So good! Had a smoked chicken quesadilla. Best in Kearney, hands down. Perfect amount of filling and the flavors were so distinct. My friends had cocktails and they loved them and the price was great. I'll be going back!

Well, we did get back here today Friday, for further tests!! Burgers on fridays. And ours were excellent, just right rare. We're going back for more. Thanks again.

Stopped here while on road trip to see the sandhill cranes. Came here because of yelp reviews. Spot on. Great drink specials, large variety of beers, friendly bartender. Small bar, but big enough for our needs. Extra touches like chilled glasses for each beer. We'll stop again next time in Kearney.

Great food and staff. Had a pulled pork burrito with a craft beer. Bartender helped me choose a brew I thought I would like.

Live music, giant frosted mugs, and a great selection of craft beers on tap. Definitely a dive bar you want to check out in Kearney.

Plus it is a historic site in Hastings. It would be so nice if you removed the picture of the lady with her middle finger up. Not a very nice picture at all.

It has booths lining the walls that have been lovingly repaired many times over the years using the tried and true duct tape method. It has a pool table, fun and friendly locals (mixed in with the occasional bar fight) , a Touch Tunes juke box, beer signs that have been there for who knows how long, Sunshine Wheat Beer in a frosty mug for $1.50, and a wonderful owner named Virginia. This was my college gang's bar, and it could just be nostalgia talking but I love this place. Virginia, the owner, is a hardworking, sweet yet tough woman. She watched over us like a protective Grandmother, and even checked to see if we had finished our homework for the day before she brought us a pitcher of Sunshine. If you like dives and find yourself in Hastings, NE-go to The Olive, and say hi to Virginia for the gang and I. Things to know: Bring cash! No card machine here! There's a small parking lot and also plenty of meter free spots on the street. This place is pretty much a beer and simple mixed drink place. Don't expect to get any martinis, wine or fancy cocktails. Rum and Coke? Definitely. Cosmopolitan? Definitely not. The crowd in here can get a bit drunk and rowdy, but for the most part they are very nice and friendly. If you're looking for a quiet night out, I wouldn't suggest this place.

There were 10 of us (6 came before the group I was in) and there was plenty of seats. There were only a couple inside but the weather was nice which was why a lot more were outside. Parking was limited so street parking so I guess it could be a hit or miss. The group of 4 I sat with decided we wanted two Long Board-sized pizzas which were the large size. On one pizza, we ordered half of the Bonzai Pipeline (Boogie Board size was $7.19 and Long Board size was $17.99) and half of the Lover's Point (Boogie Board size was $8.19 and Long Board size was $21.99). The other pizza was the Manly Beach (Boogie Board size was $8.19 and Long Board size was $21.99). We also ordered a couple pitchers of beer. The pizza took a very long time to come out and it really could be that the pizza just took that long to cook. We talked among ourselves for awhile before our pizza finally came out. The Long Board-sized pizzas were pretty large and there were about 8 big slices. The Bonzai Pipeline was delicious as well as the Lover's Point. I would recommend either one of those if you liked Hawaiian pizzas or a lot of meat on your pizza. The Manly Beach was good but would be better without the jalapenos. That was just what I thought but I'm sure others liked the jalapenos. I almost ate five slices total from both pizzas before I stopped trying. It was a lot of pizza to eat but good pizza in my opinion. Good place to hang out, grab a drink, and eat pizza. Come check it out!
