Pulled pork, medium BBQ sauce, beans, hash brown casseroles
    Susan B.

Stopped in Kearney for the night and was looking for a local business to support. Came across this amazing place on Yelp and couldn't resist. If you are anywhere in the area of this restaurant, stop and get food. Even if you're not hungry, you will be eventually and you will thank yourself. My son had the hangover burger and fries and couldn't stop raving about it. I had the pulled pork with the medium BBQ sauce, hash brown casserole, and baked beans. We also got an order of the Dictater Tots. I cannot say enough good things about this food. This is my first experience stopping at a BBQ restaurant and I will not forget it. I would drive 9 hours to eat here again (we are passing through en route to RMNP). The staff is friendly, great layout for seating, and it's immaculate. Highly recommend!

Our very first time here for testing! I'm doing burnet ends and beans. B having a burger. My portion of burnt ends was small and just browned a little. Certainly not the burnt black, crusty ones which are quite wonderful. Baked beans real good and also real small portion. Burger was really good example we agreed. And fries were real good also. Everything, everywhere is high and climbs a bit every day. I thought $32 was a lot for what we had.

Service was very friendly and the restaurant was impeccably clean even with a large number of diners. And the food was great.

Unfortunately, that decision turned into a very negative experience. Our server was initially pleasant, but that quickly changed. After paying my tab using my phone, I placed it on the table while continuing to play billiards. When I returned, my phone was gone. Using Find My iPhone, I could see that the device was still located inside the restaurant. I asked the server if she had seen my phone, but she denied any knowledge of it and stated that no one had found a phone--despite the tracker clearly indicating it was there. The following day, I returned in hopes that someone had turned it in. When I approached the same server, she appeared extremely nervous, repeatedly using profanity and running into the kitchen before returning and attempting to change the subject. When I again asked about my phone, I received the same denial. I ultimately left feeling defeated. As a solo traveler, losing my phone caused significant stress--I was unable to access flight information, order transportation, or contact family. All of this occurred over a cracked iPhone that is unusable once reported lost or stolen. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and left a very poor impression.

Visually, it's a great spot--beautiful inside and out, an amazing patio, lots of TVs, and an impressive bar with 48 beers on tap plus beer flights. Unfortunately, during our visit, both the food and service fell short. We started with the pork belly bites. They were okay, but the texture wasn't what we're used to--we typically prefer them cooked a bit more. We also ordered the crab cakes, which came as three large pieces on a bed of lettuce (basically a big house salad). After a few bites, we realized they were ice cold. We let the bartender know and they were sent back, but they came out ice cold again. To their credit, they removed the item from our bill, which we appreciated. We then ordered a burger. The patty was very thick and had potential, but the fries were ice cold. Service slowed at this point--it took a long time to get ketchup or any follow-up. We noticed staff eating in a booth behind us while two employees behind the bar appeared busy, which was disappointing. The beer selection is excellent, but my Dirty Shirley tasted off. I switched to a Tito's and Sprite, but it still didn't taste right--likely flat soda that hadn't been changed. Overall, the patio and beer selection are highlights, but the execution on food and service missed the mark on this visit. Based on this experience, I'd give it 2 stars. Glad I didn't order the steak, as I think I would have been disappointed. -- Foodie99

We arrived just after the noon hour on a Tuesday, and ordered our meals (counter service) and was able to find an empty and clean booth near a window. My wife ordered a Bacon and cheese double steak burger with fries, and I got the same sandwich, only I got the onion rings (photo.) The food was hot, fresh, and VERY good. At 12:30 pm, after serving countless customers that day, we can report that the restrooms were tidy.
