I'll start by saying this is probably the best breakfast burrito I've ever had…read more The parking lot is tinyyyy. The restaurant is tinyyyyy. St. Augustine is a busy place. Therefore, this gets a long wait for breakfast/brunch. It's hard to get a parking spot but there's free parking across the street. They have a big waiting area next to the restaurant which is definitely needed as we ended up waiting like 45 minutes around 9:30 am on a Saturday. The food was definitely worth the wait though. I got the burrito smothered with sauce and cheese and the flavor was fantastic. Flavorful but not super spicy or anything. It's also HUGE. Highly recommend. Service is a little questionable, if it was quicker they could probably help with their long wait. It was hard to flag down our girl when we needed something & it took ages to get to check.

Hard to recommend this one. The service showed a real lack of knowledge and attentiveness. When I ordered whole milk for my coffee, the response was essentially "is half and half okay?" -- no, it is absolutely not okay. These are completely different in taste and calories, and it's not a reasonable substitute to casually suggest. What made it worse: oat milk, almond milk, and whole milk were all visibly sitting in the fridge right there from where I was seated at the bar. Zero effort to offer what was clearly available. The atmosphere didn't help either. The space feels like someone started building a café concept and never finished thinking it through. It's uninviting, disorganized, and oddly off -- not warm, not designed with the customer in mind. Nothing about the food, the presentation, or the space gives you a reason to choose this place over anywhere else. Not particularly tasty, not nicely decorated, not a vibe. Not sure what keeps people coming back, honestly.

We travel a lot USA & Asia and eat out a lot and look for good food at a good value. O'Steen's was a good deal for good food; I saw a lot of locals there which told me the same thing. You register at the outside window by the entrance door and wait in line (outside) to come into the restaurant and go directly to your table Looking back, I kinda liked this approach when I saw how well it worked. They DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS and we seldom carry cash, so we were prepared to pay cash when we went to their website. ..... I give the place a conservative 4.7 stars ... ...... There's a nine and a 12 shrimp order size. This is the best Shrimp I've had in the US yet -- I am from Ecuador. They have a lot of great sides like macaroni and cheese and coleslaw to go with it. They only accept cash but there is an ATM machine outside.

The inside is just as impressive with it's "oil and gas" theme, it's rather small but we were able to get seated without a wait even though it was nearly filled. The staff here was very inviting and attentive, the menu is also themed and fairly priced, we ordered "The Ford Galaxie" two eggs your way, a choice of meats, choice of toast or biscuits and home fries or grit - although the winner here in my opinion is the coffee it's delicious, strong and robust. Unfortunately everything here wasn't perfect the "West Creek Whipped Spread Butter Blend" is an abomination, it ruined everything we put it on, my bad for not asking for real butter after applying it to my toast, my grits and the English Muffin we ordered, it was inedible to the point we left everything on the plate this stuff touched it wasn't refrigerated as suggested on the label I'm guessing. I usually eat only real butter so what was I thinking - so my dilemma is how do I review this place fairly based on that stuff and the fact it ruined our food since we loved everything else. Well I guess they'll get three stars for now and I'll return and maybe bring my own butter because this place is a place you really want to love...

They asked me where do the food trucks normally set up and I explained to them that it's usually beside the leasing office. They thanked me and we both went on our way. I've seen their truck in St. Auggie a few times but I've never eaten from them before, honestly because I wasn't interested it what they served. I was ignorant. Did I even look at their menu? No. Did I make assumptions? Yes and I ate my words. I told my boyfriend about the food truck and he was way more interested than I was, especially during these times when we can't dine in a restaurant. I mentioned that they had bison and lamb and his ears perked up. We let them finish setting up and headed back over to them. I knew that I wanted to try their sambusas as the variety of fillings sounded amazing. We decided on 2 bison and 1 chicken with spinach He wanted to share that and order the Lamb Curry with Rice. We ordered then put 6 feet between us and their order window to give them space. We didn't wait long and we had it in our hands, given and taken at an arms length. We thanked them and we headed back to the apartment. The sambusas are like fried meat patties, like samosas. These were so delicious. The lamb curry was simple with lamb chunks with rice, chickpeas, onions, and carrots. There was some dipping sauce on the side but I didn't use it as the curry was enough for me. This was a satisfying meal. Thank you for stopping by!

At the register, however, the price somehow became $14... A classic food truck bait and switch..though I kept my composure and hoped the food might still justify the cost. After about ten minutes, my order arrived. The disappointment was immediate. The sandwich was remarkably small, barely larger than a sauce cup, and the bread was dry. The so called jerk chicken bore little resemblance to the real thing, and what little protein there was proved equally dry and underwhelming. The dominant flavor came from a generic tomato based sauce, rather than any authentic seasoning. Two bites were enough. The fries offered no redemption: overcooked, greasy, and completely lacking in seasoning. All told, it was one of the most disappointing meals I've had in quite some time.
