A very fun bar that is located around Arcadia! For first timers like me, I had a hard time finding the location because I didnt see any signs at the front but its actually located right next to Bank of America and Shawn Cafe. I must say, I was very impressed! Its a nice dive bar that serves cheap and affordable drinks! It gets busy from time to time which is expected. Very friendly staff as well. Theres plenty of things to do here! You can play pool table, darts and a juke box as well! The locals around here seemed very nice and friendly which is a huge plus for me! Their happy hour starts from 4pm-7pm. You cant get any cheaper from that! I would definitely come back here from time to time! It's actually one of favorite bars now on the SGV area! read more

So I ended up at this joint with some friends the other day to experience something new. It was definitely a great place to go have a few drinks and hang out. They have live music, a pool table, a couple of tv's and a ton of fun people hanging out. The bar is long and easily accessible. They have chairs and small tables across the back wall and the area in between is filled with happy chatty people. Pro Tip: Dont expect to see this joint from the street, you have to pull into the lot behind it to find it. I found this out the hard way. The bartenders use a slightly heavy hand and dont short change your drinks whatsoever. A lot of folks appear to be regulars here. Definitely a nice regular watering hole to go to. No thanks! Stopped here after checking out First Cabin. Their drinks (well gin & tonic, Captain & Coke) were twice as much! And then they wanted $14 each for Red Bull & Goose. Uh,.....what? This is a dive bar, not a Hollywood club. WTF? We went on a Thursday night. The bar was full of obnoxious Asians in Ed Hardy and Affliction gear. It's pretty hard to be obnoxious when loud music is playing, but these kids nailed it. I'm a big girl. Plus size. When *I* feel like the hottest girl in the bar, there's a problem. Since day one I fell in luv with this lil bar! Thursdays is the best night but I've stopped in on random nights and have always had a great time. Don't show up before 9-9:30ish cause you'll catch an entirely different vibe. I've always been greeted with familiar faces & a friendly service. It's a pretty cool dive bar. I love how you get to walk into double sided doors, like from a good ol' western bar. The drinks here are at a pretty reasonable price... More on the lower spectrum. There's really not that much to do- they have one of everything. They had one dart board, one video game, one pool table, etc. This place would be more fun if they had a couple more pool tables.. Because when we got there we were ninth on the list, which was probably a three hour wait! Other than that, it was a pretty cool place to watch a little bit of baseball and to grab a beer or two. Growing up in the 626, I've always wondered about this place. Everyone seem to always be going in and out on weekends when my friends and I go to Tasty Garden for a late dinner or something. Finally had a chance to visit this dive-y little bar. $2.50 domestic, $2.75 well happy hour. Monday to Friday 4-7pm Man that is cheeeeeeap. There's TVs everywhere. So if you were ever in Arcadia and just wanted something to drink, they got a full bar here. The crowd here on a Wednesday night(6ish) was pretty local. We came on a weekday, expecting to grab a drink after work. We walked in and saw a few people in their 40s. Not really the type of crowd I like to hang out with but that's ok. Being the first time there, we asked the bartender for recommendations to their special drinks, but the bartender wasn't nice. So we ended up just leaving and going somewhere else. This dive bar is okay and is actually quite reminiscent of some East Coast dive bars. There just needs to be whole line of them to compare. Only real difference is that the place didn't seem to have any specials or happy hours going on during my visit. But then again, it was a Saturday, so that may explain it. But then again, that's the only time most people go to bars around here, so I wish they would do what makes sense. There was one particular hot girl who was probably a couple years older than myself giving me a couple winks and gave me friendly taps on the shoulder despite her being there with her boyfriend. It's too bad he was bigger than I was. That raised my self-esteem nonetheless (as did the drinking). I visited the place with my old college roommate and we just caught the Laker game highlights on ESPN before moving on to the Dave & Buster's at the mall. Knowing that I enjoy the dive bars, he decided to bring me here to show me some of the bars Arcadia has to offer. One positive thing was that, despite not having a formal happy hour, the place did have $4.00 cocktails. The couple next to me at the bar had weird looking jagerbomb cups whereby the Jagermeister is in the center dip and the Red Bull is in a moat around the dip. You just have to watch out when going to the restroom, as there is a pool table right next to the doors. You may find yourself getting clocked by a cue stick if you don't. Parking is towards the rear of the place, facing away from the street. It's also where a patio is located for the smokers or those fond of doing things outdoors. The swinging saloon doors towards the other end of the bar indicate that it is not an exit, which I found interesting. I guess there have been too many incidents where people going out get banged by people coming in. Overall, a good place to grab a drink and very homegrown. I can tell locals frequent this establishment. The ceiling is very low, so it's not a place for the claustrophobic, but overall, a good place for budget drinking. read more

We just moved to the area and we were looking for a place nearby on a Saturday night. The station came up on Yelp and it seemed like what we were looking for. Something casual, comfortable and not too crowded. We dressed nice casual. Off the bat, we knew it was the right choice. Variety of people, good music, and were easily able to order drinks at the bar. The drinks were of great value and great price! We ended up sitting at the outside porch, which was also great. As a group of ladies, we felt very safe and a gentleman associate was assisting us where needed. Highly recommend and we will be frequent visitors in the future. read more

I went there in the afternoon on a Saturday and the place was pretty empty - only two customers and the bartender. When I tried to strike up a casual conversation with the bartender, he scowled at me! It all went downhill from there. I asked him if he had a menu, and he asked, "What kind?" I replied that I would like to see a drink menu, and he said they don't have any. (I'm pretty sure there's no kitchen there, at least none that I saw, so even the question was just to give me a hard time.) After that, he simply ignored me-with the exception of the occasional nasty glare. A very cheap dive bar that happens to be surrounded by Asian cuisine. When I say cheap, I mean you can get several drinks for under $20, the bartenders are great, quick, and know their liquor. The Station also houses some Dart machines that you can entertain yourselves with, they have a bunch of TVs, and they also have an outside patio for the smokers. Pros: Good atmosphere & environment, friendly bar tenders/people, drinks aren't too pricey. Cons: It can get cramped in there because the place is pretty small. I don't mind small dive bars but I always feel compacted and unable to move whenever I came to The Station. Restrooms are equally small. Takes a while to get on the pool table! The station is an old school dive bar which always surprises me still exists in Arcadia. I am glad they have made it all these years with all of Arcadia changing drastically. The bar has it's regulars, first time timers, and everything in between. Beers and cocktails are extremely reasonable and they have even better deals drink happy hour and on football days. This place sucks. It has so much potential being a full bar with 2 dart boards, touch screen video game, jukebox and a pool table. I was here on a Monday night 10ish. The place was dead and when some of the regulars came it was still a bore. I had a guinness (that came out of a can, wth is that all about?) with no frosted mug, wacked. Then I had a Gray Goose tonic, it has a sick after taste much like some cheap well vodka. I think the bartender gave me some cheap $hit while I stepped away from the bar to take my shot at the pool table. Which was the worst pool table I've ever seen. It has black felt with the Jack Daniel's label is white covering the entire table and they have the nerve to charge a dollar per game. I will not go back. Will stick with Al's or Sharky's in San Gabriel for my dive bar fix. read more

I'm here 2 times a week. The bartenders are great. Drinks are priced perfectly. Jukebox is amazing. Correction to a previous review its $14 for two redbull and goose! Fights happen everywhere. Sometimes you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. Don't blame the bar for stupid people. They have security on the nights its needed. More than enough parking. Pool is $1. If you show them love, they show you love! I've met the owner who is a great guy and has earned my respect. They always have fundraisers and parties! At least give us a try! This is the place me and my friends always go to after dnb closes. It's located right next to tasty garden and Shawn cafe on Baldwin ave. Parking is okay, there will be times when there's absolutely no parking and you have to park far, but most of the times it should be okay. This bar is extremely small, you're allowed to smoke in the front or in be back, and they have darts and a pool table for you to play with. Even though it's small, it still feels comfortable as long as you have a seat to sit on. Sometimes it gets so packed that you might have to stand around. It can get crowded on days like Thursday-Saturday's but that only happens if a certain party has like a huge party coming. Me and my friends always love coming here because it's so cheap ($7 for a shot of goose) and they give you fat shots here! I can never finish the shot all in one gulp, I have to take my time and drink it. Ask to make your shots chilled because it tastes better that way obviously. The workers here are so nice. The more you come, the more they will remember you & they will hook you up with shots. They also have chips if you're hungry and they have one game station where you can play games on some sort of computer. My favorite game on there is spot the difference. read more

The people are very friendly and it is generally a good looking crowd. It's hard to see this place from the street, but just swing around back for parking. They have two dart boards and a pool table. My only complaint with The Station is that there are no beers on tap. Yea, this place is tiny, not that I have any problem with that. A bit smaller than hundo on Huntington. I'd say the food here is kind of pricey, drinks aren't the cheapest either, and I don't think the quality is that great (which makes the SLIGHTLY raised prices seem completely unjustified). I put emphasis on slightly because this place is still pretty cheap compared to other locations like esquire and bar louie. They've also got pool here as well + some other forms of entertainment if you are into that sort of thing. I on the other hand, just like to get drunk. The only thing I will give this place is that the staff does not give a single fuck if you want to smoke inside, but then again First Cabin is the same as well but better, so why would anyone come here again? The jukebox was doing it's own thing; which was pretty funny because it started playing Meatloaf and some other slow songs until we finally gave in and put in a few dollars to request our own songs. Whenever my homies and I are out for a night of cheap drinks and bad entertainment, we head over to the Station in Arcadia. It's a cozy little dive bar in the middle of a very Asian-congested city, and yet still attracts its fair share of patrons each night. Or at least every night I have been there, considering how we usually come with around 10 people and occupy about a third of the bar. And it really is cozy. There's carpet all around stacked by wood panel walls. The place is brightly lit and there's a pool table near the back entrance. It's fun playing with the locals, and once in a blue moon, a hustler shows up and just dominates the table. Beers and cheers all around and you got yourself a good night. The drinks are not spectacular either, but keep in mind that it is a dive bar. Don't expect people to be ordering neat scotches or fancy cocktails here, this is a bud light and coors kind of joint. i think there are themes for certain nights of the week as well. The bar was blasting country music one time, and I guess it wasn't too bad. The music was ok...after I had about 10 beers. There's a jukebox that patrons can throw their change at and queue up their favorite bad tunes. Other times the machine is at the mercy of its regulars and I have to switch to hard alcohol to stay sane. But other than that, this place ain't that bad. read more

This place gets too crowded during weekends. We first stumble upon this place because we love the Tasty Garden next door. In the beginning, this is a dive bar not many people know about. The drinks are heavy and cheap, like most dive bars they keep their patrons buzzingly happy. I once ordered black and sprite and it was like a splash of sprite and fill to the top with black, for 4 bucks. Drinks are really cheap. I can't believe I was searching for places near my new place and the Station came up with such high reviews. Not that it's bad, just didn't realize anyone that yelped had ever walked in the doors. Definately one of my favorite dive bars. I used to go here with people I lived in an apartment building with and always had fun. The locals are wonderful and the bartenders always nice. And the drinks always strong! I will come by and visit again soon. Miss you guys! Was just thinking of a time I went out for St. Pattys day and it was a fail.
