Great bar. Staff were very nice and the Guinness was cold and yummy. Smoking inside was a plus as well. Will be back.

Cafe DaVinci in downtown DeLand (112 W Georgia Ave) is hands-down my favorite spot for live music,…read moredrinks, and good vibes in Volusia County--I've been going for years, and it never disappoints. This place has such a unique, eclectic energy that's hard to find anywhere else: a perfect mix of cozy indoor bar, open-air courtyard with string lights and a massive lighted oak tree that gives it this magical, almost enchanted garden feel at night. It's got that laid-back, artsy DeLand charm but with enough edge to keep things exciting--think market lights twinkling overhead, pool tables outside, and a crowd that's always friendly and ready to have fun. The live music is what really sets it apart. They host original local bands, cover acts, rock, pop, R&B, throwback tunes, and everything in between almost every night--concerts start around 9 PM, and the energy ramps up fast. I've seen everything from killer rock bands to dance-floor fillers that get the whole place moving. And yes, people actually dance here! The courtyard turns into a real dance floor on busy nights--whether it's grooving to 70s classics, current hits, or feel-good empowerment anthems, it's impossible not to get pulled in. No stiff vibes; it's all about letting loose and enjoying the moment. The drinks are strong, reasonably priced (coldest beer in town, as they claim), and the bar staff is top-notch--super friendly, quick, attentive, and genuinely nice. Bartenders like Zach and the rest of the crew remember faces, crack jokes, make killer cocktails, and keep the good times flowing without ever making you feel rushed. The owner and team create this welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like a regular, even on your first visit. Whether you're coming solo to catch a show, with friends for a night out, or just want a spot to chill with great music in the background, Cafe DaVinci delivers. It's more than a bar--it's DeLand's best original live music venue where you can drink local, dance local, and make memories. If you're in the area, especially on a Friday or Saturday, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it--I've recommended it to everyone I know, and they all come back raving. Keep rocking, Cafe DaVinci team! 1computeroutlet , 1websitenow

Abbey Bar is located in Deland, we recently visited with some friends who live closer to the area…read more This was quite the drive for us in Winter Garden, so I don't think it would be a place we would go a lot but we did enjoy our time there. This will definitely be a place to go when we visit our friends. This is what the name implies, a bar, nothing else. They have tables, seating at the bar and high-top tables. They have a few food options, mostly appetizers with a few sandwiches and quesadillas. We did not get any food since we had just eaten dinner. Apparently, their cowboy candy is the most popular item, its candied jalapenos over cream cheese with crackers. Maybe next time. They do sell bottle beer; it is really what most of the alcohol consists of. They do have their menu divided into categories so if you know what you are looking for it helps. They also have draft beer which rotates throughout the year, so there might be something new on the menu. I personally am not a huge fan of specialty beer like sours, and porters, but my husband is so he really enjoyed looking through the different options. I honestly cannot remember the two beer my husband tried but I know one had a really high ABV and the other one was really sour. He seemed to enjoy both, so I guess that's good. I choose to get a glass of wine instead. They have only a few wine options but also have mead. I have never had it before, but our friends were very much fans of it. The wine selection is small, but I just went with a Moscato. All in all, this is a fine bar if you are in the area. I would say if you were not a beer fan this might not be for you. They do not make any liquor style drinks only beer and wine. All in all, not bad, we would for sure go back when visiting friends in the area.

The vibe is laid-back, the service is friendly, and the food is the real reason I keep coming back. First off, the **oysters** are the star of the show. They have **so many different ways to order them**, which makes it fun because you can switch it up depending on what you're craving. Whether you want them classic, dressed up, or with more flavor and heat, there's always an option that feels like the right move. And then there are the **wings** -- seriously underrated. My favorite is the **mango habanero** flavor. It's got that perfect balance where you get the sweet first, then the heat kicks in and keeps it interesting without being overpowering. Crispy, saucy, and consistent every time. Don't sleep on the **burgers** either. They're filling, well-seasoned, and cooked right -- the kind of burger you actually remember after you leave. Everything comes out hot, the portions are solid, and the quality feels like they take pride in what they serve. If you're in Orange City and want a place with great oysters, killer wings, and a burger that doesn't disappoint, **The Oyster Bar** is absolutely worth stopping in for.

The fries were cooked to perfection so were the shrimps. French ave fries this dish is topped with chicken (grilled, blackened or fried) with cheese, bacon, lettuce etc...we tried blackened which was as good as I expected it to be. Next time we will definitely do fried :) Energy was great, service was excellent. We will definitely come back on a Tuesday or other weekday where they have specials and deals!!!!

It's not unlike the bars I grew up in - the old vinyl swivel chairs lining the bar, with a stack of glass ashtrays stacked off to the side, two pool tables with a few locals creeping around chalking their 5 piece pool cues looking for a pickup game, smoke filled and dark. We grabbed a table near the back door and the bartenders brought over a few sweating glass bottles of LandShark stuffed with lime wedges, she was friendly and attentive. There were a few small groups scattered around the bar BS'ing and slamming shots along side their chilled glasses of cheap draft. You could tell by the conversation some of these guys have been telling the same stories for years to the same group of friends and often loud enough to be heard by a few strangers like me - it seems the first liar doesn't stand a chance. Although I've been passing this bar for years this was my first time stopping in but it definitely won't be my last, they used to call these working man bars, today I'd say that could be somewhat true but I think some of the patrons probably open this bar and few others close it everyday - there were a few philosophers at the bar giving advice to whomever would listen, even if the sky was falling you wouldn't be able to tell inside here. It's definitely a bar that makes what you think is your last beer isn't always your last beer...
