Ok, so I've never written a review before but my experience here was so amazing I had to. I moved to Frisco about a month ago and we've been remodeling our kitchen this past week so I've been eating out a lot. Today I was really craving tacos and I ended up coming here to Taco Joint. First impression was amazing, right when I walked in the two workers up front greeted me and asked how my day was going, it felt so welcoming. They could tell I was having trouble deciding and the young guy helped me through what to get. I ended up getting a combo with a Lester and a street taco. The food came out really quick, a younger girl brought my food out to me and was so nice! The food was great, the music was awesome, and the string lights were really cool. Before I left they talked to me again and asked how everything was. They also gave me a coupon (it expires in 3 days) so I guess I'll be back soon! read more

I ordered beef fajita quesadillas and this is the strangest looking beef I've ever seen. (It's chicken) It was an online order so I can't speak for the store itself, but the food is fine. It's just not the meat I wanted. I am happy to report that the chicken is nice and tender and moist and seasoned. And it being dry/tough is why I usually DONT order chicken. Luckily I'm not picky and don't have any oddball religious reasons that I can't eat chicken. read more

The fish tacos are horrible. Not only where they higher priced than most of the tacos on the menu they taste like microwave tilapia. I will say the rice is very good. read more

Boo. I ordered through Uber Eats which apparently means they don't need to try. Ordered over $400 worth of tacos and sides. Clearly for a group. No plates. Orders of queso and chips entirely missing. $60 of quac came with no chips. I was told this was my fault since I ordered through Uber Eats. I was told I should have ordered the small sides of guac and chips if I wanted chips. Since I ordered the larger version of guac, no chips? Food arrived cold. Just awful. I feel so sorry for the hungry people who were looking forward to lunch that was essentially inedible. Restaurant didn't care to make it right just gave me lots of examples of how I could have ordered differently including calling them after I placed the order to make sure I got what I needed. Weird place. read more

Rating Tex Mex gets harder and harder in the DFW While this was better than most hole-in-the-walls, the taste was pretty standard and did the trick. Their portions, especially for their shrimp tacos were very generous. We gotta come back again and give this a proper review. read more

I came here with the kiddos one evening. We ordered bean & cheese tacos, cheeseburger tacos, and their daily special fried shrimp tacos and churros. We found a seat and the servers brought our food out a bit later. Servers were friendly. Inside has tvs and you self server on soda and extra sauces. The food was good.. no complaints. As my daughter would say, good eats. read more

We were hoping this would be our new taco spot by home. What we got: I got 2 mango habenero fish tacos. Though the fish was cooked to perfection, there wasn't much flavor and I ended up having to season my tacos at home and my boyfriend got 2 custom breakfast tacos. He wasn't too big a fan of his tacos because the meat was dry and way underseasoned. The chips and salsa were just okay. Side of beans were overcooked and oddly mushy. The rice was the only thing we agreed was "good". Environment: I stayed in the car while my boyfriend went to pick up our order and he said I would've really liked the trippy Stranger Things lights and old school chair design they had going on inside. Service: Again, I wasn't here for this, but my boyfriend said that the guys working were on top of communicating and even unboxed our order before sending him off to make sure everything was correct. read more

Breakfast burrito. i was craving one the night before i ended up here so i did dyor and determined this is a pretty good spot to try. They were close and they have a robust menu of breakfast options to choose from. I ended up getting the 5 alarm burrito, no beans and added brisket. The burrito was huge. I got two meals out of it, and that's sans the beans mind you! I enjoyed it tremendously, twice. I do wish it had more of a spicy kick to it given it was called 5 alarm burrito. If you're curious, it held up well against the radiation onslaught that my microwave delivered on day 2. I will be back. read more

This place is bland and I had to add jalepenos to feel as though I was eating anything with flavor. The margarita was really tangy and unbalanced. I had only 2 sips and gave up on it. The brisket taco was strangely sweet. And not even bbq sauce sweet. Just a weird flavor. I had a bland chalupa amd once I put salt and jslepemos, I could taste it but I don't want to have to flavor my food to make it work. Fun atmosphere though. It is a pass for me, sadly. read more

It was delivery, but that part was quick. Cold food, no sauce included. I mean what Mexican place doesn't send some salsa at least? The owner reached out which in my mind is a clear indication she cares. That speaks volumes in my mind. read more

I literally live next door to "Taco Joint" Taco Joint has been open for approximately 2-3 months and I was interested to see if they were good or not. The reviews online are mixed. I decided to give them a shot and I regret it. I ordered the 3 ground sirloin taco combo. The ground beef in the tacos was very dry and lacked flavor, the shredded cheese looked like it was literally from a bag of shredded cheese (appears to not be shredded fresh). The "crispy taco shells are baked to a weird "standable" taco form and they are super wide. Way more lettuce and chopped tomatoes added than ground beef. When you eat the crispy taco, it cracks down the middle because of how wide they bake form the crispy taco shells. This is not good. The taco immediately breaks apart. We ordered two ground sirloin taco combos and they were both made this way. The salsa they offer (red/roja) is watered down - very bland. The green/tomatillo salsa is also bland but a little spicy. I would say that Taco Bell has better tasting food and that says a lot. Torchys Tacos would probably be the best option if you want tacos via DoorDash. I will not be ordering from Taco Joint ever again. You are way better off making an Ortega Family Taco Dinner Kit at home or ordering from Torchy's Tacos instead. Also would say this place is overpriced for the substandard food they offer. read more

In the short amount of time that this establishment has been open, I've been continually been impressed how it's gotten better and better! My husband and I got food from here on opening day, and at first we thought it was going to be another local spot to circulate to when we wanted Tex-Amex. With each visit (been here roughly 4 times now) we have noticed the awesome service, cleanliness, and really great quality of food. It's a great addition the the Frisco Food scene. The queso is one of the better apps that I've tried in many Tex-Max spots, the breakfast tacos were some of the best I've had in the area. Service - especially ownership, also deserves a Grace A Status. It's a festive, friendly restaurant with a vast menu. Definitely worth the try if it's on your list! read more

This place is great for a casual taco place. I've had their breakfast burrito and also had a bowl before. Very good food.

Was good, now terrible. Ive had better taco bell. The burrito was awful. The flour tortilla was rubbery and impossible to cut with a plastic fork. The beef was tough and had no flavor. I had this exact menu item 6 weeks ago and it was excellent. Not sure what happened. Done with this place. Service was very good though. read more

Return or not return? Return. Food surprisingly good among a sample of one chicken street taco, one beef, chips and salsa. Issues are minor fixes: - Corn tortilla very very oily/greasy (flavors good); - Atmosphere is depressing. Place (and employees though polite) had no energy (and maybe some music would help); - Warm up salsa vs having it so cold. Aside: I still don't get this obligatory tipping thing! read more

It was a Tuesday and I had no clue what to fix my little guy for breakfast. Suddenly the thought popped in my mind to serve him tacos for breakfast. I had errands to run that morning so I was in a bit of a rush and opted to find the closest taco joint ;) in the direction I was headed. Lucky for me Taco Joint was on the way and on the same side of Main Street I was traveling. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was how clean the dining area looked. That a major plus in my book! I also liked the strings of lights across the ceiling, very pretty and very colorful! A staff member warmly greeted me when I entered. Since I was in a bit of a rush, I asked the clerk how long it would take to fill a small order and she assured me it would only take about 5 minutes or so. I proceeded to place my order of two sausage, egg and cheese tacos, one bean and pico taco, and one bacon, egg and cheese taco along with a bag of chips and a side of queso. As promised my order was quickly filled. To say this place hasn't been opened long, from order to execution everything was very easy and all went smoothly. Now on to the food, the bean and pico taco was loaded with beans, was flavorful and the tortilla was soft and fluffy. Both my boys enjoyed their tacos, no complaints! The chips were light and crispy and the queso was hot, creamy and seasoned to perfection. Overall we had a pretty good visit, definitely worth a second visit to try out some of the other menu items! read more

New spot in Frisco and it didn't disappoint! Lots of options in the menu and affordable. Happy hour prices m-f 3-7pm which was a nice treat. Churros didn't disappoint for dessert but they were hot hot hot. Great place to meet with friends/other families as you order at the counter and there are plenty of tables inside. I decided to try this place because it says that they made their own hardshell tacos which it's very hard to find here in DFW area. I preferred shredded chicken, but they did tell me that they sliced the chicken fajita meat so I opted for that option . I was excited to try since they have homemade hardshell tacos, but unfortunately, it was just mediocre five bucks and some change for single taco which is fair however, that choices of salsa was least to be desired definitely not authentic. I do not see myself coming back, but I did give it a try . read more

Back again after long absence. We have eaten at Plano location since our last visit here. Still at 4 stars for several things. Same napkins as first visit totally inadequate for mess one gets from grilled shrimp taco. Which is my second complaint too messy compared to street taco with beef. Also they have only one type of sweetner for iced tea (pink package). See photo. I prefer one of the other sweetners blue yellow or green. read more

Taco Joint offers Great food, excellent service. Everyone is cordial and can't beat qualIty and price

Ordered a fish taco combo for take out and it comes out as an unseasoned filet, with lettuce and carrots on a tortilla, that's it. Very disappointing, had to season and put more toppings on at home to make it worthwhile. Salsa is bland, chips unimpressive. Service and atmosphere are fine, so a star for that. Won't be back, just going to grab Torchy's or Taco Bell next time and even save some money vs this place read more

Not impressed. First off if you're looking for authentic tacos, this is not your place. Far from authentic street tacos. Try Ale Taco in Lewisville or even the Mexican market in downtown Frisco for authentic tacos. Of course there are many more in the Dallas area. But if you want Tex mex tacos in Frisco even Torchys is better than this place. Overpriced as well read more
