Amazing! We sat outside and it was beautiful. Was attended to In a timely matter. We have the chicken and waffles, loco mocos, omelet, two bowls of fruits, nitro brew coffee, mocha and hot coffee. My husband and I have wanted to come here since they opened. Friends raved about it. We had the spicy salmon poke and the korean loco moco...awesome! Pepper cab wine was delicious. It was so disappointing, the food was ok, I would stay away from the Korean Moco Loco, the rice is overdone and uncooked all together but the worse part was the service. We felt the 4!different people that tend to us we're doing us a favor serving us. It felt rushed and we hardly saw a server while we were there .The only server that was friendly was the person who picked up our check. A super nice young African American woman who cares to ask us about our experience and if we needed anything else. Maybe there were short staffed but overall I would never go back there again. Went for taro chips and cheese sauce - sauce was good, most if the chips were crispy - few at the end were soggy. Portion - waaay too small for the price. Also had the Spam/Mac - spicy with more bacon flavor than anything else; couldn't find the Soam (looked like only tiny bits). It was a miss for me. Would I come back to try the mains? Maybe. Shared a plate and got a bowl of fresh fruit instead of salad. Food came hot and timely but the chips were way too peppery though plentiful. 3 small pieces of fish tasted good but batter was soggy. Ugh. There was barely any coleslaw which I was really looking forward to. Cokes were watery and to top it off our table outside was on a busy noisy stinky road. Feeling heavy and greasy for 40 bucks. Sooooo, this was my second visit and equally as underwhelming unfortunately. The first time, my friend ordered the lobster guacamole, and for $13 was very small with barely any lobster flavor at all. She was disappointed. I ordered the pillbox cocktail, which was delicious, but small and seemed to have zero alcohol for $11. She forgot to charge for the drink so had to redo the bill. Gave it another shot tonight with the hubby- the loco moco had an odd taste, and they forgot the salmon side dish. I didn't eat much of either as it just wasn't very good, hubby agreed- usually he'll finish what I can't eat, but not in this case. His burger and fries were good although the burger was well done and dry, not medium as she said they were. She charged regular price for the beer instead of the happy hour price, so she had to redo the bill. read more

I'm going with four only because of the service. I called a head and was told my name was on a list for a table in approximately 20 minutes for three people. Arrived on time and hostess said there's no list - what are you talking about? Explained I spoke to a gentleman. Finally found the fellow and since there were no tables available seated at the bar. Where we sat ignored by the bartender and servers for 15 minutes. The bartender was very attentive to the couple next to us and the table seated after us(a 2 top) when I asked him he said the table had priority. He asked if we were waiting for a table and by this time my friends were thinking of leaving. We got our wine finally and a table quickly followed. The food was everything we'd heard about. Delicious Bulgogi lettuce wraps. Wonderful chicken sandwich Korean style and we met nice people in the cozy setting. Let the servers pour a glass of wine to thirsty guests at the bar if the head bartender is too busy. Just do a tad better training staff to be attentive. I don't have anything but nice words to say about this place. TLDR version is:exceptional food, exceptional staff, exceptional decor and vibe. We rocked up at 8pm on Easter Sunday not realising most places in town were already shut. We knew nothing about The Switchboard and were delighted to see they had great options for gluten free and vegan (as well as their standard menu). We then realised they were supposed to shut at 8pm... the restaurant and staff were clearly run off their feet, there was nothing else but fast good open. I popped inside and asked the guy behind the bar if they would still be able to take our order if we did take out. He was so generous and said of course he would, he couldn't let us go hungry. So we had a drink while we waited for our food. And the incredible staff were delightful to us and those around us. We took the food home and were impressed by the delicious flavours of this Korean/Hawaiian fusion. We were leaving town the next day but I will be back next time we pass through. Incredibly grateful to the kind team who kept us fed and happy even when they were exhausted and could have done without another order when they were supposed to be closed. This place was awesome! Stopped by here on a whim while passing by looking for a place with patio seating. They have a decent amount of tables outside, and there inside is super cute. The food was perfect. Growing up in Hawaii it's nice to find a good Hawaiian style restaurant. The chicken katsu was perfectly cooked, and the char-su as so good. I called to try to make a reservation but was met with a very rude male voice on the other end clearly respond to my call with "what the f*** you want"? They then immediately hung up the phone and I was left very confused and offended. He took the phone from the female and stated "no reservations!" and hung up the phone AGAIN. This is the worst service I've ever encountered without even having to visit the restaurant.
