I had seen some positive reviews on the Toad House and wanted to stop in. My mom remembers eating 'grinder' sandwiches when she and dad first married and attending North Dakota Stare University. We got a sandwich and ordered a pepperoni pizza also. The sandwich was made on their own focaccia bread, plenty of meat, veggies, and sauce. Very good. Such great food! We ordered starter salads which nearly filled us up. The homemade blue cheese dressing was incredible! We also ordered the bruschetta. I normally don't like tomato but this was incredible and tasted great. For pizzas we got the BOBadacious and the Tazzio (pictured). Very good topping levels and amazing flavor. They are supposedly known for their wings, but they were sold out tonight. Maybe next time. We did try a cannoli. Holy crap! One of the best I've ever had! My wife and I came here with another couple for dinner early on a Friday night...around 5:30. There was no wait and service was great thanks to Sam. She was most attentive and had a great sense of humor. We ordered starter salads and small pizzas. My wife had the Caesar salad and I had the house salad...both $8.00. Our 10 inch pizza was the BOBdacious ($18.00): pesto, mozzarella, gorgonzola, shredded chicken, spicy Italian sausage, and fresh basil. The pizza wasn't bad...lots of flavor, but I thought the crust was a little tough and my wife wasn't fond of the sausage used. All pizzas are fire baked, though not wood-fired. The highlight of the meal for me was the salad. The greens were sort of chopped and easier to eat than the oversized leaves of lettuce that seem popular now. Plus there was tons of shredded mozzarella and sliced black olives on the top. The Italian dressing I ordered was very flavorful too. Our friends loved their red sauced pizza; can't recall which one they ordered. I'd likely return for another salad and maybe a sandwich or a couple of appetizers. Excellent! Lives up to the rating. Tried the bruschetta (excellent) for a starter, then split a BLT Wedge and a Toadal Protein (adding cheddar); both were very good. The sauce is top notch, might've had a bit more on the pizza. Still, great service, really good food, and great ambiance. Hallelujah I have finally found good pizza around Bremerton! I have been really looking forward to The Toad House reopening following their kitchen remodel after having struck out finding any kind of edible pies in what seemed like a pizza desert of Kitsap County. Low and behold I saw the neon "open" sign shining like a star above on a run to pick up takeout from the sushi restaurant next door, and I vowed to come back. Lord the pizza took all my fears away! It took everything in my being to not eat the entire 10"because it was so so good. Soft, doughy crust, full flavored toppings, nice reheat texture. Take out only as of 7/18 but opening for dine next weekend I was told. Called in a carry out order for two 15 inch pizzas last week. Estimated pickup time was nearly 45 minutes which seemed a bit excessive being that it was only 5pm on a Thursday. It was my first time in when I ran in to pick up so I took a quick survey of the interior. It's a dark atmosphere which makes sense given the beer selection and I could see this place having a semi bar vibe for hang outs or date night. We tried the Todal Protein and the Margherita, decent crust with just the right hint of brick oven char. Between the two hubs and I both preferred the Margherita. The pizzas here are spendy, $53 for the two we tried so probably not best suited for a quick, casual, carry out night but I could totally see us coming back to split a pie with friends for a night out. read more

The beer selection is the allure for me. They offer A nice large variety of different styles. The pizza is pretty good as well. My boyfriend ordered the Todal Protein and I created my own. The Todal Protein was really good but I didn't enjoyed mine as much because they loaded it up with way too many large WHOLE garlic cloves. Never experienced this before with pizza toppings. The service was prompt which is always a plus. I think it's kinda small inside so I'm sure it can get somewhat crowded and backed up on the weekends. While looking for local pizza places this one came up and the pictures looked amazing. I love a good fired pizza! I really wanted to try the salty port orchard as everyone seems to mention it in their reviews. I ordered 3 pizzas and garlic cheese bread. It said 50 minutes and it should be ready. I thought okay, must be busy! I get there 1 hour later and the waitress has no idea what my order is or where it is. She goes over and talks to the guy cooking the pizzas. They both look at a computer screen. She comes back and says Okay it'll be ready in about 5 minutes. Mind you, there's about 3 tables occupied. Not that busy. I waited, I waited, and I waited some more. They did not even start my pizzas until I showed up. If I knew this was the case I would have just went there and ordered in person and got it 1.5 hours prior. Onto the pizza itself... I requested no blue cheese twice on the online order. Once in the topping options and again in the notes. There was blue cheese on my pizza. The pizza was not good and kind of bland, I think it was the sauce. The garlic cheese bread was soggy and drowned in garlic paste/ butter on a hoagie roll cut up. I would never eat here again and the one star goes to the waitress, because she was friendly to me, but the food is ABSOLUTELY NOT worth the price you pay. read more
