It was a large space, and despite its positive first impression, we were a little concerned because there were no customers. Perhaps 5:30 on a weekday was too early for the area. It was obvious our server was new because she wasn't too sure about the menu, but she got the answers we needed. The "special" lasagna my wife ordered ended up being unavailable, so she went with the regular lasagna. The presentation and taste of our pasta entrees was very good. I went with the regular-size beef stroganoff instead of the large portion and glad I did because the sauce was heavy and contained a lot of beef. We also ordered their special bread (assorted 4-count) and it came out soft and warm with a delicious spread on the side. I'd definitely recommend checking out Joy's Table if in the area. By the way, two more tables came in by the time we left. I guess it's a late dinner crowd.

We had been regulars. tonight their monthly special was Rocky Mountain Oysters. The guys like em the women won't try them, anyway we make the trip. I ask the waitress about the special: she says the RMO dinner is $30.00 and there is an all you can eat for x$, i didnt hear that price cuz i was shocked at the 30.00 price and she tells it comes with fried cabbage ( like this is the way you RMO's). We all declined since a flat iron steak was 21.00. We all ordered cheeseburger. Menu said cheeseburger $9.00, Fries and apprently every topping had a cost, cause the two burger with fries was $32.00, we had water and a diet pepsi. Burgers meat had a weird (maybe getting old ) taste, so we all ate some of the burgers, left the rest. The ambiance was ok until some customer came in and they cranked up the volume on the tv so he could watch volleyball from the bar. We were totally disappointed and it is off the to do list.

This is really good pizza. Nice crust and generous toppings. I like this. Oh, we were offered pizza-by-slice which were already available vs 20 minute wait for whole pizza. We accepted. I have not had but a very few breakfast pizzas and none close to this level of good. I did ask if was frozen or fresh made dough. Is frozen and quite good. And uncertain if I can tell any difference. An uneven outer crust can sometimes tell, but not always.

They've been in a few different locations, and still turn out a great product. This isn't a fancy kind of gyro place...and to be honest, nostalgia probably influences my rating and review, but I've always loved Nick's and have never found another gyro place that can even come close. It's closer to a Greek taco than a "traditional" gyro (no tzatziki sauce here - just sour cream, onion, lettuce and cheese) There's just something about those danged pitas! After the original Greek brothers sold their stake, the place did suffer some, but came roaring back to life, delivering that signature gyro as good as ever. I really miss the location in downtown "on the bricks," but I'm happy to still be able to get my fix when we drive across Nebraska! Plus, I hear that they are working out a way to ship to us out-of-towners! if that happens, my diet is definitely going to suffer. Get the gyro, and a side of corn nuggets. Long live Nick's Gyros!

When my husband respectfully asked him to tone it down, the owner actually walked around the bar (where we were seated) to confront him and insulted him, calling him self‑righteous and that he wasn't apologizing for his language. As customer's were leaving they stopped to tell my husband that he was right in asking this man to be aware of where and what words he was using while women and children were dining. What owner/manager thinks this is beneficial for his business?? If he treats the customers as such how on earth does he treat the employees?? I am so sorry for the young ladies that have to work for this man. I've never seen a business owner behave with such arrogance and disrespect toward paying customers. This is not a family‑friendly environment, and we won't be back. Whatever happened to the statement that "the customer is always right even if they aren't"? ---

Been there, done that, don't need to come back!…read more Tried the 3 meat plate w/ brisket, chicken, and ribs, and mac & cheese and okra for the sides. First, upon ordering the prices they charged me were higher than what was listed on the menu. When I asked about that, she just said the electronic menu needed to be updated. Apparently they don't care that that is illegal. The meat is all pre-cooked so they wrap it in plastic wrap and keep it in a warmer, so it was barely warm and there were bits of plastic in it. They were out of okra and had to make more. When they brought it out, it was in a paper bag. I dumped it onto the tray and it was waffle fries! I had to go back to the counter and get them to correct it. The girl in the back prep area was busy scrolling on her phone so the counter girl had to do everything. The chicken was so dry and hard that I could not stab it with the plastic fork. The brisket was chopped into tiny bits and was dry. It reminded me of kibble. The ribs were overcooked and dry as a bone. The sad little roll was ok, but there was no butter to be found. The mac and cheese was decent. Pretty good flavor and consistency. The okra was mediokra. Definitely frozen, and not homemade. The free ice cream wa so soft it ran off the cone so I filled my water cup with it and ate it with a spoon. That turned out to be the best part of the whole meal. I had been wanting to try this place for over a year. Overall, it was a huge, expensive disappointment.
