An older couple greeted me with such genuine kindness, and you can immediately tell this is a family-run business. Their son was behind the counter, and the whole restaurant has a warm, family-centered atmosphere that's becoming harder to find. Most importantly, the poke was excellent. This is true Hawaiian-style poke--not the typical build-your-own mainland poke bowl with endless toppings. The fish was fresh, well-seasoned, and reminded me of the authentic poke I loved in San Diego. If you're looking for real Hawaiian-style poke around the Gig Harbor/Bremerton area, this place is absolutely worth the trip. Great food, wonderful people, and the kind of local family business I'm happy to support. I'll definitely be back!

I also had to ask for utensils so I could eat my food when I got home. The salad was the biggest disappointment. The salad had more pepperoncini and slices of Gouda than anything else. Based on how the salad was described on the menu, I expected something completely different.
