When I visited couple days ago, I was surprised to see that her inventive and creative way of threading just melted my heart that she was using her neck that connects to the necklace. This is a great place to go with the Yelp voucher! The lady who did my eyebrows asked me first how I wanted them shaped. I've never been asked that and I've been to a lot of threading salons. They usually just get straight to it and you leave with them either too thin or the shape is off, depending on where you go. I told her just a clean-up. The lady was gentle and concerned if I was comfortable since my eyes were watering, as they always do during threading sessions. She did a great job, no stray hairs and the arching was sharp and clean. I will definitely come back here and I liked how she did my eyebrows. Don't forget to get a stamp card. read more

Bought the yelp deal $6.00 for $10.00 worth...I got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded. I must say this place was PAINFUL..I've gotten my eyebrows done before and it was actually relaxing for me but this place she goes a lot slower and I felt hairs ripping out slowly, BUT i do believe it was worth it. She had an attention for detail and there were NO stray hairs. The upper lip hurt more than I could ever imagine, and my upper lip was so puffy and inflamed after but with results like this I would do it again in a heart beat! Just wish you could keep using the yelp deal over and over, it's such a steal!! Although 10.00 for upper lip and eye brow is still a good deal. I tried this place after my mom recommended it. I had only had my eyebrows threaded once before and it hurt so much that I never did it again but Kaya didn't hurt at all. Every once in awhile a hair would be in there pretty good but even the tug wasn't that bad. My eyes watered a lot but that was because I wasn't used to it. It was only $6 and she was very fast. I told her to keep my eyebrows thick and just clean up the edges and she did exactly that. They have multiple threading stations but it seemed like she was the only person who worked there, a little odd. No one else was waiting, it was pretty quiet. I hope they don't go out of business because this place is really great. My only criticism is when I walked in she basically just gestured me to the chair and did the job, she was very quiet so it was slightly awkward but other than that the service was great. This is my absolute favorite place to get my brows and lip threaded. For me, $10 is a real steal! I am willing to drive farther, just to get the job done right. Background: My eyebrows are very asymmetrical. The lady who I regularly threaded my brows botched it up by thinning it out really bad (I won't say where). You know something is wrong when they keep going over one spot a few times. When I saw what she'd done in the handheld mirror, I never went back to her. She had the annoying nerve to say that my eyebrows were thinning because of my previous pregnancies. I felt so self-conscious about my McDonald's arches, I cut my bangs just to hide them in that very same hour. I had to wait almost half a year of to grow it all back. When my brows were finally ready for shaping, I just walked in to Kaya. Dhruvi, was so nice and patient to work on making them look clean and even. Before I had the brow job done, I showed her how messed up my brows were. Dhruvi said, "I can work on it." She really took her time. She slowly and gently made my brows look cleaner. My brows were amazing, and my whole face looked so much cleaner after Dhruvi was done. The salon is very clean and I love the Indian ambiance. You know the place is legit when you see other Indian women are coming in and even bringing their daughters for threading. I also love that they don't try to upsale you with "waterproof" eyeliners (which were really not so waterproof) and other cosmetics. I thought I found my go to place when I don't have time to drive to Cerritos to get my eyebrows done. The lady who works here is really nice, and the threading doesn't hurt so that's always a plus. She takes her time. But the last time I went I got small bumps around my eye brows =/ Hate when I try new places and that happens. Quick, clean, and cheap. Kaya doesn't take reservations, you just show up. When I went, it was completely empty. When I left, there were three people waiting, so I think it's a hit or miss regarding the wait. It's located across from Brea Mall on Birch, next to Kabuki (in the Target plaza). I did get some bumps on my brow area though. I saw Claudia C.'s tip on this place and immediately wonder if it was caused by the thread but oh well, it's gone now and I probably would come back. As noted by other Yelpers, it's probably best to come by on a Monday or Tuesday to take advantage of the dollar off, if you can. read more

I come here for eyebrow threading for their quick, clean service. I love how my brow looks after each "clean up" and I never have to tell them anything! I did get henna done here once, but was not very satisfied with the whole process/results. My rating is not for the henna though, because I do not believe that is their main service; also, I got henna done over a year ago. During the time I went to get it done, since it was my first time ever getting a henna tattoo done, I feel like there was not enough customer service nor information for a first timer like I was. The tattoo was not very visible, either. On a side note, the studio is very clean , and I never have to wait more than 8 minutes to get my brows done. read more

i've been going here since i was a freshman in high school and i still go here as a sophomore in college!! the lady here is the best she always leaves my brows looking perfect!! i also have the lowest pain tolerance ever and she's always patient with me!! as for covid regulations a girl was before me and she sanitized the stuff she used in front of me, she sanitized the seat where you get them done and the seat i sat on while i was waiting for her to finish the girl before me!! she also has a mask on the whole time very safe and clean 10/10 recommend:) read more

She's never done a sloppy job or rushed my brows. She's only there on weekdays. HOWEVER The other lady (who's there on the weekends) is horrible! I had my eyebrows done by her once and if I go in and see her there I run the other direction. I left with thin and uneven brows the time I let her do mine. Never again. Loooooove this place!!!! I've been to a few eyebrow threading places and this is my go to spot. The lady/owner is so great she asked me how I like the shape of my eyebrows and she does such a great job. I always get asked where I get my eyebrows done because they look perfectly shaped and cleaned. The location is in the same lot of my work so its so convenient to go there on my breaks. Due to a previous bad experience at another salon, I had to grow my brows out. I have normally very thick brows and they were a complete mess when walking in to this salon. I was the only person there upon arrival and she sat me down right away. She didn't say much and went straight to work. It's been a long time since I've been threaded so I expected to be in quite some pain, but that was not the case. There was some pain, of course (it still is threading after all), but nothing compared to what it should have been. She also reshaped them and after about 5 minutes, I was out the door. I've tried this place out a few times and they've botched my eyebrows too many times now. The lady in chair #2 has horrible technique and she threaded them way too thin. I explained exactly what I wanted but completely avoided what I said (just clean up, leave the gaps alone, trying to grow them out). However, the lady in chair 3 always does them right. I just never seem to catch her there. They were apologetic, but done with this place. read more

Don't recommend, and likely won't come back. Asked to keep my eyebrows natural and when done, all my hair was gone. My eyebrows came out super thin and completely unnatural. They do a really good job here. Just make sure that you choose the person that you want and go to them every time. Also, another tip if you don't want to get those little cuts on your eyebrows, make sure that when they ask you to hold your eye while they thread your brow, that you pull the skin very tout. Any loose skin will cause cutting when they are threading you. read more

VERY SHORT AND SLOPPY! I've been going to various threading places for over 10 years, and this one takes the cake for the shortest ever. I went on a Sunday and the the threading took literally 60 seconds. I had to ask her to do more and get the short ones closer to my eye line. Even then, she left a lot of little hairs. I am new to the area and was on a mad hunt for someone to fix my eyebrows (they were on the road to "ugh"...). Walked in. Druvy (I think that's her name?) greeted me and sat me down in one of the threading chairs, and did her magic. I told her to please leave them thicker. I was trying to grow my eyebrows out (I did went at them once every week with a tweezer for a few months because I was too lazy/busy to go get them done) because they were too thin. She said no problem. She was so gentle I swear it didn't hurt AT ALL.. I didn't even feel the pulling. She was so meticulous, threading, trimming, then threading again to touch-up her work. 10 minutes later, wah lah! My eyebrows are back under control, and they remained thicker (as I requested), but are much cleaner and well-shaped. Very satisfied! I will come back. Oh yeah, they also do stamp cards. :) 10x paid threading session = 1 free threading session. And the price was way good! read more

My eyebrows needed threading and after snagging a deal on Groupon, I decided to try this place out. I usually go to Shear Artistry in Diamond Bar, but I might just start going here because it's just as good AND cheaper (although more of a drive). Their usual price for eyebrow threading is $6 (Shear Artistry is $10), but with my Groupon it was $4 :o When I walked in, it was just me and another customer with only two workers - one doing the threading and the other working the cash register. It has a pretty nice interior though, as the Yelp photos show. They also have a TV playing Indian music videos, hehe. Anyway, when I walked in, the lady was already working on a customer's brows, so I signed in and waited. Within a few minutes, she was done and I was next. I was caught a little off guard when she asked me how I wanted my brows done. Shear Artistry never asks me that, so I appreciate that they're thinking of the customer. I basically told her that I wanted to just clean them up since my shape was still visible. She nodded and got to work. The process is the same as Shear Artistry, so no difference in that. When she was done, I was very pleased with the results! She did a really good job and there were no hairs that she missed anywhere :) When I showed my Groupon to the cashier, he also gave me a stamp card, which is another thing that stands out about this place. After 10 threading sessions, you get the 11th one free! I definitely don't mind coming back here :) Tips/FYI's: - Located right next to Kabuki restaurant (same plaza as Target). - Check for Yelp or Groupon deals! The usual girl that works here is GREAT! She listens to what you want and makes sure that she doesn't take too much off if you do not want it. I went in today (Sunday) and the usual lady wasn't there, instead it was someone much younger who was not nice. She didn't even listen to my request to not have too much taken off and when I walked out I felt like I didn't have any eyebrow. She could tell I was uncomfortable and upset and when I said they were too thin she started fighting with me about it. She said I didn't have any hair and that she didn't take too much off. She is rude and I recommend NOT going on Sunday. I wish I would have waited for the usual girl but I trusted that this one would be good and I was WRONG.
