Just when I thought it couldn't get better! My two favorite restaurants combined forces and I did a happy dance! The Craft House brought 90% of their menu over and it's excellent. The Third Place really listened to the feedback about the confusion around seat, ordering, and whatnot so if you were put off by the negative reviews before, give it another try. Greg and Marci from CH have come on board and they are and true example of what it means to give stellar customer service. They greet every customer like they know you, and treat you like family if you've been there before. I really enjoy now being able to order drinks and dessert at the table. We decided to give Third Place another try and they definitely made a lot of changes to the menu. We arrived at 11am and placed our order, our food didn't come out for around 40 minutes. We ordered the Cubano, Fancy BLT & Ahi Salad. The food was mediocre. Not much flavor in the sandwiches, and the salad was literally lettuce, ahi and pickled ginger for $22... it could have had some edamame beans, avocado etc. especially for the price. The sweet potato fries were the best part of the meal, very crunchy and delicious. For 3 items + tip the total was around $75, switch is definitely STEEP for lunch. We would have preferred the old method of ordering at the counter versus being served at the table as the service was just really slow, or even just scanning the QR code on the table and being able to order off the whole menu. We really hope this place improves as it's a great location and beautiful restaurant, and can definitely be an amazing addition to Clovis. We'll be back to try again read more

This is just the Craft House in a bigger space with a few more random drinks and desserts. It is exactly the same menu but the food was not executed well the way it used to be at the Craft House. My food was luke warm. The pork belly fries used to be served on a plate. Here they serve them in a bowl and by the time you get halfway through it's a soupy soggy glob of fries. The service was terrible. A bunch of servers wandering around but not actually checking on guests. It makes me nervous to walk into a place and see a ton of staff, empty tables, and the tables that do have guests don't have any food. read more

Customer service Aesthetics Drinks Food I've been there twice, and I can say I may only go there again for the mist outside drinking a Cloud 9 Soju Cocktail with a content belly from dining somewhere else. First time, I waited in line for 15-20 mins just to order and for them to tell me it'll be a 45 min wait. I looked at the time, they were going to close in 45 min. So I ended up not ordering. I went back a week later and went straight to the line and ended up waiting about 20 minutes. I ordered the ceviche, poke nachos and the teppanyaki bowl. After ordering, I was given a number and I went outside to find a seat. I was told they'll bring the food right to me. I was enjoying my cocktail and having a good time then I looked at the time, it had been an hour since I ordered. One hour. So I went to go check on the order and they said that it was coming out soon & apologized for the wait. They were definitely backed up and I eventually received my orders about ten minutes after that. I can't say it was worth the wait though. My teppanyaki bowl did not taste what I expected to taste. The beef was stew meat. I didn't end up eating it. The ceviche didn't have much flavor. The chips had gotten soggy from the lime juice. The poke bowl was most tastiest one out of them all. It is similar to yard house except minus some degrees. It was a little too heavy on the sweet sauce and with very little ahi tuna & a lot of wonton chips. The ladies talking orders were really nice and had great customer service. Filtered water is available. It's just not chilled. read more

Just went back & we were super bummed to find that Seconds has closed permanently. No Third Place visit was complete without the black sesame latte & a soft serve. The oatly soft serve was a big reason we would come, our toddlers favorite. With all the second place lights off, it made the restaurant feel dark & empty. Kind of an odd vibe. The service was slow with the drinks from a different vendor even though we were the only customers. Prices of the drinks were outrageous for the size. The ambience here is fantastic. It has a great little patio area and a very hip kind of vibe. The mango Chamoy sorbet dessert is the most delicious item for a refreshing start. Lots of great appetizers burgers and other food with a unique twist. Definitely a fun place to go eat with solid quality food. Service is respectful and people are very friendly. read more

It was a soft opening, but it wasn't too busy earlier in day. However, one thing to note is menu prices are off or need editing. There were a couple discrepancies between the menu,what they charge you, or what they mean. Spicy tuna pani puri was stated on menu at 12 dollars charged 15, Pork belly Bao bun item description was confusing. "two bao buns stuffed with pork belly slices", you will only receive one. Just a heads up not two seperate Bao buns with pork belly, just one in quantity. However, chef and customer service made it right in the end due to confusion. Customer service was very nice! Friend ordered Peruvian Ceviche, just a side note it is not chopped, you get whole fillets. Sauce was good. Another friend got the ahi tots , that was very good! Next time will be getting an order of that. Tried tiramisu latte, opted to add boba for 60cents. About 8 bucks for latte: Boba was very hard and not a good texture. Flavor of latte was alright, very sweet. Like I said, it was soft launch so I am thinking staff and the places are still getting used to things. Ambiance and location were nice, a fun vibe overall. I will try again once they are more established. They have a lot of potential, I can see the craft and care they have for business/food. Bao bun- 8/10 flavor was good, but in the future not sure if I would spend 14 dollars for one bao bun good. Spicy tuna Pani Puri - 7/10 , good. tasty. fun dish. Simple. 15 dollars Tiramisu Latte- 4/10 very sweet, flavor was alright, a bit undistinguishable. Has potential. Recommend ordering half sweet, but if you love sweet sweet you will be fine!. We have been going to Craft House for years (our favorite place in OTC) and are glad they have found their footing at The Third Place. Greg and his team are wonderful and the food is amazing. You can't find food like this around. From the kids menu, the crab cakes and greens (full of crab and a fresh lemon dressing on the greens) to the great sandwiches and tacos, you can't go wrong. Moving to the new place had some growing pains (just a change) but this place is amazing and worth a try! So glad to have a place like this in Clovis. read more

We ate here shortly after it had its soft opening and the food was very good, loved the concept of having several different menus and almost being a nicer version of a food hall. First time around we were a little disappointed that they didn't have a kids menu. However when we went last week after they reopened, the menu had changed (I've heard it's basically crafthouse's menu with a few changes), but the food was solid, and they do have a kids menu which is great. There are pros and cons like with any restaurant, the staff were very pleasant and the food tasted great, awesome drink selection, however the wait time was very long once we got our order placed. While it was worth the wait for me, I can see why others would disagree. Overall its a good atmosphere, very laid back, once they get the timing down and maybe diversify the menu to add more of the "global" food choices back in I'm sure this place will be a favorite of ours. read more

This place looks very cool and enjoyable. Unfortunately I came on Sunday at 2:50 but they said the kitchen was closed. The dining room is still full and people are eating. I am guessing they closed down a little earlier than they should've. Pretty disappointing because I wanted to enjoy Sunday drink and a meal. Had to drive off go somewhere else. The food was ok, I had the fish tacos and my husband had the poke nachos. The poke nachos were not great and fish tacos tasted good, but the fish was cold by the time it finally made it to the table. I believe the problem is with the kitchen and how they expedite food. The kitchen did not keep up with the orders, and the food that was ready sat in the window. Even worse is that food was not being served as a table, rather the expediters were just delivering food at random. We arrived at 12:30 and didn't leave until 2:00. It took a whole hour before food arrived. For Wednesday lunch hour, I would not be able to do a lunch there again without being late to work. I really wanted to love this place. read more

Very cool atmosphere. I really want this place to be successful. Maybe because it was close to first opening day, but the food took 1 hour and was very disappointing. I had the Lomo Saltado that was nothing more than a greasy plate of meat and potatoes with teriyaki flavoring probably left over from their asian plates. Nothing like the picture. Had 0 tomatoes, or at least anything discernable at a tomato. I think I ate 1 tomato skin. My wife had the poke nachos which were okay. Seemed like store bought wonton chips and some version of store bought Sriracha mayo and teriyaki. No one bussed tables. Very busy, with not table to sit unless you were comfortable bussing some one else's dishes and mess. Almost seems like the vibe would support a beer garden with food trucks. Again, great vibe. Employees incredibly nice. I want this place to be successful and I am providing this honest feedback to the extent it's helpful. I will 100% be back, and I hope the experience is better. read more

This place has a nice vibe to it. I went on a Saturday for lunch and it was not too busy. They have a boba shop and a bar inside the premise as well as the kitchen so there is something for everyone. The food was quite good, just a bit pricey, and same goes for the drinks. read more

Enjoyed our lunch here! The menu is on the smaller side. I got the sliders and fries which were both good. My friend got the poke nachos and enjoyed. Both of us got drinks from their coffee bar which I think is super cute and is a highlight. I got the mango matcha and my friend got the sesame latte and we both love our drinks! Great tasting food and ambiance! I ordered the Wagyu sliders, which came with a side of fries. The sliders were juicy, full of flavor, and perfectly portioned. I also tried the duck tacos, which I had never had before, and was impressed with how delicious they were. Feeling adventurous, I ordered the oxtail grilled cheese, and it was awesome! I enjoyed a Dark Horse beer from Crow and Wolf in the beer garden, which paired well with my meal. For dessert, I had the pineapple Dole Whip soft serve, which was the perfect ending and a delightful treat without needing a trip to Disneyland! The service was fast, and the back patio was my favorite spot to hang out. I appreciated the shade and misting system on a warm day. Stopped by for a snack on girls night out and found The Third Place to be an amazing find. The staff were extremely friendly and restaurant was very inviting. The pork belly Fries and going violet sliders were very delicious as well as the cranberry cider. We also added on a couple of their house made sauces the strawberry sriracha and jalapeño arugula aioli and they took everything to the next level I could add those to every meal. Ambience is great. Love the indoor/outdoor vibe. The food menu was short and simple. Some comments I have about this place is that there are different ordering stations for ordering 1) food 2) drinks 3) and alcohol which is a bit different when comparing to ordering at your typical restaurant. I'll be honest, I didn't enjoy that much because I had separate transactions. Service was average. The wait for food was about 40 minutes. It was a Sunday afternoon around 1:30 pm when my friends and I ordered there. I had the chilaquiles with steak and eggs and I ordered a small black sesame dirty milk tea. I was a bit disappointed with my plate because I expected a few pieces of steak cuts/cubes, but I barely had any. I think I had two halves of a steak cut, just enough for a tasting. Not sure if they were running out of ingredients or if they were just being stingy with their steak. It tasted good, but I wasn't too impressed with the plate given the serving size of the steak. The drink was good, but didn't think it was worth the price. I'll give this place another try for their dinner menu. Hopefully the experience will not be as disappointing. read more
