The food...Expecting good at a local not a chain place, in a small town with a relaxed college student vibe. We got...great. The first bite of that pepperoni pizza roll with the obviously fresh yeast bread dough roll, the meat sauce, the garlic cream sauce...then the fresh beer-battered fish and really good crispy french fries, and a home made cole slaw that's just about as good as my husband's late Southern grandma's cole slaw (which is really high praise.) The Lucky Seven pizza was also delicious with a perfect crust and big chopped veggies like mushrooms and peppers. Service was friendly and attentive; the decor is clean and on the more minimalist side while also comfortable and welcoming. Agree with all the other reviewers, this is absolutely an amazing experience--this meal will be one of the great memories of our road trip from Sugar Land, Texas (greater Houston area) to South Dakota and Mount Rushmore. read more

Aww, we had an amazing time at this sports bar. We were greeted right away, I think by the owner, and seated so we could watch our favorite football team the Chicago Bears. We had a good conversation and then ordered our food. My hubby and I started with the boneless chicken wings with the habanero honey sauce on the side and that was really, really delicious. I tried one of their local beers and that was really nice since I am not a beer drinker, but it was very crisp and nicely cold. We also ordered the Lucky pizza which was so dam delicious. Our waitress Dana was the best, thank you for you for your kindness and pleasant personality. If we are in the area again we will make this one of our stops. read more

We had a fantastic experience at Nebraska Ale Works! The Barq's Root Beer was ice cold, crisp, and absolutely perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the restrooms were spotless, always a great sign. The food was clearly made with fresh ingredients. The side salad was humongous and beautifully fresh. The cup of chili was outstanding, packed with beef and beans in a hearty Rocky Mountain style with just the right amount of heat. The pizza was delicious, and the steak had gorgeous grill marks, juicy and tender just the way it should be. Pro tip: order the chili and beef pizza together! The pizza has a perfectly bread-y crust that dips beautifully into the chili, a combination you don't want to miss read more

I'm only giving this 2 stars because the food was good and the beer selection was good, but the service at the bar was absolutely the worst I've experienced. My initial bartender was very helpful and attentive. He put in my initial drink order and my food order, but I sat at the bar with an empty glass for more than 30 minutes before anyone came back to the bar to check in. I will not be returning. read more

Stopped by Nebraska Ale Works with a couple of friends for a quick visit and really enjoyed it. Their beer menu was diverse with plenty of options to choose from. The server was friendly and even recommended a few selections. Great atmosphere and fun place to hang out. I recommend this spot if you're in the area. read more

Seating was a little slow as there was only one server on a Monday afternoon. Decor was pleasant- typical sports / pub - ale house atmosphere. Food was excellent- side salad was fresh, meat lover pizza was solid as was the club sandwich. Pizza rolls were another great choice. read more

This is one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. We ordered takeout because we are traveling with our dog. As we sat eating our burgers and amazing fries in the parking lot, I made a note to leave a yelp review because these burgers are fabulous. The meat is tasty and perfectly cooked. The bacon and sauces are perfect and the bun I must be fried in butter? 5 stars! read more

Walked in and sat at bar. Told bartender I wanted a water with lemon. She didn't even acknowledge my husband. Brought water and no lemon. Husband said I'll take a coke. I asked again for lemon. She walks away and starts talking to guys at end of bar. After 5 minutes she walks by again and I ask for lemon and a coke for husband. She says sure. Walks away talks to guys again then goes back to kitchen. Comes back and goes to table. Now there for 10 minutes. We left. Unacceptable service!! read more

Tasty bleu cheese and chicken cobb salad with plentiful bacon. Good portion for sharing. The three fish taco entree was superb with crunchy fish and flavorful purple cabbage slaw. Great beer selection, lively brewpub atmosphere. read more

Driving thru Nebraska, and stopped in here for dinner on a Tuesday. They were not very busy, lucky for us. The beer selection was good and cold. We tried a couple and really liked them. We shared a pizza and it was excellent. Bigger than expected, but it was good as a lunch left-over the next day. If we are in Kearney again, we would eat here. read more

Great food and atmosphere! Tried the spinach artichoke dip and was the best I've ever had! Also got the hot honey pepperoni pizza and was delish! Our server was great and the GM came to check and see how everything was and he was great! Definitely will be back! read more

My husband and I stopped for lunch after visiting the Arch. We had the cheeseburger and fries. My husband said it was the best burger he's had in his life! And he's lived a long life and had a lot of burgers! Dana , our waitress was very friendly and offered us our drinks to go as we have a long drive ahead to Ft. Collins! We will definitely stop again on our next trip through Kearney. NH read more

Kami was an excellent server. Very attentive and made sure we had a very enjoyable experience. The food was great as well!

We really wanted to like this place. Reviews were good. The locals recommended it, but we were sorely disappointed. The greeter was diffident and expressionless. Our waiter was worse. We asked for a sample of two of their beers. Both were terribly bitter. (My husband owns a brew pub.) We decided to opt for wine--but they wanted $12 for a six-ounce pour of house wine. So--no wine. I finally ordered a seltzer--which was unceremoniously slammed onto the table in a can. We asked for a glass, which the waiter did retrieve for me-- but he was still seriously phlegmatic. My husband ordered the Ranch Water which was basically sugar. We ordered a pizza--which was pretty tasty, actually--but the terrible and borderline rude behavior of the staff made us feel like we wanted to leave as soon as possible. Which is exactly what we did. We won't return. read more

We enjoyed the food very much: we had pizza, brisket burger, salad, and spaghetti and macaroni cheese from the kid's menu. All were very good. We also sampled the beer and a mojito. All were great. Service was very good in spite being short staffed. The ambiance was sports bar-like but quiet enough for our family to enjoy conversation. read more

Great new addition to the Kearney restaurant scene, right off I-80 and smack dab in the middle of the hotel hub. The lineup of Nebraska brews is reason enough to stop. The menu is anything but limited, so it was hard to make a selection. Went with the Bison Meatloaf, and was not disappointed. Fries were crispy, and the bbq beans were solid. Want to try the duck gumbo next time. Service was great, and the place was clean and modern. The pasta looked great, as did most everything else. Cool place with great beers and grub. read more

We have went there for pizza 5+ times when in town, I can honestly say it's one of my favorite pizza spots. Even after eating at many throughout Lincoln/Omaha! Never seems to be real busy during lunch, which is very surprising. read more

I was Ailin' for days after eating at this grease buffet. Bad food and a crowd that all needed showers.

Poor service, poor attitude. Being ignored when tables seated after us were served, wasn't much fun. Having to remind our server that we were still waiting for our drinks (iced tea) was frustrating. Being brought tepid iced tea, and then offered excuses was annoying. The follow-up with ice in styrofoam cups was the last straw...if we had been offered straws...we weren't. At that point, we cut our losses and left. read more

This was very near my motel. Ordered takeaway. I wasn't expecting much, but I did expect that an order of buffalo wings would be wings. Not sure what these chicken balls are. Maybe boneless wings, but if someone says wings, I'd think you'd either get wings, or the person taking the order would clarify. Disappointed. read more

Says it's pet friendly, but it's not. Only service dogs. Service is a little slow, but it's not like the staff is standing around, so guessing short staffed. But we're here late, like 8 pm so should be passed the dinner ru read more

It's ok, but they certainly aren't prepared to handle more than a few tables at a time. What I see is a crew trying and working hard and a management team that is failing them. I hope they are making a ton of money on their party room I see it as a major disruption pulling an already busy staff away. Now a review of the tap. After all it is called Nebraska Ale Works. So at least two taps are foam city, pour, wait, then pour valuable money down the drain. Then, fill glass some more, wait and drain off the foam. How about the hours who in the world that has a bar and restaurant in that area closes at 10 pm. There's a ton hotels, and conferences right there and they be turning business away. Despite the variety of food and the quality the slow service makes this a poor choice if you want an overall good experience. read more

We have eaten here twice during travel. It is near the motel we stayed in. Both times the wait staff has been very unfriendly and the food average. The second time we only ordered pizza to take back to the room and it was terrible pizza and what little we interacted with the people there they were unpleasant. read more

I wasn't expecting too much, pleasantly surprised. Decor was warm and inviting, the crane mural was quite attractive. Service was above and beyond, waitress had to wait while we perused the extensive beer list! Beer was great and pizza was good as well. Crust was great. Awesome food and environment. Service is very professional and timely. Food is always fresh and cooked exactly as ordered.

Service was good. The waitress was super helpful and patient when I was trying to make my beer selection. The food was mediocre. The chicken Alfredo was fine (I asked for no parsley due to allergy and kitchen still put it on- luckily it wasn't a lot so I was able to pick it off) but the kids pizza had a weird taste. I've had better food at chain diners. read more

We got stuck in Nebraska over the 4th weekend and found this place near our hotel. We hadn't been eating the best and were hoping for something lighter. The outside looked inviting so we decided to give it a shot. It was a weekend but they sat us after about 5 to 10 minutes. The inside was very nice and had a good bar/dining mix. NAW had plenty of options on the menu and tasty looking salads. We got an IPA and a jalapeño cream ale which were both very good. The salads were both top tier which was exactly what we were hoping for. Service was super fast and friendly. The restaurant helped give the horrible day we had a little silver lining. Cool place to go if you're ever driving down 80 past Kearney. read more

Great service, and food came out fast and tasty. Large and clean restaurant perfect for big groups. Check it out!

Wow, not sure how a restaurant could mess up a basic order so badly. 3 pizzas, 2 orders wings. Every item had mistakes. Meat lovers pizza came with only 2 of the meats. Pepperoni and Cream cheese didn't have the cream cheese. Lucky 7 (Supreme) with no green peppers and added cream cheese came with no cream cheese and extra green peppers. Wings were ordered fried hard but came extra soggy/squishy. I'd say they were messing with us, but it was an online order and we' are from out of town, so it woulda been completely random. Only other option would be they're just not very good at what they do. As to the actual pizza, was Dominoes level quality at twice the price. read more

I can NOT believe the service I received from the manager or said to be the manager. I didn't like the way my burger was cooked and he picked up my knife and cut it and said looks medium to me and walked away. Absolutely pathetic and unacceptable! Must stop if in the area! After reading the reviews on our road trip, we decided to stop for dinner. So happy we did! Delicious eats! We got the Fried Cheese to start which you could tell was made in house--nummy. Then for entrees we got spaghetti and meatballs, the appetizer meatballs, calzone, chix bacon ranch pizza, Apple/Walnut/Blue Cheese salad and gumbo. Everything was so good and perfectly made!
