This is my all time favorite veggie burger to date- they even have gluten free buns! The been patty is so full of flavor that I prefer it over the standard burger. The fried onions, jalepeno, and garlic aioli just make every bite magic. The broccolini and lemon cream sauce was ok, but probably would not order again. Verdict: Yummy!!! I will definitely return. Parking garage is validated and there is plenty of seating inside and on the patio.
Stumbled into here for lunch. My chicken bowl was amazing! Reasonable price and I like everything that it came with. People are nice and lots of seats to dine in.
I've only had the short rib grilled cheese here. I love short rib sandwiches and it's not that common of a sandwich at most restaurants. What a treat! Their soda machine is also super fun. You can pick and create your own soda.
came to the stand with my girlfriend, i got the southwest chicken sandwich (incredible) and she got the buffalo chicken sandwich. it was a bit too spicy for her liking so she asked Chuy if we could swap it for the southwest chicken sandwich and he handled the swap easily for us. really nice guy and they make the food fresh. they had the dodger game on and were turning over tables and getting orders out w the quickness. thank you Chuy! we're coming back for sure.
I normally ordered lunch catering from The Stand for work. This time I was able to visit the restaurant in person the other day for lunch. I ordered Crispy Chicken Bites with Sweet Chili Aioli sauce, fountain soda and Stand Slaw. It took a while to get my food order. My co-worker ordered after me and received her food way before I did. I noticed when I ordered online there is a PDF booklet and I can check out the ingredients. At the store, I didn't see descriptions or ingredients. Just something I noticed. I had to ask the employee to check for me since I can't eat specific items. I'd love to try Thai Iced Tea Milkshake next time.
Last time I came here, they overcooked my burger. The owners of this place really care about giving the best service and experience. They reached out to me and told me to come back. They wanted to make sure I had a great experience. So I came back, and everything was perfect this time. The burger was perfect, medium-rare. The fries were good, and I also enjoyed their specialty drinks, the lemonade and agua fresca. My dad enjoyed his burger. I think this place will be our new go-to whenever we want a nice hamburger. All the ingredients were fresh, and I really enjoyed the homemade ketchup.

I just ate inside The Stand for the first time today. I had ordered delivery a few times and it was always good. But my experience today was just exceptional. I ordered the Ahi Tuna sandwich and Sweet Potato fries. The sandwich was truly one of the tastiest sandwiches I've ever had in my life. I got it on the parmesan crusted sourdough bread and omg *chef's kiss*. The service was also great. Chuy was so warm and helpful and made sure my friend and I had everything we needed. I cannot wait to go back and take more friends!
I've been wanting to eat at The Stand for the longest time. LA is oversaturated with smash burger places, and I was dying to go to a burger place with a nice juicy burger patty that wasn't smashed to the point of dryness. Finally, my wife was craving American food one day, so we made time to come to The Stand to give it a try. Granted, it is a chain, but it's quite good. It has the vibe of a sports bar, but ordering is done at the counter. The staff answered all our questions and helped us quite quickly. They advised us to get the app to help accumulate points, which I did. My wife and I shared and side of fries, but we each got our own burgers. I got a build-your-own burger with beef cooked to medium, a fried egg, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, and sweet chili aioli. The burgers took a good 15 minutes to make but they were worth the wait. The burger was super juicy, which was a texture I had missed from eating so many smash burgers. The burger also had a bit of smokiness to it. The sweet chili aioli was basically a spicy mayo but went perfectly with burger and egg. Amazing restaurant, I would definitely come back.
Just had The Stand for the second time and wow! The hits I've had their bowls and they are healthy and flavorful! Calories added too. The service is greet too, shout out to Christina for her hospitality and knowledge of everything. She super kind! And would come back just for her. And the over store is great and place if come to chill and eat food. Would highly recommend!

Great spot for lunch and dinner... There is always something for everyone including Vegetarian and Vegan. The service was quick and friendly. Ambiance is nice and clean. Ordered Cola Drink Chinese Chicken Chop Salad It comes with sliced grilled chicken breast, crispy wontons, crispy noodles, mandarins, sesame seeds, house made chop salad mix (romaine, iceberg, red cabbage, scallions, carrots) and red ginger dressing. it is simple and delicious.
There's street parking or paid lots around here. This location has a good amount of seating for both indoor and outdoor. It's a very chill and relaxing vibe that's great for casual hangout. The staff are nice and really helpful. They have a good selection of menu items and some fun shake flavors. They do ask how you want your burger cooked. You'll get a number and they'll drop off the food at your table. The food arrived pretty quick especially when there were a good number of people ahead of me. The ABC burger was good and juicy. I gotbit medium rare. The bacon was nice and crispy. I ate the whole thing easily. I also gotbthe cookie butter shake. It was good. Not too sweet and good texture from the crunch. I would recommend trying this place out!

Solid restaurant! Looks new but it's actually been around for years. How did I only find this place now? Crazy delicious Chinese chicken salad and short rib sandwich. I love that grilled cheese on the outside of their sandwich bread. Really recommend getting a salad to share to balance out the meal so the burgers and sandwiches don't get too heavy. Would definitely come back again and order the same things! They offer free parking but I didn't know until I saw the easel sign outside their door! read more
It's next to Basecamp. Great spot after workout you get post workout meal. Surprisingly everything is good. They have shroom burger asked for protein style and it's soo good. Ahi tuna salad bowl is huge, it's good for two. Brussels sprouts is my favorite. It looks burnt but it's not. I wonder how they make the Brussels sprout so good like that. Everything looks proverb but it's worth it and serving is big. Can't wait to go back here. Street parking only. read more

Tried this place for the first time, and glad that I did! We got the Stand Burger, short rib grilled cheese, and large fries to share. The burger was tender and juicy, while the grilled cheese was super flavorful and with the classic cheese melt pull apart! So filling! The fries were alright though, nothing super special. We sat indoors, and there was a small flat screen TV that showed the latest games. Interior was nicely lit and clean. If it was warmer I am sure the outdoor would have been a nice experience as well. All in all, will come back! TIP: free 75 min validated parking in the garage below. read more

The Stand is located across from the Pasadena Playhouse and I was waiting to see a play. I went across the street because it looked good. They have a large menu. However, the food that I got was mediocre. I got their chicken bites with chili cheese fries. How they described the chicken bites is that it is shareable and I felt like I got 10 chicken nuggets. It costs $10 for the bites. I asked for no onions and tomatoes on my chili cheese fries and I had random pieces of onions in my fries. I'm glad that I'm not allergic to onions. My fries were basic. It is something that you can get from any mom and pop burger spot. The portion size for a regular is small. Overall, my food was so-so. I wished that I would have gotten something else because the menu items do sound good. If I am in the area, I might try their food again. read more

Subpar food for a high price point. Everything here tastes like my high school cafeteria could have made it. Everyone's taste buds are different, I prefer seasonings on my food, but if you prefer to move on to a bland taste, this is the spot for you. I ordered the chicken bites, Mac and cheese, and chili cheese fries. If you're gonna give it a try, I recommend a burger or sandwich. Food: decent, good Portions: Normal Price: fair Service: Good, not too busy when I came Atmosphere: simple comfortable tables and outside seatings I was looking for pastrami and Google showed up with this place. They do not serve pastrami here. So I just had the Standard burgers and sweet potato fries. Just a regular burger for me. Not sure I can say it better than others. Decent. The sweet potato fries is waffle still. I live waffle style. The frys are good and fried just right. Maybe other sandwiches are better. read more
Wow! A good burger place is hard to find these days , with so many opening up! This is a franchise that stands up to its name. Delicious food. Service was excellent by Arifa and her co workers. They have an excellent craft beer selection as well. It's based in old town Pasadena, which is a beautiful location. They even validate parking for you. read more
This place is so amazing. They are exactly what they advertise. Classic dishes served with care, attention to detail, and great service. I had the southwest chicken sandwich for the first time and it was so good. The guacamole was fresh, the chicken was perfectly cooked, the corn salsa had an amazing fresh taste and the bun was so fresh and it all came together! Every time I come I try something new and every time I swear I have a new favorite. The ABC burger, the Ultimate Egg, the BBQ Brisket, and the short rib grilled cheese to name a few! And don't forget the onion stick or fries b/c they do those well too! read more

All of the burgers and shakes I've tried at the stand were legit. It is currently my fav go-to burger shop right now. While their burgers are solid (love their ABC burger!!) their sandwiches weren't as good in my opinion-- but I've only tried their southwest chicken sandwich so take that with a grain of salt! read more
If you're familiar with the stand you know they make great burgers and this place is no exception. I always like to try their specialty burgers they rotate and they always seem to nail it. This place also has a nice draft list. Only drawbacks were the coke station had several sodas out (Dr pepper which is my favorite) and they claim you can leave your stuff on the table but they don't always bus it super quickly. The best grilled chicken sandwiches ever!! My whole family is obsessed with this place and it's so fresh. Also love the sweet potato fries and their lemonades. So on a day trip with the hubby to Pasadena and thanks to YELP I found this place. First off it's in a quaint old brick building with nice outdoor or indoor seating. The staff was super friendly and the service was fast. We chose to sit outside because it was a beautiful night. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and my husband ordered the regular burger and a large fry. (Forgot to mention I also had a delicious Oreo cookie shake) The food was delicious. I had my Aoli sauce on the side. It was also very good. This place such a nice surprise. It topped off our day trip. I will definitely visit here again. read more

This burger place is a Stand out! Not typically a burger person but my partner and I were in the area for a play at the Pasadena Playhouse (literally right across the street!) and was hungry. This was the perfect place to get a bite before the play began. Service was quick and prices were reasonable. The Stand Burger ($8.99) and the Fire Fries ($3.99). The cashier was thoughtful to ask if we were sharing and asked if we wanted the burger to be cut in half. I'm not typically a burger person but I quite enjoyed my half of the burger! It was flavorful and not dry at all. The Fire Fries were too spicy for my liking but my partner enjoyed it. You can get water cups and there are restrooms handy for you to use before and/or after. Plenty of seating is available inside or outside! It was quite packed on a Wednesday night so we opted to sit outside. You have a great view of the Pasadena Playhouse across the street and can people watch! read more
I tried the new Veggie Bliss burger and I was very pleasantly surprised. I loved the veggie patty (I always prefer in-house veggie patties over Beyond or Impossible patties). All the burger toppings were flavorful and very yummy. I honestly think this is one of the best veggie burgers I've had! I ordered online for pickup and it was ready very quickly despite being busy. We don't live in the area and were just out there for the day. We had selected two other places to eat at and one was closed while the other was a sushi place that unfortunately only did all-you-can-eat. Anyways...we luckily ended up here! Funny thing is the kids wanted burgers all along and that's what the ended up getting. The Girls ordered the kids mac and cheese and the cheeseburger both with fries. They quickly gobbled it all up. My husband and I shared the ABC burger and the southwestern salad. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. If you're in the area looking for simple clean food I'd recommend eating here. read more

Had the grilled cheese with brisket sandwich and the nice man helping us asked if I like a little spice and put some pickled jalapeños on the side and OMG they are soooooooo delicious with my sandwich . My daughter got the brisket burger and we shared onions rings . Ranch is my favorite and theirs is amazingly delicious. Definitely coming back thank you! Taking a shake to go! read more
I've been meaning to try The Stand for a long time...finally did today via delivery using DoorDash. They have a lot of unique burgers and customization options, and they also let you build your own burger. I tried their French Onion Soup Burger and and order Stand Fries. The burger is super unique, and the burger patty was a big 1/3 lb patty and of high quality meat...clearly freshly formed and not frozen. It comes with a side of French Onion dip, and I customized my burger with a lettuce wrap. The food arrived about 40 minutes after I ordered it, and it was nice and hot. The fries travelled pretty well, surprisingly. The au jus spilled a bit in the box it came in, but it wasn't horrible. And as with all lettuce wraps, the burger was drippy since there wasn't a bun to catch the juices. I tried a few of their sauces--spicy honey mustard, burger sauce, and ketchup. All were good and clearly homemade, even the ketchup. Will return! read more

Trying out The Stand for my first time and I'll definitely be back. They offer a wide variety of burgers and other sandwiches but I came here because I was craving a burger. You come up to the counter and place your order. After some deliberation, I decided on the Onion Stack burger - crispy onion strings, cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, hickory sauce, and roasted tomato. You can get the burger cooked to your liking. Once your food is ready, they bring it to your table. My burger was very juicy and all the flavors went together very well. The hickory sauce was a little tangy but still good. There is plenty of seating, both inside and out and 2 clean restrooms inside. They made a great first impression and I'll be back to try their other burgers. read more

This was my first time at the stand and a girlfriend of mine suggested it bc she loves their steak salad. Well, I came to try their burgers and boy was it delicious. If you have been following the type of food I review, I do not eat beef or pork. So it's nice to find a burger place that offers substitutes. This is one of those places. I got the French onion soup burger but with chicken, and wow, it was so decadent. Even comes with the beef au jou broth for dipping. The sweet potato fries were nicely crisp and tender in the inside. Pair it with their house made ranch and your golden. Can't wait to come back to cali and try more on their menu! read more

First time here. Nice place the burgers are really good, Yes you can say it is just a burger but they have a really good flavor. ABC burger nice char on the meat soft buns and good taste. The stand burger also good but small patty. Ultimate Egg Burger real nice with the yolk running down the bun. Really good onion rings some of the best around. Give the Mac n Cheese it is good lots of cheese. read more

So this was our first time eating here (the wife). And for our first time it was amazing!! Not your typical hamburger stand. I was a bit disappointed when I was told sides were separate. I wasn't aware of what to order and the guy at the front counter was nice enough to help me narrow it down between my two choices. I got the ABC burger while my wife got the stand burger. On my end the burger was cooked to perfection (well done) and the onion rings I ordered had a nice flavor to the batter. I also got the Cali creamin beer which has a nice orange taste kind of similar to the taste of the 50/50 orange creamsicle ice cream they used to sell back in my day!! Overall it was a great experience..customer service was amazing as well. I will definitely be coming back if I'm in the area. read more
