Chicken and Chicken & Waffles

This was unacceptable. The waffle was burnt to the point that it tasted bitter and looked like it had been forgotten in the waffle iron. It was dry, overcooked, and barely edible. I'm surprised the kitchen thought this was okay to serve. Very disappointed.

They are scheduled to open at 11AM and we had our reservation for 11:30AM. We arrived at 11:08 and they were closed. I called and they said they will open in 10 minutes, they didn't open until 11:36. They had to set up our table. There was no greeting. It was hot inside with a portable a/c. The tables are small square metal and the chairs are small. Now on to the good part. Our waitress was a very kind young lady. The food is good and the Happy Hour is all day.

Brunch with the first ladies. Small place but very nice workers. Everyone was so friendly. Ebony, our waitress was very attentive and kept our water carafe filled. The music was fiya! The dj came around 12 noon and was playing old R&B. He had us all singing Tevin Campbell-Can we talk amongst other songs. The vibe was hitting! My cousin and I will be returning without our moms. Not that they can't come, because that's where we got our litness from. Lol!

Southwestern egg rolls 9/10 smaller than expected but still good

The food was really good, definitely made to order so expect a wait. The $5 margarita taste like really good juice, I wouldn't waste your money if your wanting something strong or to get you tipsy. Better deal was to get the $3 shots they were damn near double shots. My only complaint is they almost forgot my wings, me and my mom were almost finished when they noticed and then they immediately brought it out so I still had to pay and just ask for to go box. I would come back now that I know what to order and wait expectations ! Good music playing, nice vibe, and the staff were nice.

Chill vibe almost any day of the week. Everyday is like Sunday Funday. Live DJ, the wings are HUGE and worth the $$. Music genre: Hip Hop Hookahs available. Bar tender is really nice and came by to make sure we were satisfied with our drinks. Will be back!

I drove from Tomball to this place on the other side of town because these IG influencers really be hyping these Houston restaurants up. Not worth it at all. Overhyped. Should've listened to the reviews. They also charge a "take out fee"! WTF is a "takeout fee" of 18%? Because I don't want to sit in your establishment and yell at the top of my lungs over loud music, I get charged a fee. I swear these Houston restaurants are overcharging just because. I've been eating out my whole adult life and never been charged a takeout fee. I ordered the Oxtail Sliders and the Oxtail Eggrolls. Sliders were okay. Eggrolls were trash. Extremely little for $17!!! 3 tiny eggrolls cut in half to bite size pieces. The eggrolls are literally the size of spring rolls at an Asian restaurant, then cut in half. The prices are not justifiable. Even with oxtail being a premium meat. Mac and cheese was definitely trash. No flavor at all. If I'm paying almost $50 for my food, I better not find any problems with my order. I'd give any restaurant the same energy. I have no problem paying for food and quality and dining experiences. Trust me, my tabs at steakhouses are car notes for some. I wasn't pleased at all and I won't be back. I just hate I listen to these food bloggers and waste my money. I won't trust anymore food bloggers ever again.

I was a little skeptical going here because of some of the reviews...but glad I didn't listen to the folks! Now one thing they did get right is the parking..it is limited. However we went when it opened and had no issues parking. We we greeted when we walked in. They had the trap music playing. It kind of gave me "locker room" vibes. Our waitress was Cynthia and she was amazing. She gave me background on how this started off as a food truck in 2019. She recommended great things on the menu. We had a Appetizer platter with sliders (spicyyyy), good egg rolls, and boneless wings. We shared the catfish and shrimp and grits because we were already full. Now these frozen sidecars yall with a extra shot of Henn got me. I start sweating and had to take a 15 minute nap in the car before my ride back to Katy. I think I may leave out the extra shot next time. Lol. I hear that Sunday is the busy day of them all. It's not a big spot..so plan accordingly. If ever by OST..give this place a try!

I was a little skeptical!! Because the reviews weren't so positive! But I'm so glad I gave this gem a chance. The vibe is very much lit and turn up. They had a DJ. We were there on a Sunday and it was packed. The service was good. A little slow and we had to remind the server of a couple of things. They wrote super busy! Our food and drinks were soooo good! It came out hot and fresh. I was impressed. The place is small and I definitely see them outgrowing this spot! They have the best yams that I have ever tasted from a restaurant! Everything was so good'

I love the ambiance here. The service was great and the food was okay. I would definitely come back.

Perfect if you are or not on your period. Fries were mediocre. 5/5 Veggie omelette Very filling with their hashbrown. Their hashbrown is fluffy and crispy from the brown edges. Extremely delicious with ketchup and pepper. 4/5 Chicken fajita omelette 4/5 (as told per friend) Didnt try but I guess I could trust my friend. It was hefty and had biscuit and hashbrowns! Key lime Pie 10/5 So good and light! The whipped cream was beyond fluffy and not stiff (didn't taste stabilizers) and the custard part was perfection and not too tart or too sweet! The graham cracker crust was sooo moist and I could eat the crust alone! Service 10/10 Lady was so kind and accommodating since we were playing card games. It's been a minute since I've been impressed with waffles. And the marinara sauce that comes with the cheese sticks oh my goodness. Probably the best marinara sauce I've had by far ! Would definitely come back to try more food. I will say I didn't care for the Mac and cheese. Mash potatoes were solid though

I wanted to start with one biscuit, but the biscuits come in pairs. The waitress said I could order just one anyway, but the order ended up being two. I meant to save the second one for breakfast, but that was not to be. It did not survive long enough to make it out the door. My actual meal was a bacon swiss and mushroom burger, which was excellent. Between the biscuits and the burger, I am forced to acknowledge that it was entirely too much food. Sadly, that did not prevent me from eating all of it anyway. Delicious! The restaurant, which is a diner with very basic decor, is on an approach road to IAH, and is open 24/7. When I arrived in the evening, the place was empty. By the time I left, there were a whole bunch of customers. I noticed in other reviews that people were saying they did not receive checks for their meal and felt they were over-charged at the register. I did not receive a check either, but the amount I was charged at the register seemed accurate -- and I was paying attention because I had read the other reviews first.

I have gone back for nostalgia a few times during the day and the food was still made to order, prices were still reasonably low and the wait staff reminded me of a safe place to get rid of my day and my safe diet. Kinda feels like home, missing your childhood and humble beginnings. Somebody's intoxicated, somebody's on a first date, somebody's passing through, somebody's lost, somebody's on their third meal of the day (motel parking lot adjacent) and the server loves everything about your fancy bracelet or handbag. The food is always good, plentiful and efficiently served. The hash-browns and grits are always fresh and cooked perfectly. The homemade rolls are fluffy and delicious and the pancakes are generously sized and thick. And, on the very rare occasion that there has been a mix up on an order, things were rectified quickly and with no hassles. So you should understand that we were devastated by the news that the Frank's location closest to our house was totally destroyed by fire recently. That would be the 1915 Mangum Rd. location. It is my understanding from employees at neighboring businesses that they plan to reopen, at least temporarily, in a vacant building on a lot that is adjacent to the burned building. I have not checked that for any factual accuracy, so take it with a grain of salt, as it were. Meanwhile, we will drive the extra miles to one of the other locations.
