    Homemade lasagna!!

Everything was great! The food, staff, owner, atmosphere, cleanliness! Can't say anything wasn't up to par. We had chicken Alfredo, beef ravioli with meat sauce and here's a picture of the lasagna...

A small Aegean pizza with sausage added

We love the food and service and view here. We had the Aegean pizza with sausage added and the lasagne and we took a ham and chicken chop salads home for dinner. Great food. So delicious. Service was wonderful professional and courteous and attended to our needs wonderfully.

My only complaint is not being informed there is a 4% charge for using a credit card when i went to pay. Plus the staff got pissy when I asked to understand how the bill went from $99 to $103. Perhaps I'm the only one who pays attention. I get that credit card fees are ridiculous, and the cash the credit card company gives me back comes from someplace. My experience is that those businesses who charge a fee to use a credit card, inform you before paying by having a sign at the register so the consumer can make an informed choice. Surprising a customer just isn't a good business practice. Tasty food, a little slow (at lunch) but tasty food. My kids & grand children love the food here and come often.

I've always liked this pizza restaurant and both locations. The staff are very courteous, and they even deliver curbside with a smile. The pizza can be a bit hit and miss, but it is consistent most of the time. The crust is slightly deep, the top are generous, and the flavors are good on most of the pizzas. I was a little disappointed when I asked for anchovie on my pizza recently. And they poured what seemed to be an entire jar of them on the pizza. That's the only time I had a pizza where I did not enjoy it as much as I could have. They have a chopped salad that is very delicious. Of the two choices I prefer the one with salami instead of am that just has a more robust and tasty flavor. I've only had their sandwiches once and they were good mainly because the crust is crispy enough and the fillings are ample. I recommend it.

Cheesy bread was delicious and came with a very thick and tasty ranch and a side of marinara!

The pizza was great! The cheesy bread was really good and the meatballs were okay but for the price I probably wouldn't purchase them in the future. We did take out and it was ready on time and the team working the front checkout area were professional and very courteous. I'll be back.

    Disgusting

I know, sounds hard to believe, but truly they serve the worst pizza imaginable. Think of an apple pie, with the apple sauce replaced with a thick layer of artificial cheese. Topping will be the 4th layer. Cookie Dow, followed by a thin layer of mediocre tomato sauce, followed by a thick layer of disgusting cheese, followed by a layer of toppings.. just try a different place, this ain't Italian pizza by no means.

This place is a vestige of an America long dead in most places. Rarely have I been filled with such joy and nostalgia when walking into a place I've never been. This place has soul and character. The manager and staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was spot on. It's a good old fashioned family pizza and pasta establishment that should be protected like a national park and I'll fight any man who says otherwise. We got the house special pizza with no olives. It was delicious all around but the most notable part was the crust. Soft and flaky with a crunch. We will definitely be coming back when we're in the area and recommending it to anyone who will listen!

SPIRO's Bucklin Hill their "Meatball" Sandwich. Where is the BEEF?
    Max D.

It has been our family go to & favorite pizza restaurant place but has changed drastically. Besides the poor quality & taste of their food and another disappointment recently on the meatball sandwich put us to shame for our guests. Supposedly there is usually 2 or 3 meatballs but this time there was hardly any meat. Where is the BEEF? Called to today to make inquiry if they changed their recipe , put me on hold to check & claims didn't, just an apology with no sincerity to their patrons. Will not recommend & NOT GO BACK to this establishment . What a shame!!!!

    Aegean Pizza
    Megan S.

My mom loves the Aegean pizza, she's been ordering it for years. Shrimp doesn't belong on pizza but I digress. So mom wanted her Aegean for a family dinner this week. We ordered 5 pizzas and a couple side salads to feed the whole crew. I've been dragged to Spiro's numerous times over the years, pizza quality has always been questionable after hearing stories from friends who worked here. This visit was no exception after finding a hair in one of the pizzas. Despite concerns on sanitation, Spiro's pizza is certainly different. The crust is thick, chewy and very doughy. More like a buttery pastry crust than anything else. The sauce lacks flavor and is more like a tomato paste. Then the layer of cheese just surfs on top....I've never understood how they manage to add such a thick layer of cheese that rides the crust like a slip and slide and don't forget sausage pieces the size of small golf balls. In summary, the pizza is edible and nothing like any pizza you'll receive anywhere else. I can't stop my mom from her Aegean when she's buying but if it were my choice I'd pick somewhere else.

Dropped in on Wednesday with my daughter and son-in-law after picking them up at the airport. In the past I have wandered through the menu and tried different things. But lately I've always gravitated to their Eggplant Parm. It's always such a generous portion, but I was totally surprised to see a SMALLER version on the menu! I ordered that and it was STILL a good sized portion. And, as good as I remembered. Nice crispy discs of eggplant, a huge raft of melty cheese, marinara and a side of spaghetti! I had missed it so much I was very tempted to eat it all, but after salad and a breadstick, I was happily satisfied so took my leftovers home for lunch the next day. Service was super pleasant and, given the crappy drive I had to/from the airport in a soaking rain and blustery wind, I really needed that glass of wine. Of all the chain 'family restaurants' I think the OG is my fave. Comfortable, unpretentious and at reasonable prices. Thanks for scratching my eggplant itch!

She was most attentive and had a great sense of humor. We ordered starter salads and small pizzas. My wife had the Caesar salad and I had the house salad...both $8.00. Our 10 inch pizza was the BOBdacious ($18.00): pesto, mozzarella, gorgonzola, shredded chicken, spicy Italian sausage, and fresh basil. The pizza wasn't bad...lots of flavor, but I thought the crust was a little tough and my wife wasn't fond of the sausage used. All pizzas are fire baked, though not wood-fired. The highlight of the meal for me was the salad. The greens were sort of chopped and easier to eat than the oversized leaves of lettuce that seem popular now. Plus there was tons of shredded mozzarella and sliced black olives on the top. The Italian dressing I ordered was very flavorful too. Our friends loved their red sauced pizza; can't recall which one they ordered. I'd likely return for another salad and maybe a sandwich or a couple of appetizers. We chose only water to drink with our meal, but looks like they have a decent beer and mixed drink menu too.

I can go to Costco, get 3 MASSIVE pepperoni pizzas that taste better and feed more for the price of two pizzas and some "crazy bread" from this location (which is what we will be doing from now on. But I digress... you walk into this particular location and it's dirty, run down, and borderline run by the crack heads outside. I'm genuinely shocked they'd pass any type of health inspection. I guess there's a reason they're never busy. After you step into this dirty facility you're not greeted. 9 times out of 10, the employees are in the back, evidently not cleaning. When they finally crawl up to the counter with lifeless eyes and almost no sense of pride or happiness, they mumble sweet nothings of "what are you having?" borderline inaudible to a dog. On to my last and most likely important point: typically you get what you pay for. I paid almost $35 for "Hot-N-Ready" pizza that most certainly was not ready. I waited 15-20 minutes for my "fast food", but on a positive note it was at least hot. I should hope so considering they clearly had to build a fire to make it. I did not get what I paid for. What a tragic experience this was. This has been consistent at this location too. I've been two other times hoping these were flukes but alas, this is consistent. Someone needs to buy the place and revamp it, or turn it into extra parking for ihop. Worst and most ghetto little Caesar's in the area, for sure.
