    Blueberry French Toast Custard

Pizza at the park on a nice day is top tier living. I loved the style of this restaurant. We came on a Sunday and there was a brunch option which is unusual for a pizza place. The blueberry compote on the French toast was delicious. The pizza was maybe too fancy for me...not enough cheese and sauce. The bell peppers overwhelmed the flavor of my sausage pizza. The flavor of the lamb pizza was good but the lamb flavor didn't come through as much. The pepperoni was probably my favorite flavor wise. There was only one waitress in the restaurant so service was decent. She was very nice and helpful but she did seem to be running around everywhere trying to get to everyone so I don't fault her for the service being a little slow.

Review of Evergreen Pizza Co - Bremerton, WA My boyfriend and I recently checked out Evergreen Pizza Co in Bremerton, WA and had an overall great experience. We started with salads, I had the snap pea, and he went with the mixed greens. Both were crisp and refreshing. Mine was served over burrata and could easily be shared as an appetizer. With the help of our friendly and informative server, we picked the spicy lamb pizza to share. I am usually a pretty adventurous eater, especially when it comes to pizza, but I am not usually much of a fan of lamb. I am so glad I gave it a chance because this pizza was fantastic. The warmth of the spices mixed with the zing of the pomegranate molasses made for a bold, flavorful bite, and the fresh mint added a cool, refreshing finish. It was a really satisfying combination. The one thing we both agreed on was that we wished the crust had been a bit crispier underneath, while the outer edge had a nice crunch, the bottom stayed pretty soft. I could not help but wonder if partially firing the crust before adding the toppings, or using a pizza screen instead of the raised bump pan for serving, would make a difference, but I am no expert. We finished by splitting the ricotta cheesecake. The raspberry topping was just the right balance of tart and sweet, and the overall flavor was really nice. That said, serving it in a squat, wide-mouth mason jar was a little tricky, the shape made it hard to scoop out the "shoulders" of the jar, and the graham cracker crust did not really form a proper crust. It ended up feeling more like a cheesecake parfait or pudding than a classic slice of cheesecake. It definitely would not scratch a true cheesecake itch, so while it was a tasty dessert, I would not order it again. We are currently doing the long-distance thing on opposite coasts, so while this was both of our first times here, I can see this becoming a regular lunch date local during future visits, if not just a regular regular spot for him.

    A very delicious pizza!

Dinner with friends! We each ordered a pizza, 4 different pizzas so that we could share and try! Love the thin pizza crust. One pizza could easy feed 3 people. Each pizza ordered was tasty. I ordered the wedge salad as my starter. Drink menu is varied, ordered a Finn River cider. The waitress was friendly and patient. The ambiance is modern and cozy. Booth style seating inside along a wall and then another area is table and chairs. Great pizza! This is not far from where I live, totally forgot about it, definitely will become my go to.

The restaurant is really inviting and relaxed, staff is friendly, and you can see the pizza oven at the entrance. We ordered 2 salads, a ceasar and wedge, both were the highlight of all the food we ordered imo. They make their own dressing from scratch, and you can taste it. Also ordered side meatballs and burrata, the meatballs were pretty dense and the sauce was spicier then were used to for meatballs but that was ok but then crostini that came with the burrata was super burnt. We ordered 2 pizzas, a mushroom pizza and margherita, both were burnt. The toppings on both pizza were very delicious especially the onions on the mushroom but the burnt crusts was not good and kinda ruined the pizzas for me. TL;DR good salads, burnt pizzas

    SPICY SQUILLY pizza- very spicy!

Great little find in Bremerton. Came at 12:30pm on a Saturday and all the tables were full. Legit pizza oven that looks like it's from Italy. We ordered the spicy squirrel pizza, a Caesar salad with anchovies and hibiscus iced tea. The pizza reminded me of pizza in Italy. Super thin crust with high quality ingredients. The sauce and cheese was delicious and the Calabrian chilis were SPICY, so beware. The Caesar was one of the best I've ever had. We got a side of anchovies which weren't the typical brown canned variety- they were the fresh white ones. The iced tea was fresh made with dried hibiscus. Our waitress asked if we wanted a little sweetener with it because it was pretty tart. It was a perfect blend of tart and sweet. We saw someone eating ice cream next to us and the waitress told us that the gelato shop downstairs was closed but she could bring us a scoop if we wanted. We ordered a scoop of pistachio and nutty squirrel. Holy cow, best gelato ever. They were creamy and the flavors were delicate and rich. I'm going to be dreaming of it for days to come. This place is definitely worth stopping by if you're in Bremerton!

There used to be meatballs in this dish. We powered through them. Saving the sauce for pizza crust dipping.

I've been hearing the buzz about Evergreen Pizza (and Sapling Gelato) for a while now, so we finally decided to take the cross county drive to give it a shot. Not a bad choice on our part! We got there with ten minutes to spare for the Happy Hour menu, so that's a win! Ordered the meatballs and a Margherita pizza with a couple of the spooky special cocktails from the October menu. It's a good thing it's Halloween season because the meatballs were to die for! Pro Tip: use the leftover sauce from the meatballs to dip your pizza crusts. Delicious! Perfectly seasoned with just a tiny little kick of crushed red pepper, this sauce is the perfect foil for the crispy AND chewy wood fired crust. Super friendly and attentive service. Quaint neighborhood location and a rad little fire pit in front to enjoy a post-pizza scoop of gelato if you're not ready for your visit to Evergreen Pizza to end.

It was a great surprise to see a new indie cafe right by the bridge roundabout (12/12/25). Tiny parking lot and adjacent street parking were all full, thankfully I found a spot around the corner instead. This has outdoor seating with a great waterfront view of Sinclair Inlet, as well as, indoor seating with decent natural light. There's wrap around window seating, plus cozy couch and banquette area. The decor is pleasant with merch interspersed with art work/prints, healthy foliage, and festive touches for the holidays. Welcoming owner, I believe, at the main counter who took my beverage order. Pastries are from Macrina and coffee beans from Olympia Coffee. Aside from the usual coffee/tea bevs, there's also other food items like overnight oatmeal, breakfast burritos, smoothies, gelato, and mocktails. The barista who crafted my 16oz mocha did a fantastic job. Nicely balanced flavor wise and perfect temperature which was greatly appreciated. Most indie coffee spots are drive throughs along my route. One I had frequented on Wheaton Way had relocated and now closed. Another one I enjoy is located in the Charleston neighborhood on Callow, so it's good to add Vim & Vigor to my rotation when I'm across the sound in Bremerton.

And to me, the price is too high for the food to just be "fine." The mocktails are always delicious, and one time they made me a Pimm's cup. I've also sipped a few of my family's cocktails and they're quite good. The best thing I had was a vegan sloppy Joe with chickpeas a few years ago. The vegan Caesar salad is good. They seem to have a housemade veggie burger on the menu year round, but it's on a brioche bun so if you want to get it vegan it just comes without a bun... I had it once with the bun and even then I found it pretty dry and underwhelming, especially for the price. ($18 with a pickle and a handful of their thick fries [the fries are tasty and vegan]). We went yesterday and I got a squash appetizer without the crème fresh, and half the squash was undercooked (like so hard I couldn't put a fork through it). I told the server and they comped the dish, but even the part that was edible wasn't that great, so I didn't really want a replacement. My sister likes the steak, she's had it twice and the steak is cooked well, the sauce is good, but the carrots have been undercooked both times. She agrees that the drinks are better than the food. She also says the desserts are good. My mom thought the crab cakes were delicious, her Brussels sprouts were not undercooked. The people who work there are lovely, and it's a good vibe, but it might just be a drinks & desserts spot for me.
