We went for burlesque brunch. The show was so much fun. We really enjoyed the vibe, the entertainers and the bottomless mimosas.. but we ordered brunch before the show started and unfortunately never got our food. I was looking forward to my shrimp and grits. They said the kitchen is small and just gets backed up. But everyone around us got their food.. the table right next to us even got a second round.. an order of truffle fries which shelled really good. I would definitely go back for the entertainment and to actually try the food next time. Our server did keep the mimosas flowing!

What a nice gem. I chose to visit bc of their great happy hour. Staff was very friendly. It's a small, intimate place. Nice change from a loud bar for HH. They have an outdoor space as well. I had several glasses of tap wine and a phenomenal cheese board. The bread on this board spoke to my inner carb loving self. As the night went on, they started to play more upbeat music which was nice. The service slowed down a bit bc only 1 person was working the bar, but I am looking forward to going back.

This was my first visit to the tasting room, I was a little upset that they stopped the upstairs outside seating, but it still turned out to be a great first visit. We ordered the bubbly flights and the bourbon flights and for my entree I order the chicken sandwich with wedges. The chicken sandwich was salty and didn't include the egg like I saw on the video I'm not sure if that's extra or not. Although the sandwich was wasn't seasoned to my liking it wasn't overbearing so I was still able to eat it. The potato wedges were cooked to perfection. All around I give this visit an 8 out of 10 I will be back.

Looking through Yelp and found the Tasting Room. Decided to come because of their happy hour. Sent out a text and I was planning a group gala. On the day we selected the weather was horrible, lots of rain. My group dwindled but a few was still in We ordered the cheese board. Great cheese accompanied by some hot toasted bread with fabulous jams. Berries and nuts to round it off. It was great I ordered the house Sauvignon Blanc ...tap wine is never cold enough for me. Tionna really liked the Blanc. In the end I changed because Tito is a well drink. The ambiance is great. Truly New Orleans style. Parking was easier because it is at the end of Magazine 3 hours later we still here. We order a chicken sandwich. Bite into it and the texture spells raw. Tionna puts on the flashlight and it is pink. When we send it back someone comes out and explain their process. Nothing they said accounted for raw. At the end of the day a simple apology for the rawness would have been sufficient Did not stop our party. Our bartender Teddy actually came and apologized, asked us what could he do to keep us satisfied. That made our wine drinking butts happy. Our reply was keep the bottles coming. He came back at us with Charles Krug. We will be back. 4 stars for Teddy, great wine and awesome fries. Short a star for raw chicken. Cook your chicken southern style please

I came here for a drag brunch on Halloween. This was my first time here. We walked in and were greeted and seated in a timely manner. The ambience here is really nice. There were only 2 servers and they were really busy. 3 pepper in my party ordered drinks but I was still deciding. It took me a few more minutes but my server never came back. After 16 minutes of waiting for the server to come back I flagged down the other server to take my order. I think the servers were also bartending. Our drinks were really good. We all enjoyed those. The food was meh. I ordered a steak board and when it arrived it was the same thing another member of my party ordered. Steak and eggs with no board. When I asked the server why I didn't get the steak board she told me it was the steak board. I asked why it looked identical to the steak and eggs plate and she tried to convince me it was different. It was the same right down to the raspberry on the salad. Another member of my party had burned eggs. My eggs were just dry. I ordered the steak medium and it was definitely medium well. The salad was the saddest part about the plate. The price for the plate definitely wasn't worth it. I would've given a 1 but I gave the staff some leeway as it isn't their fault that they didn't have enough of their coworkers on the schedule to help out. If I were to ever go back it would just be for drinks. Also gratuity was added to a ticket for a party of 4. I found that odd.

This small and quiet place located at the top of Magazine St. Was perfect Monday Night Date Night! Customer service was AWESOME! Especially considering the bartender doubled as the waiter too. Small kitchen with AMAZING eats. THE Cajun Shrimp Roll reminded me of a lobster roll. Marinated in Cajun seasoning, tossed in a creamy sauce, and served collard on a sweet brioche bun! Perfect small bite plate. The bar had plenty of options and a great, strong French 75!

Super cute spot. They only server tapas style food during the day. Cocktails were delicious. The ambiance of the location and customer service was great!

A perfect trendy date night spot. The charcuterie boards were a nice balance of sweet, savory, and salty. But my favorite thing on the happy hour menu was the sliders. Definitely worth the extra few minute wait to prepare, because they were ah-mazing.

Happy hour, cheese plate, and drinks. Fabulous.

What a fabulous little local find. Currently doing a local bar hop every Thursday night with my girlfriends, and happened to come across this Jim. First of all the lighting and the decor is so gorgeous and makes you think why would you want to hang out in a dive bar! This is right around the corner! Secondly, the happy hour and the service is awesome. I'll definitely be making this a local hangout place.

Fries that were served. Not Parmesan waffle fries

Came for drag brunch. Took over 20 min to give a drink order. Another 15 min for the drink. And 15 min after that to place food order. Food was terrible. They were missing several items off menu. Fries were plain and cold when they came out after 40 min (were advertised as Parmesan fries). French toast came out at 50 min. In regular sandwich bread and not Texas toast with whisky caramel sauce as described on menu... for $20!!! I don't mind paying good money for food but this is atrocious. Like, McDonald's equivalent. I'm also a happy tipper because these streets are rough for the service industry. My review would have been one star if not for awesome drag performance that my niecephew loved.

Cute little wine bar in Lower Garden District - perfect for date night! Great for happy hour - discounts on wine, margaritas, and a cheese platter.

I saw this place on tiktok and it had good reviews so I was excited to go. My experience could be isolated due to short staffing. I overheard the wait staff saying they'd recently loss a chef. We waited well over a hour for our food. They did give us French fries to eat on while we waited. By we I mean every patron. No one had any food on their tables and every table was brought out French fries. I think most people waited a lot longer than we did for entrees. The menu is already limited and everything was not available. Sadly the chicken sandwich wouldn't be enough to make me go back and endure the wait. (3 stars really are solely for the waitress and $25 bottomless mimosas) The bottomless mimosa was a good deal. The waitress was very nice. If I went back it would be to see the drag brunch or for drinks.

Perhaps the most intimate wine bar in New Orleans. Very cool space. Lots of wood and brick. Background music perfect for conversation. Great wine list and full bar with craft cocktails. Wonderful selection of small plates to share, charcuterie boards and entrees. Don't miss the fried asparagus with the best dipping sauce ever! Very good truffle fries. The burger looked awesome, too. Super friendly helpful staff. Great happy hour deals from 3p-6p. I honestly can't think of a better place for a romantic dinner or happy hour drink with friends.

The presentation of the food came was amazing. We ordered the linguine and added meatballs, which was well worth it. We also ordered the shrimp & grits, which included Brussels sprouts. Boy, it was sure nice to get some vegetables in my stomach after eating all that yummy fried food during our stay! All in all, both dishes were delicious. It is a little on the pricey side, but after several days of eating in the touristy area of the French Quarter, this was truly a welcome change. Service was polite and attentive. I always appreciate the staff's efforts by making simply making eye contact and smiling (which they did). Seems trivial but I think those small things says a lot about a business. I would recommend this restaurant even if you are not a guest of the hotel.

The ambiance is amazing, plus velvet, emerald and sapphire tone, glitzy, and feels like a good photo op. The bar and cocktail menu looked expansive. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!

My wife and I visited on our first NoLa trip together about 4 years ago and make it a point to go every time now. Our first time we stopped in for lunch at the bar and had an excellent experience, and decided to return. We came back on the next trip just to grab a drink and a snack before heading down for dinner in the Bywater. The bartender (Chris) gave a bunch of recommendations for places to visit that way, all of which we have done in the past few trips and have loved. But it's this past trip where we were truly blown away. We were in town for JazzFest and after walking back to the French Quarter, we were thinking about food options and decided to take a gamble to see if we could get a seat at the bar or maybe grab a drink for the road before getting food somewhere else. The bar was full when we got there around 8/8:15, but they had a no show and could serve us, as long as we ordered quickly and were ok with the check hitting the table right at 9PM. Given our slightly (perhaps generous) inebriated state from being at the festival all day and being slightly underdressed, we felt this was quite a kind accommodation. With the clear expectations of needing to get our orders in quickly, we wasted no time making a decision on our drinks and a few food options. Despite this need for a quick turn around, at no time did we feel rushed. The food and drinks were absolutely perfect, as they always are. But what impressed us most was the staff. At no point did the hostess or wait staff seem annoyed by us, despite us parachuting in from a music festival and looking like sunburn and poor decisions. By managing expectations on the front end, we never felt rushed despite the need for a quick turn around. They were all lovely, professional, and as cordial as if we were regulars with standing reservations once a week. In terms of atmosphere, it is always perfect: lively and fun for a date night, dinner with friends/family, or just a nice drink before a night out and about. I truly cannot begin to explain how much I love this restaurant and every experience I've had there. The awards and accolades this establishment (a sincere and lofty term Jewel of the South truly deserves) have been awarded are beyond well earned. Restaurants around the country should aspire to provide the quality of food, service, and overall hospitality Jewel of the South provides on a regular basis. It will continue to be our first and foremost recommendation to anyone we know who is going to New Orleans. Bravo! We shall return!

The ambiance was absolutely stunning. We arrived at night, and even in the dim lighting, the charm of the space--from the books lining the walls to the velvet chairs and lush animal-print accents--created the perfect Saturday night vibe. It was also quieter than a typical bar, which made it feel refined and intimate; you can actually enjoy a real conversation while soaking in the beauty of the space. The drink menu is short but tasteful, with a wide range of profiles. With an exceptionally skilled bartender (sad I did not catch his name), every cocktail was perfectly balanced and beautifully executed. He was also happy to craft off-menu drinks by request. The host was also warm, funny, and attentive. We didn't get to try the food this time, but we're already looking forward to it on our next visit!

The entrance is nice with an overhead and plants lining the walk down into the lounge. Once you're in you're greeted by a hostess, who was actually a bit snarky and rude when seating us for our reservation (also said by another guest we spoke to). The actual space itself is moody, dimly lit with red accents throughout. It has a polished feel and the environment is incredibly intimate. Our waitress was very nice and made ordering with a party of 10 seamless. For our order we got a banana Negroni and a glass of white wine. The wine was great, crisp and sweet. The Negroni was strong and bold with the banana peeking through the drink with flavor. They also offer a few bites off their menu but we opted not to grab one there. The whole experience was fun and everyone liked their drinks. It's a great place to relax and get some drinks but the experience with the hostess was a bit off-putting. A great option if you're looking for a quiet, more refined cocktail lounge to enjoy a drink in NOLA.
