Very well decorated and clean and just has a lush, fabulous look. Thursday's are jazz night so when we got there they were playing jazz music and then a little later a live jazz show started. I loved it and wished I could've stayed longer for the live music. Now let's talk food. Everything we had was delicious. Thursday is all day happy hour so cheaper price and smaller portion but it wasn't a problem for us. Truffle fries 10/10. Lamb chops 10/10, we got a second order. Crab beignets 10/10, also got a second order. Deviled eggs were a 5/10 for me, I didn't much care for the fried battered egg hut my sister loved it. And the ceviche 5/10, average. I would definitely go back for the lamb chops and to try the pizzas. I can't remember the name of our drinks but they were all good. Our server was amazing, so kind and friendly. I think her name was Kay. She gave us good suggestions and told us about the place and the things they do throughout the week since we weren't from Houston and not familiar with it. We had a nice little chat with her. Then later My sister accidentally left something on the table and didn't realize until after they cleaned the table. We went told them and they had someone go through the trash and find it for us which was just so nice. It didn't take long because they had just cleaned the table but still who wants to look through the trash. They really didn't have to do that so we really appreciated it. Overall my sister and I had a great experience here. Will definitely be back when we're n Houston again but probably only a Thursday cause I heard it gets crazy in there.

Fancy's in Houston has been such a great experience, especially when it comes to customer service…read more What really stood out to me was how ownership handled a situation that needed a little extra attention. They were responsive, professional, and genuinely cared about making things right. You can tell the owners take pride in the restaurant and truly value their customers. That kind of conflict resolution and personal attention is rare and says a lot about how they run the business. If you're looking for a Houston restaurant with great service, attentive ownership, and a team that actually cares about the customer experience, I would absolutely recommend Fancy's. I'll definitely be back.

Seemed secure enough as security was outside watching the cars. Once inside you are drawn in with the lights, music and party. For a Wednesday, it was buzzing, nice mix of crowd and music was hype. The bartenders were friendly and attentive, unlike other places that you order a drink and bartender disappears or doesn't check on you until it's time to leave. Dress code was also a mix between dressy and clean cut. Kept it simple with drinks & just had my go to beer, Pacifico. Had a good time didn't realize how late it was until the main lights came on. Saw that they have food and good espresso martini's, that's a sign to come back soon.

After closing for a hot minute close to two years ago, it was revitalized with new ownership which made some significant updates to the interior while preserving the old school vibe. The neon signs, LCD TVs perched high above the bar, the lively patio area, and even the pool table really add to the overall experience. I tend to find myself at the bar mostly, slamming back a few of what they do best: affordable libations. My recent string of $5 well tequila drinks were appreciated, along with a series of shots form other ddddd The friendly bartenders are a plus, along with the occasional food vendors that make their appearance in pop-up form or the randoms selling overpriced tamales. There are some nights where it's relaxing jazz with a martini, or a weekend evening full of crowded college-aged kids with music so loud that I can't hear what I'm saying. Bathrooms are always a flight risk during times of desperation and the prices have remained steady despite hikes across the rest of Westheimer. The parking situation is limited to a few spots out front, which are so tight that backing in is a gamble and going front in might result in an angle. it's a tight squeeze for larger cars, but these are coveted spots for the bar hopping kind (#1). They do have a moderate sized parking lot and limited street parking, but you'd be better off carpooling or taking a rideshare. They have some really good craft cocktails and their menu changes seasonally. They also have mocktails which are equally as tasty. One of the cocktails that I really enjoyed is the French 765B which is a lavender French 75. If you need a bite to eat, they have a small food truck on site. They also allow outside food to be brought in which I found out on my most recent. I've been to their steak and trivia night on Thursdays which is so much fun! Trivia is ran by Challenge Entertainment. The prizes for trivia are gift cards that can be used at the bar. The steak is provided by Culinary Designs by M.E.R. and it's really good.
