I have been doing business in Madrid for almost 40 years and have dined at every level and across all cuisines in Spain. The best meal in recent memory was today's at The Spanish Farm. Beautifully prepared and presented modern cuisine that uses traditional ingredientes in modern ways without fuss or pretense. The chef is from Peru and it is evident in the exquisite ceviche. Afterwords I had their duck leg confit which was as good a variation as any from a French bistro with a superior sauce that enlivened the dish. My wife had a beautiful artichoke heart plate with three variations. A classic Spanish dish with a twist, and again beautifully presented. We finished with a wonderfully creamy house made pistachio ice cream, and in typical Spanish fashion, we're invited to a drink by the Brazilian owner. Service was refined and friendly. Reviews of this restaurant led us to it after our visit to the nearby Prado Museum. It is every bit as good as everyone says it is. We shared the Rosa Tomato Sirloin, the Veal Cheeks Tacos and the Mascerated Tuna. Each dish was made with really fresh ingredients and all was very delicious with layers of flavors in each bite. This was my favorite meal in the 4 days we were in Madrid. Go and you will enjoy a very special, yummy meal!! read more

A very quaint and welcoming atmosphere serving local dishes. Augustine was our server and did an excellent job. He provided us with excellent recommendations and 5 star service . In addition, he provided a few great recommendations on where to visit locally for sightseeing. We enjoyed the Cod, Tuna Salad, Hake and the cheese sampler to start accompanied by recommended bottle of wine. We felt the Cod and Tuma Salad were excellent while the Hake was ok, however, it was cooked very well and most likely was just my taste preference. We stumbled by this place after going on a walk near the Prado museum. It is truly a hidden gem! The various courses are inventive and delicious. The perfect minimalist experience between the Retiro and the Prado. Simple food, fee choices and all made from the best ingredients. The tuna belly salad was amazing, as was the cheese and iberico. We had the best dinner of our trip to Madrid at the Spanish Farm. I wish we had come here sooner. We started with the cheese board and meat sampler and moved on to sharing seared tuna and Iberian pork. We ended with the passion fruit custard. I would give this more than five stars if I could. A very sweet and small shop. My fiance and I visited this place for dinner on a Tuesday after walking through the museum. The staff is extremely attentive and the ambience is relaxed and quiet. They allowed us to take a sip of our wine before committing, and took us slowly from appetizer to soup to entrée - never rushing us, and brought out the next piece only after we finished. The restaurant has a beautiful and contemporary atmosphere right next to Museo del Prado. Very convenient location! We ordered a salad with goat cheese that came with a very tasty bread on the side.
