Been here twice and enjoyed it each time. It has a rustic vibe to it which I love, the dining space in the middle seems a bit awkward but it's not terrible. Favorite app are the cheese curds - so crunchy and cheese with great dipping sauces. This last time around more than half the curds didn't have cheese which was disappointing. Also had the tomatoe tarte which was creamy and good. Entree wise the steak is OK, ordered it medium and came back rare so had to get it recooked. The short ribs are amazing! The cauliflower steak was also very good as well as the farmers daughter which is a hodgepodge of veggies. Service is fine and staff is friendly. read more

The Table is a very special experience for any meal you choose! I love the Sunday brunch. After church I like to invite a few friends after service and try out a variety of tapas, which are samples from the main menu. A fantastic idea! The downfall is the potential to eat too much! If you can make reservations for your meal, sometimes it difficult to get a seat unless you're a single person. They serve food at the bar, which is a great experience as well. read more

I came there for my friend's birthday brunch with my daughter. It was a last minute thing and I figured we could have drinks or maybe desert instead of ordering the brunch. The waitress gave me a look like I was crazy. That was the start of the attitude! I ordered bottomless mimosas for $20. We waited quite a while and when I asked her about it she said she thought we would drink out of the other bottle on the table. Why would I do that when that's their bottle? Then we waiting longer for the juice that goes with it. The waitress kept neglecting to come to our end of the table apparently since we didn't want the brunch buffet. When I asked one of the girls that brought food to the other people at our table if she could bring this to us, she visibly sneered at me and said you will have to find your waitress for that! I'm not knocking the food here because I have been here before and the food was actually pretty good! But the way I was treated was appalling. When I told her I would pay for the table she looked shocked and said you better see the bill first. The attitude given gave me the impression that she thought I could not afford it! I paid the bill and left after only 2 glasses of champagne being drank and quite a bad taste being left in my mouth due to the staff! read more

My friends and I take an annual trip to Deland and we practically eat here everyday it's that good! From cocktails to entrees they never disappoint have yet to try a dish I didn't enjoy. They offer a brunch on Sundays which is pretty good but you need to make sure to get reservations before going. Family tip: spacious enough for stroller but there is no changing table. read more

Entering the restaurant it has a nice ambiance, the menu has some interesting ingredients and pairings for plates and sandwiches. When reading the ingredients you have a sense in your brain that there may be an actual culinary chef back there. I ordered the filet Mignon cooked medium , it came with smashed red potatoes, grilled broccolini and a hard disc of butter that wasn't melting on the filet. The potatoes sat on a demi-glaze that tastes of Marsala. Unfortunately the filet was butterflied and over cooked. When I made the bartender/server aware they asked if I'd like another one cooked but as I had already waited so long for my meal I was pressed for time to wait another 15 minutes for just a piece of meat. The potatoes were nothing special, the sauce was very tasty, the broccolini was flavorless and did nothing to help the plate. I tried to eat the filet with ketchup or A-1 but it was too dry and that nasty flavor from over done meat was too prevalent. I was offered a dessert but I am not a sweets kind of person. They gave me the bill and discounted the meal by $6. So I paid $22+ for mashed potatoes and bland broccolini. This was at 3:45 in the afternoon so maybe they did not have the right kitchen staff but this was not worth the money and did not reflect any of the reviews I've read prior to entering this establishment. I would have tried again during evening hours on another day, but as they were so hard up for the money I don't feel I can potentially waste anymore on this place. Idk how this place isn't 5 stars across the board! We came for the Sunday brunch buffet (didn't know you need reservations) but they had open seats at the bar. The buffet was loaded with steak, fish, fruit, omelet griddle, lobster Mac n cheese, a giant chocolate fountain with fruit to dip, cheese cake, and your basics like eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Disappointed! Came for breakfast but the meal wasn't adequate! Ordered pancakes and received one (1) crepé ($3) Had to order Bacon ($3) on the side! All was cold! My other party guest had two eggs ($3), bacon ($3) and toast ($2) (hard, dry) butter was frozen, unable to spread on cold food). We both had coffee ($3 x 2). (No water) Have to ask for every little thing and then they charge you for it. Bill came to $20. Not worth it! Seems 'presentation' is more important than quantity! Can't rate higher than 2 stars! Well, it looks as though poor service has its fair share of numbers here. We, unfortunately, experienced the same. The wife and I choose 'The Table' as our choice for their Mother's Day brunch. A mistake we won't make again, for any day. Sitting outside we watched as several tables around us, who also had their order taken at the same time as ours receive their drinks and, food. One table next to us who we were having a conversation with actually received their drinks, food, and check and left while we still only had a portion of our drink order. And even that came over a period of time and in piecemeal. Our drink order was a coffee with cream and sugar, a Bloody Mary, and two glasses of water. Long wait, the waters show, nothing else, then the coffee, no sugar-no cream no flatware no Bloody Mary. To be fair, the sugar, cream, and flatware did come quickly afterward. Longish wait again and our side orders of sausage & bacon arrived long before the main dishes. Both very overcooked. I know this may be taken as an exaggeration, but the sausages looked more in line with two burnt embers than anything food-like and on top of that, were served on a small plate with two very noticeable broken/chipped edges. We said nothing, at this point, we were looking to just get our order and get out of there. At this time our phantom of a waiter, on his own, we didn't ask, was telling us for the third time "our order was coming right out". Lets be honest, if that was even close to being true, why would they have to tell us on three extended, separate occasions?? At this point, my wife, who is slow to being impatient, asked to see a manager. A young lady, whose attire could be described as a half step above a homeless person, shows up and with an attitude saying 'I hear you want to speak to me', my wife calmly and in nothing more than a normal talking tone starts to explain about the lack of service we received compared to the other tables around us, and is then cut off in mid-sentence by this manager, who says with even more attitude... "I know where this is going. I'll give you the comp you're looking for", then turns and walks away. Never giving us a chance to explain that we were not looking for a comp. but just to intervene and see that we receive the same level of service others were getting. She clearly was agitated and in way over her head with the Mother's Day traffic. As far as being comp'd, never wanted it, never so much as alluded to it, we actually asked our waiter for our check and he replied your all set. With the non-existent service and the attitude, (we never said anything bad at any time), I feel its fair to tell that so-called manager that she can stick her comp where the sun doesn't shine. We understand how increased holiday traffic can be hectic but given what had happened for no good reason with the manager, going forward, we would never give The Table even a consideration. read more

I went to this restaurant before Covid was really out of control, so I cannot base my experience on the current situation with social distancing. That being said, this place is an incredible dining experience, right in the heart of downtown DeLand. I went here with my three year old daughter and her grandparents and aunt. My daughters aunt is in a wheel chair and we had no problem getting her inside and situated comfortable at a table, which was really nice since a lot of places are not completely required for handicapped people. It was also really pleasant to find the restaurant child friendly. My daughter was two at the time and she was able to run around our table and play on the (clean!) floor beside me as we dined without bothering any of the folks seated nearby. There is plenty of space between tables and the hostess seemed to seat people as far from one another as possible. We came to the Table for brunch and everything about our visit -- including the staff, the vibes and, of course, the food -- was exceptional. We were able to walk up to the buffet and choose from a variety of breakfast and lunch options including fried chicken, southern biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, grits, oatmeal, ham, bacon, sausage, bread and jam, toast, and an entire array of other options. There was also a table set up with croissants and cinnamon rolls, eclairs, pastries -- even a chocolate fountain surrounded by fruit, cake bites, doughnut bites and other delicacies. All of this was delicious, but my favorite station was the one I didn't notice right away; at the front of the restaurant there is a cooktop stove behind a little table where a cook was making omelettes and pancakes to order. I was able to walk up and order custom pancakes with add-ins ranging from chocolate chips to bananas or a custom egg dish (omelette, scrambled, etc.) with basically any veggie I could imagine plus a wide variety of cheeses. I ended up with a huge chocolate chip pancake for myself and my little girl to share, which she absolutely loves and remembers to this day (a year later)! The staff of waiters and waitresses was incredibly friendly and committed to making sure we had top notch service, which they definitely delivered. We all left full and happy, talking about how we couldn't wait to come back again. I would (and have!) absolutely recommend this place to friends and family. My concern at this time would be the butter, considering the social distancing situation at this time. This was one of my favorite aspects of The Table, but the food was good enough that I'd probably give it a chance even without this being an option. If you're in DeLand and want to check out the downtown area, I'd definitely recommend starting your day with a visit to The Table, which is right in the midst of the best downtown DeLand has to offer. You can stop in for a breakfast or brunch filled with plenty of healthy, fresh and gluten free/vegetarian/diet friendly options and walk out and continue on with a day of shopping or sight seeing in the beautiful city of DeLand. Plus, exploring the family friendly downtown area is a great way to burn off the excess calories you're bound to consume at this delicious restaurant; i mean, who can avoid a chocolate fountain?! read more

The worst Sunday Brunch! I can't think of one thing good!! All the food was cold and poor very poor selection. I never thought pancakes or omelets could be ruin. I can't tell you one thing that was good . We were told &15.00 included drink but the bill was $ 18.00 each! I can think of so many places to spend $38.00 for two! They did not have the equipment to keep things warm. We should have look first at buffet before being seated. Service was terrible! The staff had more fun talking at the bar and had to wait for the guy to return and cook a omelet. Never at his station. I wish I had taken a photo to show how bad! The waitress also was in tears for some reason and had to find someone to run our credit card. Love the relax feeling eating alfresco here! Soothing sound of a waterfall over a mural. There was hardly anyone here (we went around 3 PM) so it was nice and we were socially distanced. First time eating outside in the restaurant in over a year! And this place did not disappoint. I got the fried green tomatoes with goat cheese and they were delicious. A little on the thin side but still good. My husband got the mahi sandwich which he loved and the potato french fries were cut in a unique way we've never seen before. They were so delicious! Also got the guava Collins and raspberry where is Mary drinks and they were perfect. Not too sweet, not weak. They did seem perhaps a little understaffed at the time. We did wait a little longer than necessary to place our order and receive our food considering there was hardly anyone there. But I would definitely go back again especially for the ambience. If you want to overpay for lackluster food where no one's food will be correct, the waitress argues with you about your order that is 100% wrong & your food has a hair in it and slow service, a waitress with an attitude then is the place to go! So many things went wrong I don't even know where to begin. All I can say is NO ONE in our party will ever return. The Table failed in every single aspect. Water took 15 minutes to deliver. Drinks another 20 and not made right with glass not even 3/4 full We ordered 2 appetizers. 1 came out 1 was forgotten & Blamed on the kitchen. Salads were warm and 1 was incorrect and when we told the waitress she argued with us and was going to charge us for the correct salad. Chicken caprese was cold and undercooked Heirloom tomatoes were plain old tomatoes, not heirloom as stated on menu. The mushroom pasta was all pasta and pan gravy was pan water. Barely any mushrooms and literally gravy water. I will say the chicken pot pie was delicious Mahi mahi was a bland small with a tiny scoop of quinoa for a high price No one mind's paying for quality food and good service Nothing about this meal had anything good or quality about it. Went to The Table for a group brunch on Sunday at 11 without 8 friends. I really liked the environment and was greeted by our server upon arrival. While the brunch buffet was decent, the omelet bar left a lot to be desired only because of how it was being administered. The way it works is that you write down on a little checklist sheet what you want in your omelet and hand it to the 'maker'. When your omelet is done he sits it on the table for you to pick up once you realize it's ready. After getting back to our table, it did take a few minutes for it to be ready and fortunately i "found' mine sitting on the edge of the omelet table (no sneeze guard - ewww) with everyone elses. While the flavor was decent, it was very dry and brown/overdone so it was quite the disappointment. The bottomless mimosas were not good at all - if it really was champagne, it wasn't remotely good. The Bloody Mary was decent. Unfortunately being a buffet, it appeared as if the server felt she didn't need to be very attentive. When we needed drinks, or almost anything, we had to go find her which most of the time she was chatting behind the bar with other employees. I hear the food is normally very good, but I probably will not be revisiting since it took over 45 minutes to get there let alone the disappointments I experienced. read more

Well, I'd love to say that we tried the food but our reservation for a table for 6 was met with a high top for 6 because other large parties came in and they gave our table away. If you require a selection of high top or regular table when you make your reservation on OpenTable you should stand by that. It doesn't sound like a big deal but the high top tables are small and the chairs are very uncomfortable. Talked to manager or whoever and was met with a "there's nothing we can do" attitude. Asked for some free drinks or something to make up for it and was told "I don't think we can do anything but I'll check." Hit up the enless Sunday brunch (no longer a buffet since COVID-19). I still a dairy-free lifestyle and was a little disappointed when I saw cheese or butter in almost every dish. I've come to expect this, so I was like whatever. I asked the waiter what dairy could be removed. He went and spoke to the chef. He then brought me out a menu with all the dairy-free options that could be made for me. I was so happy!!
