This place is the perfect date night. The food was out of this world, the service was impeccable and the ambiance is sexy! I highly recommend you check it out! https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZThy2nxkc/

I came here for my birthday that's how good it is. The Top is genuinely unlike any steakhouse you've been to. It's been the same since 1955 and that's not a complaint. Dim lighting, live piano, leather booths, full Rat Pack energy. Food was good and portions are generous, sides included which you don't always get at this level. Fair warning though: this is not a get-in-get-out dinner. It's an experience, think less 'steakhouse' and more 'guided tour through 1955.' If you're on a time crunch or just want a quick steak, go somewhere else. But if you block out the evening and lean into the vibe, it's a Columbus institution worth doing at least once.

I would give this more a 3.5 stars. The parking lot isn't large so we street parked which was free. The atmosphere is dark and cozy. We were seated by the fireplace which was nice. Service was great. Our waiter made sure to check in on us and food came out quick. We got free bread and the calamari to start. The calamari flavor was very good and I liked the chili dipping sauce, but it was very oily. We also got the sirloin steak and the half fried shrimp. Entrees come with 2 sides which is nice. My husband asked for the steak to be medium rare, but it came out pretty rare. I told him to say something, but he didn't. I'm sure they would've fixed it for us if we would've asked. With steak, he ordered the house salad and whipped potatoes. The dressing on the salad was delicious and it was pretty refreshing. He said overall the meal was alright, but doesn't think it's worth the money we paid. My french fried shrimp was cooked perfectly. Slightly crunchy and soft on the inside. It came with a sweet and sour chili dipping sauce. Drinks were good, but on the pricier side. They use higher quality liquor though.

Recently went here for my Birthday! Great place to have a get together. The food is amazing and drinks are refreshing. Service was perfect. Ambiance was like none other. Highly recommend!

If you know you know. Solid steakhouse that's been around for eons. We've been here several times and some nights are flawless with the taste and quality while other nights are slightly off. For example their house made onion rings were crispy, hot and airy but were flavorless. We had to throw some salt on them to make them taste better. The prime rib is great but it appears much smaller than in the past. The drinks were fine. The mac and cheese was outstanding along with their steak. I recommend dining inside as opposed to outside on their patio as the inside has a Very nice ambiance. Overall if you take a date here they'd be very impressed.

The Top is one of my absolute favorite steakhouses in all of Columbus. They have those classic steakhouse vibes with a dark lighting ambience; an amazing bar, and the service is spectacular! Everything is absolutely delicious here! The cuts of steak are fantastic, & they're cooked & seasoned perfectly You can't go wrong with any of their martinis and starting the meal with the shrimp cocktail is perfect to share with the whole table. Ending the meal with their chocolate cake tops off a wonderful experience! This is a must visit if you haven't yet been!

If i could give this place 10 stars I would!! From the amazing and personable service, to the pano bar atmosphere, to the mouth watering food! Every time I'm in Columbus I have to go there and it's always an well crafted experience. This place could take all my money any day! Simply delicious!

I've been coming to the top for about 5 years. We favor the bar (shout out to Amy) we come in about 3/4 times a year and Amy knows us enough to have a glass of wine and a beer ready. We alternate steak and app options but LOVE the ribeye. Wine is always top notch! Will be a loyal customer for many more years to come! Not one for taking food pics but did snap a pic of the bacon app!

The Top Steakhouse was absolutely amazing! The service was on point and the food was great. We absolutely loved Jerry at the piano bar. He played all of our song requests. We loved the drinks, the deviled eggs, the bread with butter, the Night Owl Special which we split, and the crème brûlée. Expect to pay for the premium service and food. I would absolutely love to come back! The best restaurant in Columbus!

My medium well steak burnt and charred. First time I got one burnt to a crisp. Tried to eat as much as I could but was disgusted.

Very disappointed. We had high hopes for our anniversary dinner, but this experience was a letdown from start to finish. Despite having a reservation, we were seated in a cramped corner right next to the bathrooms and kitchen, with our table pushed against a wall. The noise level was overwhelming--so loud I could hardly hear myself think and actually made my head spin. They seated far too many tables at once, and it took our server nearly 10 minutes just to greet us. Drink refills were rare, and service overall felt rushed and inattentive. My steak, which I ordered medium-well, came out burnt. My husband's steak and baked potato arrived without the butter and sour cream we had to chase down after finally flagging someone. Even the calamari appetizer was overcooked. They did offer dessert for our anniversary, but by that point we just wanted to leave. The atmosphere was anything but relaxing, the food was subpar, and the service missed the mark entirely. We won't be returning.

Such an awesome place for a special celebration/fancy night on the town. The ambiance is unique and transports you back in time with the dark features, leather seats, and pianist. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, house salad, and ribeye which were all great. It was my boyfriend's birthday so they brought out a complementary sundae, as well. The service was awesome. It was overall such a nice experience - I will definitely be back.

For the past couple years my wife & I have wanted to try a different restaurant for our anniversary. We'll get as far as sitting down to order but each time we'll decide to go back to The Top Steakhouse. The food is delicious but is only second to the service we receive. I can't say enough about our positive experience there. I'm sure we'll be there again next year.

Our amazing bartenders/servers...Sorry we didn't take food pics tonight, but it was all amazing as usual...

We started with the king crab brûlée, which was as good as it sounds -- rich, a little indulgent, and gone faster than we planned. The Wagyu flight was outstanding across the board, but the Japanese A5 was on another level entirely-- borderline unfair to the rest of the plate. Sides don't always get the spotlight, but the creamed spinach absolutely deserves it. If all vegetables tasted like that, I'd have made better life choices years ago. The potatoes Anna were also excellent --crispy, buttery, and exactly what you want them to be. Dessert sealed the deal. The honey butter cake was fantastic -- warm, rich, and worth saving room for (even if you think you don't have any left). My only "complaint," if you can call it that, is I was hoping to see a bananas foster on the menu -- but I'll survive. Overall, a great meal, great atmosphere, and a place we'll definitely be back to.

I always like to try an old fashioned whenever I'm at a new restaurant and Butcher & Rose did not disappoint. When trying to decide on entrees, our waitress described the lobster roll as fresh, buttery and delicious so that's what I went with. Unfortunately, it was just a basic bun with basic lobster and a side of melted butter. I had been so looking forward to trying it, however there was no finesse or excitement to the dish. After the disappointing lobster roll, I decided to go all in for dessert and order the creme brûlée. It more than made up for my disappointing entree. It was beautiful, creative and most importantly, DELICIOUS. It was a great lunch despite the disappointing lobster roll and I will definitely be back for dinner service.
