There's also a jukebox that has a lot of songs; someone played a Drake song when I was there. The people that go there seem to be around their mid thirties to mid forties and dress like punks. I went on a Saturday night and it seemed busy but not packed. There was about twenty five people there the day I went. It didn't take long for me to order a drink and they were fairly priced. I was excited to find a new neighborhood dive bar that I can swing by and relax while watching the game... but then my neighbor told me this place was racist and I read a Yelp review that stated it was too... so I avoided this place. I finally went last night. The friendliest bar tenders served me, the bar was full of whites, Mexicans and a few Asian folk singing and dancing in harmony to songs like Lauryn hill and some dr dre classics. The bar tender mark turned on the dodger game for me on the big screen and I actually managed to make a few friends that night. I went last night to what I heard was a fun bar. The bar tender Maria took my order and had me waiting for almost an hour not to mention she walked away during my sentence. I had to ask the other bar tender to please make my drinks. This happened TWICE. And the third time I simply asked for water and she walked away from and I never received my water. Let me tell you something about this place, it's been years of on and off of going, and all I can say is that it's still one of my favorite dive bars yeah it might not be the most upscale bar, but the pricing and the bartenders their never disappoint me. I Don't know, i kinda liked this shitbox. Cheap beer! My girl and i drove by one night and i had mentioned that we should check it out. Last night after going to the gym we headed over. I threw on some jeans and a hoodie, put one of my knives in my back pocket and even put one in my girls back pocket. We drove down, parked the car in an accessable spot, and walked in. Before walking in i had the feeling that a firearm might have been a better choice, but we played it cool. Went up to the bar and asked this lady for 2 beers, one draft Blue Moon and she had oranges, 22oz for $4.50, and a bottle of Newcastle for $3.50. Not bad! After being harrassed (guy wanted to talk to us) by a bum, actually more of a drunk, we went over to the pool table for a game. The crowd was "Diverse" in the lower genepool, but you know what? That's what we were expecting. Met a few locals and played 4 of 5 games. $0.75 a game. Decent table with good rails, half the cues were straight too. I like little dive bars. This place was great, full bar, pool tables, darts, juke box. The only negative thing is they smoke inside and I personally don't like that because I'm asthmatic, and two no one likes smoke to linger on their clothes. I used to go to Shady's all the time, it was right down the street so we could walk down and stumble home. This is a dirty dive but had great bartenders. There's 1 pool table, a dart board and juke box with mostly awful music. The crowd is older and sleazier, every once & a while some young people would come in. The drinks are cheap, strong and there's usually no wait for pool, it's a good place to unwind. The last time I was in there all the old staff was gone and a bunch of new assholes were working there, it was more expensive with he same shitty atmosphere. Won't be back! read more

Shoot pool here a couple of weeks ago. It was hot, stuffy and just plain nasty. They have no AC and the 6 fans in the place didn't do a damn thing. I was sweating in my seat having a beer. I've been going to The Bit for a while, however Shadys has alcohol which is better. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Mark, Maria & Adam are awesome and treat customers like family!! My mom used to go back in her time, my sister went when she was my age & now I'm going to carry on the tradition. I love that everyone gets along and there's NO PROBLEMS!!. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. Plus very cheap prices which is good. I'll definitely be a regular now. Plus they all remember my drinks and grab my shots before I even sit down. The drinks are cheap!! They have a digital jukebox with a wide range of musical selection, and both a darts board&pool table. The place is a dump. The men's restroom was cramped as shit but it definitely contributes to the "local" atmosphere lol!! Worth checking out if your not picky, and enjoy kicking around a few cheap beers with the homies.
