When driving by you might only see the Orherside but under is The Toasted Goat.

We almost drove by because we didn't see The Toasted Goat but I'm glad we spotted the destination below the sign for Otherside. I ordered the " Good Vibrations" which was scrumptious. The owner Matt was at the bar letting us sample the local brews. Matt was as friendly as they come& I wish we were traveling back through. If you're in Kearney, NE stop.

Glad we stopped in this place. Sandwiches were top notch and decent alcohol specials. Not from the area, so was happy with an $8 bloody only to find out it was $8 for a bloody and a tall boy. Went upstairs to the loft area and played a game of pool and some pinball as well. Lots of space to enjoy up there and an outside deck with a bit of shade and some fans. Would definitely come back!

We were driving from Chicago to Denver and got a little hungry. Decided to find someplace in Kearney as that was our last shot before the next stop in a few hours. We picked the Toasted Goat because they had 5 stars. Matt the owner served us and we loved this spot! Ryan ordered the Madhouse sandwich and said it was delicious. We had the roasted pepper and Gouda soup and it was really good! Place is super clean and has excellent Music! This was a convenient spot for us and we highly recommend choosing this place for a quick bite or some beverages!

It took an hour to get to sandwiches. I don't care how good the sandwiches are, no sandwich is worth waiting an hour for. By the time we got our sandwiches lunchtime was over. And the sandwiches were horrible. Cheap dry bread with no flavor. Two pieces of meat for a roast beef sandwich. The roast beef was not fresh or high-quality. Tons of shredded lettuce. No flavor to the sandwich at all. I could get a better sandwich premade at any grocery store for less money and much faster.

We enjoying excellent sandwich split, soup, chips. Quick service. All very good as we remember from previous stop here. Will absolutely return.

The food was sooo good! I would highly recommend. The oath was suggested as the number one but decided to switch it up. So good, melt in your mouth!

The sandwiches are enormous. On fresh baked bread, focaccia I think. We got The Pot and the Madhouse. We also got an order of the nachos and were not prepared for the size! Everything was delicious & we have lunch for tomorrow too. Prices are more than fair for the amount you get!

The Toasted Goat is actually located inside The Other Side bar. I ordered a sandwich called The Pot. It was delicious and the bread must have been fresh out of the oven since it was warm and soft. I will definitely be returning to try other sandwiches.

Size of sandwich not as pictured on FB, small with no chips or drink, yet charged $14. Not worth it.

Then to top it off I get to the hospital and my sandwich was completely wrong! They asked if I wanted it loaded I said no and started listing off what I wanted on it. Once I see what is on my sandwich it has 3 additional items 2 of which make me sick when I eat them. I called and they said they would refund me tomorrow morning. If they actually refund me I'll increase my review to 2 stars.

The attitude of the sandwich maker was unreal. She acted like it was my wife's fault for wanting it her way. We decided she was having a bad day and let it pass. Today I walked in and the place was empty. Went up to order a sandwich and was told it would be a long time before they could serve me because they were making a big order. I asked how long and they had no idea. I dont know how hard it is to fix a single sandwich in the middle of a large large order that no one was even waiting for. I may be wrong but you think they could fix a sandwich for a person that was actually there waiting for it. Very very disappointed in the service and staff attitude the last 2 visits. Probably will go elsewhere from now on. If you manage or own this you need to get a handle on the situation or your staff will ruin your business. I wish you luck.

The BBQ aroma meets you at the door as soon as you walk in. There's plenty of seating, and the restaurant is bright, and clean. I ordered the two-meat plate since I wasn't super hungry, and it was just enough to satisfy my taste for BBQ. The smoked sausage wasn't greasy and had a nice snap to it. The sliced brisket was moist with good smoky flavor, and not fatty at all. The Cole slaw was good, but I wouldn't mind a slightly larger portion. The toasted slice of Texas toast filled up the little last bit of space I had in my stomach. The meats were flavorful, and just what you'd want if you have a taste for BBQ. Service was quick, and friendly at the time of my visit which was on a Saturday afternoon. A good place for BBQ if you're not too picky, and hungry for some smoked meats.

Ordered the three meat plate with beans and fries and had to stop myself from finishing the entire plate.....they give you a lot of food. The brisket and turkey were equally tender and smoked to perfection. The beans were a highlight. You can tell they go all in on them. The ribs were great, too, and though it didn't need them, the sauces were all very flavor-forward and delicious. Great spot and I am looking forward to coming back again and again.

Visually, it's a great spot--beautiful inside and out, an amazing patio, lots of TVs, and an impressive bar with 48 beers on tap plus beer flights. Unfortunately, during our visit, both the food and service fell short. We started with the pork belly bites. They were okay, but the texture wasn't what we're used to--we typically prefer them cooked a bit more. We also ordered the crab cakes, which came as three large pieces on a bed of lettuce (basically a big house salad). After a few bites, we realized they were ice cold. We let the bartender know and they were sent back, but they came out ice cold again. To their credit, they removed the item from our bill, which we appreciated. We then ordered a burger. The patty was very thick and had potential, but the fries were ice cold. Service slowed at this point--it took a long time to get ketchup or any follow-up. We noticed staff eating in a booth behind us while two employees behind the bar appeared busy, which was disappointing. The beer selection is excellent, but my Dirty Shirley tasted off. I switched to a Tito's and Sprite, but it still didn't taste right--likely flat soda that hadn't been changed. Overall, the patio and beer selection are highlights, but the execution on food and service missed the mark on this visit. Based on this experience, I'd give it 2 stars. Glad I didn't order the steak, as I think I would have been disappointed. -- Foodie99
