Sides of crispy Brussels sprouts and goat cheese grits
    Lisa M.

Absolutely stunning building in historic downtown serving upscale southern comfort food, what more is there to say? Ok there's a lot. We went for dinner on a weekday night and ordered the tenderloin tips and the pork ossobuco as well as sides of the goat cheese grits and crispy Brussels sprouts. The tenderloin tips were as the name implies very tender and even slightly on the medium side of temperature. The gravy didn't have any significant flavor, but the risotto had an overwhelming rosemary flavor and unfortunately was still a bit crunchy in some parts. The green beans were perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned - I would have had double of those over the risotto. The pork ossobuco was the outstanding item of the night. Fall off the bone tender and succulent and so well seasoned. The risotto suffered the same issues as our other dish but again the green beans brightened things up. The goat cheese grits were as you'd expect, a bit of funk, coarse grits, could have been a bit creamier for my taste. The crispy sprouts were somehow both crispy and moist - when you bit in you got an initial crunch but then a gush of the tangy sauce. I liked them well enough but can't say I'd order them or the grits again. It's both romantic and trendy but quaint and welcoming at the same time. Service is attentive but not overbearing and very welcoming. Aside from the risotto everything else was enough to remind me how good this place is and how much more I need to try on their menu!

Fried Brussels and whipped sweet potatoes

Food: we went to downtown Deland to visit a family member who lived on that side of town and went to dinner at the Table due to menu options. We got the rigatoni and added shrimp, the pork osobuco, and the short ribs. We also got whipped sweet potatoes and fried brussels. The sweet potatoes weren't really whipped though, probably more like mashed. Pros: flavors were fantastic (in my opinion perfectly seasoned but one of the people in my party needed cheese on the pasta), pork was TENDER, shrimp was delicious. the sides were great and enjoyed how they were small portions! Cons: the short ribs was alittle tough, risotto was delicious but not a traditional Arborio rice. Mild mushroom flavors! Service: our server was super busy and was juggling the bar as well! We do wish that she had asked if we would like anything else before she brought our checks, since we took a peak at dessert posted on the hostess stand and they looked fire! We didn't want to seem too needy since we could tell they were getting busy too. Ambiance: decor is nice but overall dusty. The table we sat was by the window and had dust all around the corner, when we opened the silverware dust would fly around. I noticed another table near us with a person constantly sneezing as well. If I lived close, perhaps I would take the food to go next time. But for dine in, the experience was mediocre

Patrick was a very considerate and kind server. I believe he was embarrassed by several mistakes from the kitchen, including the very sad looking Mahi tacos. One person in our party, took one look at the tacos and went back and changed her order to the chicken pot pie. The appetizers of cheese, curds, and salmon crostini's were excellent and the bottomless mimosa was a good deal. It's definitely a very cute place, but this Sunday service was quite slow.

I order the Sea scallops and received Bay Scallops. I sent them back and ordered the Farmers Daughter. In all fairness the Farmers daughter was good

This is my second time at The Table - and I am not impressed. I first tried them for brunch a week ago on a Saturday - they serve it tapas style which is strange - I got their chicken and waffles, shrimp & grits and fried chicken with pepper jelly - the only noteworthy dish was the pepper jelly which paired well with the chicken I decided to try them again and - . I had dinner here tonight - there is a lack in attention to detail - the table they seated me at was wet . I ordered the braised beef with risotto - the beef itself was cooked well with good flavor but the risotto was overcooked to the point where I wondered if it was grits. I ordered a guava margarita And I have yet to taste the margarita - half of the salt was in the drink 1 I couldn't even finish it. I don't think I'll be back again as I'm sure downtown Deland must have better food offerings than this. I was so disappointed I went to the Deland artisan fair and was able to get some really decent food after.

We haven't been here in over 5 years. Surprised to find they've moved down stairs to a dark, cave like room. Maybe at night it has more ambiance, but at lunch it felt dark. Next time we'll opt for their outdoor dining patio. Be aware the stairs are steep. You have to call a number to access the elevator. The old space is only opened Friday-Sunday and is a cocktail/wine bar. The chicken pot pie was delicious as always. Bit enough to share. The chicken and cilantro rice bowl lacked enough cheese sauce to balance the textures. It was dry. I didn't even ask to take home leftovers. Service was slow, but very friendly. We weren't in a hurry so this was fine. Free parking one lot over. Closer parking will cost you.

Cheese curds with ranch and adobo bbq

Service was amazing and food was decent. Everything seemed to need a tad of salt. Highlight of the night was the ranch for the cheese curds. I'm a ranch snob and this was an herbalicious delight. Wasn't a huge fan of the bbq... wasn't quite smoky or spicy enough to distinguish it from ketchup. Brussels are my hubby's fave so when we saw on the menu I knew we needed to split. I liked the main meal we split, meatloaf, mashed taters and green beans. Was a lot of food. We split plus brought some home. Again needed a bit of salt but the veggies were delish! Great ambience and would love to come back to try their salads as they all looked amazing.

    Tenderloin tips

Came in after a campus tour. I am an alumni and really missed Main Street grille but this place was cute. We were greeted and ata outside since nice out. We ordered drinks and apps the pink lady was yummy and not too sweet. Our server was honest and helped us pick our choices. The table tots were yummy and that sauce is delish didn't get a pic cause at so fast. We ordered fried chicken, the pot pie and the Asian tenderloin Tips. The fried chicken was boneless thighs and had great flavor the Mac and cheese was delish. The pot pie looked great and the crust was good. The flavor could have been more pronounced but it was decent. The tips were pretty and very tasty not really fried rice but still good We will def be back!!

We decided to stop in and try The Table again with another couple. What a great time! The menu has something for everyone and the restaurant is just so beautiful inside. They had a nice selection of wines and an interesting cocktail menu. One of us got the Old Fashioned and it was fantastic. Our meals were all delicious! However, the beef tenderloin tips were a bit dry and hard to chew. I would highly recommend trying the beef short rib or pork osso buco if you're looking for some really tender meat. Our waitress was wonderful - we never needed to ask for a refill and she was knowledgeable about the menu.

We didn't even stay after reading the menu and that says everything. They advertise it as a "buffet," but it's completely misleading. You're still paying for protein items if you want seconds, so it's not a true buffet at all. Feels like a bait-and-switch the second you look at the menu. The setup was confusing, the vibe was off, and honestly it didn't feel worth sticking around to figure it out. If you're expecting a traditional buffet experience, this is not it. Save your time and your money go elsewhere!

The waitress was very kind and the desserts looked amazing. However, this place is pretty insignificant in most other areas. The food for the most part is not seasoned... the roast beef was sawdust. The hostess, Paula, oh goodness. I'm not sure why they would want her to be the face of the restaurant. She's rude!! So incredibly unkind. When my Mom asked her what was offered for the kids plates, Paula's response was "Why don't you try sitting down at your table so you can find out from your waitress!" When I brought it up to the waitress she admitted she's very rude and gets a lot of complaints. So strange that they tolerate that.

Lovely Easter Brunch on the Patio…read more We came here for Easter brunch and had a really nice experience. I called about 45 minutes before arriving just to see if there was any chance we could get a table. They mentioned they were only taking reservations that day but were kind enough to squeeze us in for 1:30, which worked out perfectly. Raven was our waitress and she was wonderful. Super welcoming, friendly, and attentive the whole time without ever feeling overbearing. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad and the steak and eggs, and of course we had to order mimosas (two each... because brunch ). Everything came out fresh and tasty. One small personal preference, and this might just be me, but I would have liked the Caesar salad lettuce to be chopped a bit smaller instead of the larger pieces. Not a deal breaker at all, just something I noticed. The steak was cooked well. I wouldn't say it was the best steak I've ever had, but it was definitely good. What really stole the show for me was the chimichurri sauce. I could honestly eat that by itself with the potatoes, it was that good. We sat on the patio and were a little worried it might be too hot, but it was nicely shaded and they have fans going, so it was actually very comfortable. The only time we got a little warm was after our second mimosa... but that might be on us Overall, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be back.

Everything is true farm to table so the menu rotates. But the dishes we had were divine. We split the savory crepe that was an egg crepe with mash potatoes, sausage and a sage brown butter sauce. Other item split were the haute pocket and steak flatbread. You can tell a lot of thought is put into the menu items and blending of flavors. We for sure will return!
