This was an unexpected surprise in Kearney. The food was very good, service was great. Margaritas were great. Prices were reasonable. Super cute Mexican decor. Would definitely go again if in the area. read more

Nice people but the food and drink were disappointing. A 'burrito bowl' full of wilted salad and barely there shredded chicken, sour cream and no discernible cheese or guacamole, really not good and price of $17.95! The margarita was orange juice with slices of lime. Again, no discernible tequila and the advertised side of grand manier never came. Overall, very disappointing and would not recommend. read more

I've gotten take out from here several times and each time it has been hot and good. No matter how busy they are they always answer the phone and my meal is ready when they say it will be. The Carnitas is my go to. The pork is tender and seasoned perfectly and the beans taste great. I like that they always send fresh chips and plenty of fresh delicious salsa too. I do wish they would offer salt with the chips. The staff here are always friendly and smiling. Margaritas is super easy for a great meal after work. Whenever I'm in Kearney I will get the Carnitas from margaritas. read more

Food is solid, clean well decorated restaurant. I took food out so I can't comment on service.

I was sat quickly, asked for a house margarita and ordered food just as quick. Everything came out fairly quickly after that and it was sizzling! Good portions of all the proteins (steak, chicken and shrimp) everything was cooked perfect and seasoned well. I was provided with chips and salsa which were decent, but I was waiting on the main course and it did not disappoint. Also, you could actually taste the tequila in the margarita! Everyone was friendly, service was quick and it was clean. read more

Margaritas Kearney - Mix of 3 fajitas - Mexican Near Me - Kearney, Nebraska

Very overpriced for what you get. I got the green chili enchilada plate, there was a basic red sauce on two very small enchiladas- no green chilis whatsoever. Wife got a margarita- not good, they seemed to have forgotten the tequila. Kids got taco plates- not good, very greasy. 4-people, 1 bar drink=$103!! Spent a week in the area and this was our worst and highest priced meal. Would not recommend. read more

The food is good and plenty of it, service was good and attentive. If you like the colorful mexican restaurant motif this is your place. Only criticsm is the prices seem out of line with other mexican restaurants in the area, two entre's, two beers 60.00. ordered queso with our chips, 9.00. Prices may reflect that it is close to I 80. Four Stars due to price. read more

Our 2nd day in Kearney led us to try and find a place to eat for lunch. The night before, the parking lot of Margaritas was PACKED, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is very nice, huge bar, lots of festive colors, and seemed pretty clean. The staff was friendly and sat us immediately and our waiter took our drink order. I ordered the taco salad and my wife ordered the pork carnitas. Having the best taco salad I had ever had the night before at a neighboring Mexican restaurant, the bar was set quite high. This taco salad was good but not great. It seemed kind of sloppily put together and I wish the meat was charred - like fajita meat. The taco shell was fragile and just ok flavor wise. My wife's pork carnitas was incredible! The pork carnitas came on a plate with 3 corn tortilla tacos with carnitas inside. The meat was tender and had great flavor. The plate had beans and rice and pico. The shells and meat were amazing! I also had a blue margarita with Herradura Tequila which was refreshing and had great flavor! read more

Margaritas Kearney was relatively good. The drinks were good, chips and salsa were good too.The services was overall good and my waiter was very attentive. Traveling from Colorado to Wisconsin brought us to Kearney and at supper time, so we searched out a food establishment close to our hotel. This was it. Mexican is usually a good standby food source, so we found this had a good Yelp rating, so we stopped here. It was 4:30, and there were a few cars in the lot, so it was a good time to dine. The front of house clerk set us up at a window booth and Maribel approached us for drink orders and any explanation of menu items. When she brought out the drinks, and a kitchen helper brought out chips and tasty salsa with an after burner kick, we placed our order for a trio enchilada dinner with three sauces, rice beans and some lettuce salad. We told her we would share the meal and when she brought it out of the kitchen she provided two extra plates to split the big entree. Chicken, beef and cheese were inside the tortillas and then covered with a green chile, red tomato and cheese sauce, each being distinctive tastes. read more

We picked up Margaritas to go on our way to our hotel. We were in town for business and this was close by. I love Mexican food but can be fairly picky. I don't like burritos or anything fried really. I don't like a meal mostly made of tortillas and carbs. I usually choose a chicken dish with beans, rice, and cheese. Almost always. I selected the Pollo Fundido (chicken breast grilled with garlic, fresh mushrooms, spinach, peppers, topped with jack cheese) and it did not disappoint. In fact, it was super delicious and the veggies fresh with a little snap to them. Even the mushrooms were thick sliced and fresh. I was worried about spinach overpowering the flavors, but honestly, THIS WAS SO GOOD. My friend got something with mole, which was also very tasty. The to-go order came with chips and salsa as well. I will return to Margaritas for fantastic Mexican food. The only negative is that it's a bit pricey but you can taste the difference in quality so totally worth it. read more

This is an easy and affordable spot to eat if you are passing through the Kearney area! It was one of the only restaurants open past 8pm on a Monday and so for that, I was grateful! My colleague and I rushed in here around 8:20pm worried that we would quickly have to eat, but the host and servers were SO kind! They told us not to rush and to just come in and enjoy. The food itself was also very good. I ordered the fajita salad, which was basically just fajita toppings + lettuce in a fried taco shell. It was very tasty but the chicken was a bit chewy. I would try the beef or shrimp option next time. My colleague ordered the shrimp and chicken fajita plate and loved it! This came with fresh tortillas, a large side of rice, beans and guacamole. She said this place definitely hit the spot! read more

We went on a Friday night so it was very busy! The service was good considering! Food was really good! Would visit again!

Fajita Burrito is all I need to say. It was delicious and saved money over true fajitas. Chill atmosphere and friendly staff.

COVID Info - masks are not required, while majority of the servers were wearing masks, there were few that did not. Stopped by for dinner while on a road trip. The parking lot was jammed packed!!! This place was busy, which was a good sign because it meant that the local folks loved their food. I walked in, asked for a seat at the bar, got water and reviewed the menu. Their menu had a lot of food and after debating for while, I went with the Trio Enchilada. They serve chips and salsa as a starter. I was disappointed with their salsa. It looked like chunks of veggies in a tomato juice. It also lacked flavors. Warning - the plate is hot! Unfortunately, the server never mentioned this and I found this out the hard way. Spanish rice is my favorite and that was the first thing I tried... unfortunately it was on the dry side. The beans were very bland and the only tasting item on this dish was the creamy sauce. Overall, the food was decent. Maybe it was what I ordered, maybe I should have gotten something else. Service was decent as well. read more

I knew it would be a great place as soon as I saw the salsa. It was not the usual red sauce to dip your chip in, but a salsa peppers onions , cilantro and seasoning to flavor the chips and enhance the food you might want to add it too. Friendly staff was efficient. The place spared no expense on the decor from the floor to ceiling. It felt like being in a very upscale restaurant in Mexico. read more

Service was great. Food was ok. I had the fajita salad and the steak was covered in some sauce that I wouldn't consider fajita sauce. Refried beans were ok, but I had to add salt. Overall the food was a bit bland for my taste buds. Adding a raw jalapeño helped to spice things up a bit. read more

Tacos for everybody! This was a great find along the interstate and beats the heck out of the grab and go options at the same exit! We had a quick lunch of tacos and jarritos and we absolutely destroyed the complimentary chips and salsa. I preferred the chicken over ground beef taco personally. Our vegetarians had the vegetarian burrito lunch option and both of them said it was great. Plates are accompanied with rice and beans and the rice was very tasty. Our server was very friendly. Lots of margarita options and a large menu - I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again! It's colorful with fun lighting fixtures. Bathrooms needed a little attention but was the busy lunch hour on a Saturday of what I'm sure is a large spring break travel crowd. read more

We have learned our lesson. Being from Santa Fe, NM and having the best Mexican food and out of this world margaritas we will never eat at another Mexican restaurant while traveling. The food was so-so but the Margarita was HORRIBLE. They definitely need to change the name of the restaurant. Taco Bell would be an improvement if you want Mexican food. read more

No complain! Food, service, and place met or exceeded our expectations for lunch! Glad we went here.

The food was delicious, served quickly and hot from the kitchen. The service was excellent.

Staying the night in Kearney near this restaurant. It had good reviews so we walked over. We were greeted and seated right away. Our waiter, Gerardo, was immediately at our table for our drinks. I tried the special Mango margarita hubby had wine. Chips and salsa came right away. The salsa was a little spicy for us so i asked for mild which they had and it was good. I had the shrimp fajitas which were very tasty. There were 10 shrimp and lots of cooked onions and peppers. Came with a side of refried beans, rice, sour cream, guacamole, pico, and cheese. Hubby had a steak quesadilla and it was big enough to have leftovers for breakfast. Very clean place. The decor was very cute. Service was fabulous. read more
