This is my second or third time at this truck stop. I have to support them when they are from my local Hood. I found them however, in the fall book area. I have tried their Taco combo both carne and fish and both tacos were phenomenal. This time I ordered the nachos with carne and I will include a picture. I was pleasantly surprised by The Taco Stop Food Truck. While at a Soccer event for my daughter's team, the choices were between a coffee spot, another truck selling hot dogs, and the long lines here at Taco Stop. Honestly, it was an easy decision to make. I had their California Burrito, large and full of salty Carne Asada, filling French Fries, and tasty Sour Cream and Guacamole. It honestly wasn't the best during the first few bites. But, after allowing it time to cool down and giving the flavors a chance to meld together, it was both impressively good as well as big enough to warrant the price. My wife opted for the Carne Asada Tacos, which she nodded appreciatively at and ate without complaint. All in all, I don't think I had the largest of spreads to get the best idea of how this place actually is. The truck is always in the Fallbrook community of Horsecreek Ridge on Wednesday and Sundays. We had the California Burrito and Birria tacos. My son thought it was the best California burrito so I have to take his word because he gets one every time we go to a Mexican taco shop. Says it's better then the ones in Chula Vista! (That's where his last favorite was). The Birria tacos were ok. I have had better but they were still tasty. Would definitely get them again! What makes you return is their customer service! The Taco Stop Food Truck stops in our neighborhood weekly. There are ALWAYS cars stopping by from people on their way home, it's always a good sign when you have consistent business! My wife and I each got the asada fries. After ordering our son loved waiting with us and playing with the ambient lighting from their disco ball lights outside the truck. We waited less than 10 mins for fresh, hot food. Once we got home and tried the fries we discovered how delicious and full of flavor they were! The red sauce and green sauce were exceptional, too, and complimented the carne asada very well. Please consider trying this truck! read more

It was their first time visiting our Apartment complex. I sent my 11 year old son to order. They were very nice to him. We tried their cheese burger & fries meal. Sooo delicious! The burger is large, perfectly cooked, seasoned, the cheese was just yummy, and the bun (drooling face here), together just the way it comes is so satisfying. The fries I am guessing are fresh sliced potatoes & definitely clean oil, because the taste and texture was spot on and were perfectly salted. Plus they provided us with enough ketchup to finish our fries. The fries were even still good to eat the next day after being microwaved. Nice truck to have around if you don't feel like cooking dinner. We come here occasionally. Usually get a California burrito and a cheese quesadilla for my son. Tried the carnitas taco and an adobada taco. The carnitas was dry don't care for but the adobada taco was good I ordered asada fries instead of nachos but still good! read more

I've had the wonderful opportunity to try this food truck out at the Carlsbad Strawberry Field, just off of Cannon. I was so glad that it had birria tacos because I was especially craving it that day and boy, they did not disappoint. With two corn tortillas and a big mound of meat, with some chopped onion and cilantro....simple yet perfect. The asada taco was great as well (their birria is made with beef, traditionally made with goat). But oh my, their salsa was sooooo good. They have a salsa verde and a salsa roja. I preferred the salsa verde because it was not too spicy. The seasoning was soooooo amazing in the salsa that I wanted to drink it. The salsa was definitely a great complement to the tacos. My one slight con is that service is a little slow but well worth the wait. read more

Okay first off I'm a little mad at myself for loving the QUESOBIRRIA SO freaking much I made them disappear in 3.6 seconds and I didn't even take a photo of how beautifully they were made. I'm telling you they were full of delicious flavors very tAsteful and just made my tastebuds want more!! These guys know what their doing!! None of their meet is dried out it all is fresh and made to order! Their carne asada is wonderfully marinated and taste so delicious I definitely want more! Best tacos and service. He did a dinner dance for us with a crowd of 125 students. No lines. Service was quick and they had pagers so people could order and mingle instead of stay in line. He did the school dance and the kids loved it. Carne Asada fries were enough to share and prices were good!! Super nice family. I would highly recommend taco stop! read more

Noe (the owner and head chef) is AMAZING!! His tacos not only left me full but craving for more the instant that last bite hit my stomach. TacoSTOP has tons of delicious taco options and if that maybe isn't enough for you they also offer a variety of burgers and California style Mexican food like carne asada fries! They serve delicious cold beverages like the traditional bottled Coca Cola and a wide variety of chips to add to the taste. I recommend the quesabirria for its flavor and awesome style! Very disappointing! How can you charge 3$ a taco and mess up the taco! It's a freaking taco. I love fish tacos I asked if the fish was breaded and fried they said yes I'm expecting a bad ass fish taco! I got what looked like a frozen batterd fish tick. The breading came off with one bite the tortillas were not cooked through col and the cream was gross. All the tacos I ordered and was so excited to eat had cold raw tortillas a sprinkle of meat a sprinkle of onion and cilantro I basically ordered cold undercooked tortillas. The asada was definitely re heated , the adobada dry and thought the Birria dry and flavorless. The cabeza and tongue were tender yet no flavor. Rip off.
