The Abbey located in Deland, specializes in Craft Beer from Florida, across the US and the World. In addition to a changing menu of Beer, they have Wines, and Creative Meads. The Abbey does offer food listed in 3 categories; Lighter Fare, Quesadillas and Paninis. * Lighter Fare: - Abbey Caprese:(Sliced fresh Mozzarella & Tomato topped with Pesto Olive Oil and Balsamic); - Mediterranean Plate: (Two cheeses, olives, pepperoncini, craisins, & hummus with pita); - Pork Rind Basket; - Chips and Salsa; Pretzel ( with beer cheese or mustard); Hummus Plate with Grilled Pita; - Cowboy Candy: (Candied Jalapenos over cream cheese and served with crackers) * Quesadillas: - The Plain Jane( just cheese); - A Pizza My Heart( Pizza Sauce, Mozzarella, Pepperoni); - The Spanish Inquisition( Pork, Candied Jalapenos, Mozzarella, Onions); - Quesaclub (Chicken, Ham, Bacon, & swiss served w/ raspberry jam); - The Blair (Chicken, cheddar cheese, & salsa); * Paninis: - Bruschetta Grilled Cheese( Mozzarella, Pesto and Marinara); - Abbey Signature Grilled Cheese (A blend of Cheeses and Candied Jalapenos); Abbey Cuban (Pulled pork, ham, mustard, pickle, and swiss cheese) We didn't get any food because we had just eaten at Half Wall, and walked over to the Abbey. As far as the alcohol they have 76 craft beers ranging from Belgian, Abbey Ales, Blonde, Reds, Browns,Farmhouse & Sours, Fruit & Spice, IPA,Pale Ales Lagers, Pilsners, Porters, Stouts, Strong Ale, Wheat Beer; *12 Meads and Ciders: Meridian Hive Blueberry Lemonade, Meridian Hive Blackberry, Superstition Dune Bloom, Warhammer Sun Goddess, Warhammer Potion of Darkness, Angry Orchard Crisp Apple, Schilling Grapefruit and Chill, Original Sin Pear, Ciderboys Strawberry Magic, Cigar City Homemade Apple Pie, B. Nektar Zombie Killer, Dansk Mjod Viking Blod; * 15 Wines: Heinz Eifel Shine Dornfelder, Abbe Signature Sangria, Borsao Rose, Annabella Chardonnay, Borsao Garnacha, Zenato Pinot Grigio, Zardetto Prosecco Brut, Stella Moscato, One Stone Cabernet Sauvignon, Mad Fish Shiraz, Grayson Merlot, Ghostrunner Ungrafted Red... I actually don't remember what I got to drink lol. I was buzzed from Half Wall. I remember the bartender gave me what he though was delicious. This was quite the drive for us in Winter Garden, so I don't think it would be a place we would go a lot but we did enjoy our time there. This will definitely be a place to go when we visit our friends. Great atmosphere, good music.

We were here for dinner after an afternoon at the DeLand original music festival (22nd annual). We had never eaten here before. I somehow managed to completely forgot to take pictures until afterwards. I can strongly recommend the Medittarean platter. It has lots of items and even with 4 of us sharing it, there was some leftover. 2 people also had the cowboy candy (candied jalapeños and cream cheese). For entrees, they all had the grilled cheese sandwiches and I had a quesadilla. It was the one with chicken, bacon and cheese. It was a nice big one and I had some to home to eat for lunch, but if I hadn't had apps. I would have eaten it all. Overall, this is a great, full liquor, beer, wine and mead bar.

It's the menu to enjoy all the wonderful drinks you can have!

Enjoyed the Abbey bar with some friends and it was nice to have some sour beers. Also ordered the Warhammer potion of darkness and it was delicious. I always love going to this bar because of its always busy and the people working there are knowledgeable and helpful.. Definitely a main stay when heading to Deland to enjoy a weekend night.. It's a very comfortable environment and also pet friendly and I can't wait to bring my pup with us the next time we get to go.. I absolutely recommend the Abbey Bar for anyone who wants to enjoy variety in beverages and there is constant change and makes every time seem like a new experience..

Nice little bar tucked away in downtown DeLand. They feature a wide variety of Mead, along with a handful of Belgians (some Trappist, so yay!) they have Orval, which is one of my favorites. They also have a good selection of canned craft beer. There's a TouchTunes, so do with that info as you please haha.

    The monks had it right.

Cool place. Not just Meads, they have beer on tap as well. They had one of my fave's... a Wicked Weed Pernicious IPA. My cohorts tried a flight of Meads and liked most of them. Inside ambience is nice. A few tables out front on the sidewalk. And the staff are friendly. Worth a visit.

We stopped here on our way to Ocala. Nice vibe, I was disappointed that there were no Belgians on draft when I visited. Would still go back next time We go to Ocala.

We have come to the Abbey a few times and always a great experience. You can choose to sit at the bar or any of the high top tables or couch areas. It's a smaller bar but has a good atmosphere and feel to it. We were greeted right away and offered menus. The menus have a lot to choose from from Meads, wines and beer. It's well know as a Mead bar so I highly recommend trying one of the locally brewed Meads. I had the Birthday Cake Mead and it was very smooth and delicious. We only had time for one drink as we had dinner reservations but we will definitely make this a frequent spot to visit! For this who smoke cigars they have those too.

While some of the items are brilliant like the candied bacon or the dagwood BLT most of the menu's just alright or fairly pedestrian. Also find it odd they don't do "hot" hot sauce to avoid from having customers sending it back, that's what they say anyway. So they suck when they're busy. They're willing to live with only one waitress on an at capacity floor without the management helping out themselves or calling for help; seen this happen multiple times when they really needed help lasting hours. Wears the server ragged and causes all kinds of unnecessary aggro. Ruins the energy of the place and kills my mojo ...as if I had any but whatever. It's can be a real mess. Lost orders, argumentative waitresses, and customers free to door dash. Why wait over thirty minutes for a check? Would never come for the food alone. I'm here only as a consequence to playing the parimutuels and that's that and when I see they're busy, I know they're going to suck. Prolly seen over a hundred movies here when this was Movies at Marketplace. lol

Cafe DaVinci in downtown DeLand (112 W Georgia Ave) is hands-down my favorite spot for live music,…read moredrinks, and good vibes in Volusia County--I've been going for years, and it never disappoints. This place has such a unique, eclectic energy that's hard to find anywhere else: a perfect mix of cozy indoor bar, open-air courtyard with string lights and a massive lighted oak tree that gives it this magical, almost enchanted garden feel at night. It's got that laid-back, artsy DeLand charm but with enough edge to keep things exciting--think market lights twinkling overhead, pool tables outside, and a crowd that's always friendly and ready to have fun. The live music is what really sets it apart. They host original local bands, cover acts, rock, pop, R&B, throwback tunes, and everything in between almost every night--concerts start around 9 PM, and the energy ramps up fast. I've seen everything from killer rock bands to dance-floor fillers that get the whole place moving. And yes, people actually dance here! The courtyard turns into a real dance floor on busy nights--whether it's grooving to 70s classics, current hits, or feel-good empowerment anthems, it's impossible not to get pulled in. No stiff vibes; it's all about letting loose and enjoying the moment. The drinks are strong, reasonably priced (coldest beer in town, as they claim), and the bar staff is top-notch--super friendly, quick, attentive, and genuinely nice. Bartenders like Zach and the rest of the crew remember faces, crack jokes, make killer cocktails, and keep the good times flowing without ever making you feel rushed. The owner and team create this welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like a regular, even on your first visit. Whether you're coming solo to catch a show, with friends for a night out, or just want a spot to chill with great music in the background, Cafe DaVinci delivers. It's more than a bar--it's DeLand's best original live music venue where you can drink local, dance local, and make memories. If you're in the area, especially on a Friday or Saturday, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it--I've recommended it to everyone I know, and they all come back raving.
