for sharing or silverware or napkins. While through out the meal we were served our appetizers. The place was horribly understaffed for a Saturday night during the first night of round 2 playoffs. Other tables were waiting half hour for anyone to take orders as well. The saving grace was our server Amanda who had 10 other tables and had to take on more tables because the bartenders wouldn't. And then next to us was a giant party of at least 20 and the reason it took an hour for us to get two pizzas. I don't know who the manager of this place is, but they clearly have no idea how to run a restaurant. Hats off to Amanda for keeping her cool and doing her best but shame on management for putting their staff members in these predicaments. We stopped in on Labor Day 2021. It's a MASSIVE restaurant, but I think was short-staffed on our trip so we had to wait ~15 mins. When our time came, we were seated promptly and greeted with a friendly waitress. She took our order (2 pizzas and a salad) and took it to the kitchen. Our pizzas arrived fast, with a different waitress hastily putting them on our table and dashing off without getting us flatware. It took us a bit to flag someone else down to get flatware, not to mention that the salad was a little behind the pizzas. Also dressing was on the salad even though we asked for it on the side. Pizzas were good, not the best wood-fired pizza I've ever had, but def not the worst, and a great lunch after strolling Gettysburg. So we walked in and there was no line in front of us. We watched as people haphazardly and slowly moved about with no one picking their heads up to acknowledge us. About five minutes in, someone says someone will be right with you. About five minutes after that another bee hopping around person says someone will be right with you. Seemed imposed upon. Someone comes right away to take our order. We order three drinks. All three in our party have time to go to the rest room one at a time before they drinks come. We ordered pierogis and French fries with some aioli sauce. The fires have some type of red spice on them. The aioli is flavorless. The fries are all little end pieces. As one of the only "late-night" bars in the area, the Upper Crust has the potential to be great--operative word being 'potential'. Being a native New Yorker visiting the New Oxford/Gettysburg area, I was excited by the prospect of visiting a cool, local bar to watch the World Series. Sadly, the terrible customer service left me disappointed and dismayed. While I understand the stresses bartenders face when slammed, it doesn't justify nasty attitudes towards polite patrons. Of the 4 or so employees I interacted with, only one of them treated me with any semblance of kindness; sadly, her shift ended shortly after my arrival. I suppose locals will put up with this since they don't have the luxury of other options, but they'll never get my business again. Food is ~3/5 with an honorable mention to the pierogis (although I wish there were an option to order them boiled). Do what you will with this information read more

I finally visited this location. Living in Gettysburg for 30 plus years and watching the evolution of this location from a Moose Club to a pizza restaurant. I was very please with my recent visit. I was able to be seated up front with the "garage door windows " up seating. My waiter was very professional and was attentive to my ordering. When I visited as I planned was their off hours (3pm) which also made my visit even more enjoyable. I ordered their Gumbo pizza and it was great .... A little lacking on the amount of shrimp. But it was a great pizza and I would order again. I would like to congratulate the owner on such a fine establishment and how professionaly the restaurant was created. The pineapple pizza is worth the burn! What a fun place. Large garage doors mean that even on a warm October evening you feel like you are dining al fresco! Service was fast and friendly. The space is gorgeous-hand tiled pizza ovens and all done in calming shades of green. Lots of craft beer selections and the pizzas are swoon worthy! Think crispy crust and inventive toppings. A friend and I were needing lunch, so we popped in here. Plenty of seating, lots of pizza ovens with PILES of wood stacked neatly throughout. Once inside, you smell the pizza ovens cooking... and you leave with that smell stuck to your clothes. The employees seemed overwhelmed (even though it wasn't a busy time). Our waitress neglected us, and wasn't friendly at all. The happiest any employee looked was when we were leaving. The menu is simple: pizza. There are 2 sandwiches available, 1 salad, and a few appetizers. My friend ordered a pizza, and it looked yummy. Unfortunately, I can't eat gluten, so that limited me to... a salad and fries. The salad was so-so; not really tasty, and also not filling. The fries were fine. If you have food allergies or sensitivities, then you'd be better off going elsewhere. Before I left, I used their restroom which is in the back of the restaurant... and I passed by an area with skee-ball and some other games. FUN! While I was in the restroom, all I could hear was the THUMP, THUMP, THUMP of the skee-balls... which made me realize how glad I was that that part of the restaurant was so far from the front of the restaurant where I couldn't hear any of that! read more

Been in several times, menu changed a little since the last time we were in to offer a few more apps, but they removed a couple toppings. I could understand if there were no longer offering any pickled toppings, but just removing pickled onions seems an odd choice. Mac and cheese bites were flavorless and fried/cooked until half burnt. Czech pierogies were large and cooked well. Pizza was still good, pepperoni was tasty. After specifically asking to not have our table cleared after we ate a first round of food while we went to play a few games, we came back to a clean table. We hadn't left much besides condiments (extra sour cream for more Pierogies!) and a water, as we carried our adult beverages with us, but we would have sat down for another round of snacks and drinks if our table hadn't been cleared. There were still tables open, most right next to ours, so lack of available seating wasn't the reason, just poor communication between the bartender we informed and the bus staff. Please note that I still tipped well for our actual service, as that still met my expectations for what we received here, up to and including our original bartender/server offering a to go water to replace the one that was removed from the table. read more

The young man who took my order forgot to take my name. 40 minutes later when my husband went to pick up the order, it wasn't ready. Why the 5 star?? Because Kelly took it upon herself to find the order and get it done! I've worked on nights in a restaurant when you are so swamped you think you're gonna lose it!
