Food needs more flavor. The lobster corn fritters are mostly made of batter. not lobster at all. They serve you a big basket of fried dough.

During our little New Year's trip to the area, we were hoping to get some seafood from Clamman but…read morethey were already closed for the night, so this was our next choice-- and boy, it did not disappoint! We got a huge order-- three piece of fried chicken with wing, thigh and drumstick, as well as the chicken sandwich and fries, mac and cheese side, and an order of hot wings, with an apple pie for dessert. Everything was brought out hot to the car, and they put it right into our trunk, so it was 100% pandemic proof. The fries are really delicious-- nice and thick cut, with good seasoning, the chicken sandwich is TERRIFIC-- nice soft roll, deliciously seasoned and fried chicken, the crisp and slightly sweet bread and butter pickles a perfect complement, and it's not so big that you feel like exploding after (but also-- makes you definitely not want to share!), and of course the chicken itself was nicely done. I was super surprised by how strangely good the wings were, too-- I always like wings, so I was ready to be happy, but these were like... exceptional, and surprisingly big-- really, really MEATY wings. Plus even the carrots and celery and blue cheese that came with were above normal levels of yummy. The only ding to our experience was the apple pie-- it was kind of goopy in an off putting way, like they used that slime from a can of "apple pie filling", so that was sad. But I still gave full stars because I was honestly enthralled by everything else, as was my fiance, so I'd just say maybe skip dessert and enjoy what you should be there for anyway-- the killer chicken.

I guess we should have ordered a burger this being a burger place but the chicken sandwiches were a bit on the dry side. We also got steak tacos which were decent and fries which I would say were pretty good. Nice beer selection. Overall an OK experience but probably would not return.

Refined Dining with Just a Few Misses at Dopo Argento, Southampton…read more Patrizia and I visited Dopo Argento in Southampton for a Sunday afternoon meal around 1 pm. The restaurant wasn't crowded, which made for a calm and enjoyable atmosphere. Starters: We ordered the sourdough bread service (not complimentary), which came with a hummus dip. The bread had a rustic, brick-oven style crust--crispy outside, soft inside--and paired nicely with our appetizer. We then split the Tuna Tartare, which was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. That said, it was served on its own with no chips or crostini, so we ended up using the bread we had ordered. A small touch that would make a big difference. Mains: Patrizia had the Salmon Oreganata. The portion was generous and cooked very well, but it arrived solo on the plate without any sides. We both felt it would shine more with a vegetable or starch--something like spinach, asparagus, or potato. I chose the Paccheri Cacio e Pepe, which was excellent. The pasta was fresh, perfectly al dente, and the sauce had just the right balance of richness and peppery bite. Drinks & Service: We started with two cocktails, then shared a crisp bottle of Italian sparkling water with our meal. Service was warm, efficient, and attentive, adding to the experience. Dessert & Coffee: We finished with the Tiramisu, which was light, fluffy, and not overly sweet, alongside a cappuccino--a perfect close. Overall: Our total came to about $235 for two, and we left a generous tip for the excellent service. We chose to sit indoors since it was too humid outside, but both options are available. We're giving 4 stars because of minor blemishes--the salmon plated all alone, and the tuna tartare lacking an accompaniment. Still, the food was excellent, the vibe relaxed, and the service top-notch. Definitely worth a visit--check it out before the summer ends and see for yourself!.

I came in for happy hour during the week and ordered a bunch of the appetizers that were on special. The focaccia bread with whipped ricotta and honey was outstanding. The bread tastes freshly made and was so fluffy. The baked clams were hearty and delicious, served on a bed of Himalayan sea salt which made the dish feel elevated. The pizza we ordered had an extremely thin crust that was perfectly crunchy and had just the right amount of sauce and cheese on it. Trivia was about to start after happy hour which I wish I had time to stick around for -- it looked like the teams that were forming were some stiff competition. TL;DR - Don't let the fancy atmosphere put you off from trying this place, especially during happy hour!

Our server brought out this delicious focaccia bread with a side of whipped ricotta and honey. The bread was seasoned with herbs and super soft and pillowy. If you do want extra serving of bread you do get charged for it. For drinks they have cocktails, beer and spritzes. We were there just after St. Patrick's Day so they had some drinks and food off the special holiday menu. I got the Captain's punch which was very balanced and fruity. Everything on the menu sounded great it was hard to decide what to get. The host and server both recommended their stone baked pizzas since they said the restaurant was known for it. We decided to grab it as an appetizer. We ordered the basic Neapolitano pizza since my husband isn't super adventurous in taste. It was light, very flavorful and just enough crispness. We ended up saving a couple of slices to take home. For entrees I got the olive oil poached halibut and my husband got the short rib special. We both loved our dishes. It was just the right amount for entrees. The halibut was super flakey, light and flavorful. I liked the earthiness the veggies brought to the dish paired with the delicate halibut. The short ribs were also very good according to my husband. He said that it was super tender and was really good with his mashed potatoes. We also got dessert of their doughnuts that came paired with a sweet caramel sauce and fresh raspberry sauce. The doughnuts were nice and warm, light and airy. It paired well with the sauces. We were so stuffed that we took the rest home as well. I would definitely recommend booking a reservation with them since the restaurant can get packed pretty quickly especially if there are special events going on in the facility. We were lucky that we went when they opened so we got a table right away without reservation. Maybe an hour later there were definitely patrons waiting. Everyone was great from the host to our server. The bathrooms in the inn was also very clean. Thanks for the great meal and hospitality. We would be returning again in the future.

It was a little difficult to find since there are no street signs in the area and the restaurant is kind of hidden behind some large bushes. We finally found it. The parking lot is very small and as a result, they have instituted valet parking. They have done away with paper tickets and you have to use a QR code. When you are getting ready to leave, you can contact the valets and they can have your car ready for you when you come out. We entered the restaurant after squaring away the car and it was early so there was no problem being seated. It is a very pleasant looking space, on the water with seating indoors and outside. It is a great place to watch the sun set over the water. David B..was our server and after setting us up with some water, he took out drink orders [a Corona beer and a Negroni] We began looking over the menu. It is not a vast menu and each food group [meat, seafood, etc.] has limited choices. The appetizer listings have several more options. Wine list is impressive and is by the glass or bottle along with a list of specialty cocktails. . Our drinks arrived and we gave David B. our food order. My friend to the spicy shrimp rigatoni and I ordered the salmon. Our food arrived shortly after. Both meals were delicious. The spicy rigatoni can be made according to your heat level. The salmon was sitting on a bed of 3 boiled potatoes, olives, capers, cherry tomatoes and mashed potatoes with a sprig of rosemary and was cooked to perfection. It flaked away very nicely. My friend got another Corona and I continued to drink the water provided after my Negroni. In terms of caveats, it is pricey [food and drinks] and although we were there for happy hour, there is no per se happy hour menu that we were made away of. It is a large place, clean with more than adequate staffing. I did not use the restroom while I was there so I cannot comment on how well it was maintained. David our waiter, was attentive and accommodating, checking on us periodically to see if we needed anything else. Our table wobbled a bit and they sent someone over the take care of it for us. I would recommend but as the summer season continues-reservations.

We got there when no one else was there, and were told we weren't allowed in the lawn. They were saving it for bigger parties. (This was literally the reason we went) We sat on the deck which was pretty banged up looking. Had to get up out of my seat and go find a waiter to take our drink order. He told me he wasn't allowed to put in an appetizer but he would "do me a favor." The service was slow. And we asked about the Aperol Spritz even that was advertised on Instagram to be happening...and it wasn't and he didn't know about it. We ordered the most expensive things on the menu for meals, and a few drinks. When we went to order another drink after dinner - Our waiter told us no, and that we need to give up the table and go to the lawn. The same lawn, I wasn't allowed on when I got there! When I asked for the manager - he told us no. And went to grab our bill but I said we didn't pay it yet and he threw it on the table and stormed away. Eventually someone else got the manager for us. Her name was Faye. She was unapologetic about the situation and said we were now allowed to have the drinks we asked for, because she had to put people at a different table because we were still sitting. Meanwhile, we were continuously ordering and many tables were open. Everyone was incredibly rude except for the waiter that was training. In the end - the valet (that I didn't want to use in the first place), flew up with my car and ran out. Come to see when I got in, that my tire alert was on and something had been run over while the valet was driving. My tires are $350 just to order. I wasn't happy. You should have to valet because they're certainly not taking responsibility for what happens when they're driving your car. Don't go here. Food is subpar. Everyone says it.

Best decision ever...I loved everything about this restaurant! I liked the overall good feel of the restaurant, great bar and our waiter, Diego was super friendly and accomodating! This is a must have to start off your delicious meal! Next came the burgers...I can honestly say that as far back as I can remember, my burger at Union was the BEST burger I ever had, seriously!! Even tastier than All American which was my former favorite! The flavor, cooked to perfection and the bun made it all perfection! My daughter and her fiance ordered a mac and cheese burger and said it was their new favorite! I ordered the onion rings and they were beer battered, also delicious! Something tells me that there's not one thing you could order here that would not be short of outrageously delicious! I also liked the many options of types of burgers, toppings and bun choices too! Even though we ate a lot of food, we didn't leave with that overeating feeling you can sometimes get! I will absolutely be returning to Union Burger. It may be 45 minutes away from my home but it will be well worth the trip!! 10+++ stars if this was an option!

This place is cute, private, has great good food, and service. Their menu is very small, but I was still having trouble deciding what I wanted to eat for dinner.
