This place is a real hidden gem. I would likely rate it 4.5 stars if able only due to how close together the tables are mashed in to the place. It is not just a tight walk, but feels like you are literally sitting on top of the people at the next table sometimes. That aside, come to this place first for the bourbon. An expansive list by any measure with some great pours of bottles you can not easily get your hands on. Pricing might be shocking to some, but the prices are super reasonable for near impossible bourbons to find. Food. Have not had a bad meal there yet. Even the Impossible Burger (which can be super hit or miss at many establishments) was well prepared and tasted great. Fish fry is excellent also. Tacos were a real surprise too. All in all, it looks like your typical roadside bar/grill, but inside you will find great food and exceptional drink. read more

I had visited this building when it was a pub with pub fare and wondered if the buzz around the new place was due more to a strong social media game than the food. After our first visit, I knew it was the food earning the attention. My favorite meal here starts with a beer and the bang bang shrimp appetizer. I've ordered the shrimp tacos for the entree a couple of times now and been very happy. With the citrus slaw, avocado, chipotle sauce and other fixins, the presentation is so nice I had to include a pic. The variety of colors on the plate well represents the flavors. I've heard a lot about the sweet chili cauliflower appetizer. I was dubious but tried it and I really liked it. My husband did not share my enthusiasm. More for me. Went here for a friend's birthday. Ate outside because of COVID and also because the kids can be loud. They weren't as loud as the bikers popping the occasional wheelie going past, but who doesn't like a show? Lots of people ate inside though, and the staff didn't have masks. Anyhow, got the beyond burger. Asked for the pretzel bun to avoid the egg in the brioche, and without the creamy sauce. I think the bun still was toasted with butter, but it was too late to ask, and I was glad to have something atleast mostly vegan. Otherwise tasted fine. The Stillery fries were fantastic, varying in thickness from steak fries down to almost potato chips. The sweet potato fries were in the standard shape but good. The bourbon and whiskey selection is fairly large, so that made folks happy. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, and the birthday-haver got a card and a free shirt. Service was decent, they seemed busy so a few things got missed but they always got fixed right away. Overall not bad for a former cat house. Not sure I'll go out of my way to go here again, but I still had an enjoyable time. read more

In WI visiting family and friends and heard really great things about The Stillery and was still blown away. The food and the service were excellent. We had 3 people in our party and got the Wisconsin spinach dip with chips, and split the cuban sandwich and the ultimate Wisconsin grilled cheese. Both sandwiches were amazing. The bread was super fresh and is either homemade or from a very good local bakery. The fries that came with the sandwich were unique, 1/2 way between a thick and thin cut fry but shaped more like scooping chips. Great overall experience on a Saturday afternoon, it was starting to get more crowded when we left right about 1:30. read more

The Stillery was a great meeting point to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. We had 6 people on a Sunday around noon. We decided to start with a bunch of appetizers. They were all excellent. We had Stillery Fries, Cuban Rolls, Bang bang shrimp, sweet chili cauliflower and cheese curds. Really good flavor in all of them. The staff was very friendly and all servers wore masks. Tables were spaced appropriately apart. Overall a great experience. We will be back again. read more

I came here last week with my family, visiting from out of town. Drinks were great, I had a bourbon smash that I highly recommend; my dad and brother loved their bloody mary's. Two delicious and pleasant visits thus far with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Always a warm welcome from staff. Each server has been delightful, astute, prompt, forward thinking -all refreshing attributes. Pizza is is a sure bet especially the gluten free which is also homemade. In-laws have ordered the wings both times. Old Fashion is spot on and the chaser is a cherished bonus. Lots more to share but limited with time and memory. Can't go wrong with this gem. This place is great! We went to Cabellas and this gem came up on Yelp!!! Only 3 minutes from the highway. Amazing atmosphere, Jay, you play it right! Even the other patrons are ridiculously nice. Food was outstanding and the drink options were plentiful (Peanut butter and Jelly Old Fashion) was insanity good. We are not from the area but will make our way back some day. I stopped here on a random Saturday afternoon and I am glad I did. It was myself, my husband and our three young kids. We were seated quickly in the socially distanced dining room. The atmosphere was cozy and quaint and decorated in a tasteful manner. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with fries and my husband had a burger with beer cheese on it. The fries were seasoned and delicious and the burger/chicken was moist and delicious. Our server was attentive and very on top of things. All around it was an enjoyable meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Decided to go to dinner the The Stillery tonight.....got there about 640 and they were a bit busy. Was told 20-30 minute wait which was not a problem. Went to the bar and before we could get our drinks the hostess said she had a table for us! We were seated at 650pm. Looked over the menu while sipping out Mules (which were EXCELLENT). We decided on appetizers and entrees and waited for the waitress and waited......it is now 723 and I am writing this from the car in our way to a different restaurant.....no one acknowledged us even though the waitress was serving and cleaning all the tables around and as we left all the servers were standing around the hostess station chit chatting. Bartenders were super great and drinks were delicious. Would definitely go for drinks again but probably won't try food again....disappointed as was really looking forward to trying it! This place is off to a great start! My wife and I went there with our 21 month old son on a Friday night. It was busy and we had a short wait, but while we were entertaining my son, the owner came up, asked if he liked apples and gave him some as a snack while we waited. Once seated, my wife and I both got the fish fry and a couple beers and we got our son the Mac and cheese (which he loved). I love me some whiskey and they have a great list to choose from, but had to save the tasting for another time. Food was great, nice breading and flaked apart easily, but it wasn't super greasy. My wife got fries as her side and they were done differently then we've ever seen them; almost like a potato chip, but a little less crunchy. In any case, my wife said they were probably the best fries she's ever had and I'd have to agree. Overall it was a great experience. Good food, drink and atmosphere. If you enjoy top notch bourbons and other liquors, craft cocktails, great burgers and apps, this is the place. Wait staff were super friendly, quick with drinks and refills. My food was cooked perfectly to order and portions were large. Dessert menu is limited but you have to try them. The only drawbacks are the extreme noise and the crowds.
