I loved the atmosphere of this 17th century winery . The tables are all private in their own little alcoves and it's so cute The food was amazing, we shared and had a wide variety of plates. I suggest doing family style there. All of the dishes were good. The service wasn't that great. We got a little attitude from the servers and they hurried us to order before a group placed their order

Amazing ambiance with fantastic service! The staff were polite and patient as we didn't speak much Spanish. The food was some of the best we had while in Spain! It was a unique experience and I highly recommend.

Ok please keep in mind that this review is from an American vacationing in Madrid and Europe for the first time. This restaurant was recommended by a friend for our 20th anniversary dinner. Hands down best ambiance of any restaurant I've ever been to. I won't go over history because plenty of reviews have done that. This is an upscale restaurant due to pricing and ambiance however dress was from casual to dressy. Men wore shorts, jeans and tennis shoes to slacks and polos. Women wore nice dressy shorts with heels, to sundresses, dresses with heels. Pretty much anything goes but I wanted to dress up for our special occasion. We don't speak Spanish and our servers spoke enough English for us to get by but I don't think they were happy about it. We had a rotation of 3 different servers. Some seemed annoyed that we weren't immediately ready to order. The menus were both in Spanish and English. Water is a cost. Bread comes to the table there's a cost for that as well. I liked all of the food we had but my husband has been struggling with the food since we've been in Madrid. He is not adventurous at all. We ordered the angry eggs and zampurinos for starters. Although the eggs come in a spicy sauce, it's not spicy at all so don't let that deter you. The scallops (zampurinos) were good. For our entrees we had the oxtail roll and duck confit. Lots of great reviews on the duck and our server recommended it as well. Now this my husband enjoyed. I liked the oxtail roll, there's no bone and the queso it comes in is good. Very tender and you get 3 rolls. I don't eat a lot of meat so I regret I didn't get one of the rice or pasta dishes that had no meat. Sounded good. Let me tell you about the bathroom because I wish this had been in someone else's review. Beautiful and clean bathroom first of all. One bathroom for everyone. Stalls are separated by signage in Spanish so I didn't realize I (female) was using a stall meant for men until I came out. Oops. Very spacious though lots of stalls. Our whole dining experience was an hour and a half. Service was actually pretty fast. Not rude but no extra accommodations either. We had a reservation for 8:30 which is when they open. Good thing, by the time we left they were packed. Not all tables are private we noticed so I'm glad we had the early reservations. The outside looks non descript we almost missed it, but inside is absolutely gorgeous. Our total bill was 99 euros without any alcohol. I enjoyed the experience and would recommend for sure. Wouldn't return with my husband only because he couldn't appreciate the food but I did!

If you blink you're gonna pass it. Super cool low key with that speak easy vibe; very nice setting kind of like a wine cellar vibe; a place you'd like to take a person on a first date; service was Superb, staff knew their menu, wines. The food is fantastic I myself ordered the Octopus and it was just the right amount and delicious, not big portions. But super amazing and tasty. Prices are very fair.

This really IS a secrete bodega. The restaurant was previously a war bunker turned wine cellar. It's a little scary to dine here during COVID because there's little ventilation but the ambience makes up for the risk (and if you're vaxxed and boosted, it's probably okay.) Great pick for a date or family gathering. Feel free to chat away in your own private dining alcove. Like many restaurants in Europe, we opted for the prix fixe menu. I'd dine here again for the ambience but the food wasn't all that memorable.

La Bodega de Los Secretos is located inside a three hundred year old tunnel in the heart of Madrid.  Not surprisingly, the atmosphere within and without is quite unique and more than a bit special - they'll happily give you a tour if you ask for one :-) Our dining experience here was exceptional from beginning to end - the service was impeccable and the food was simply amazing! Everything we tried that evening tasted wonderful, but the duck was extraordinary!  The prices here are more than a little on the high side, but given the quality it's worth every Euro :-) I wouldn't hesitate to return at my next opporutnity, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something exceptional and a bit different!

This a subterranean gem located in a renovated wine cellar. Many of the tables are located in individual brick/stone alcoves which are very intimate and great for a romantic dinner. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. I especially recommend the Grilled Octopus starter, the Duck Confit with Caramelized Apples, and the Mojito sorbet. They accommodated my celiac needs brilliantly. After your meal you can ask for a brief tour. This was a lovely experience. Reservations recommended.

Very unique place, a old wine cellar turned restaurant. Many tables are tuck in a small cave on the wall, give you privacy and quiet setting. Food is above average, price is reasonable. My wife and I had a birthday dinner here, I was pleased with both food and services. Recommended.

Me and my friend went to this restaurant because it is in old wine cellars and that alone should convince you to go. The restaurant it's self is too cool to pass up. The atmosphere is private and perfect for a date night. She got mushroom risotto which was very good and I got mushroom ravioli which was just okay. I didn't like the texture of it. We got the chocolate lava cake with mango ice cream and cheesecake for dessert. Both were very good. Over all I would highly recommend. Maybe just don't get the ravioli.

You have the option between a bowl and a pita for both, and all the proper accoutrements for a proper falafel. The hummus is exactly what you want and the tahini is to die for. The vibes here are great too, grab a beer with whatever you order. My only complaint would be that they do not give enough fries for the price. other than that, if you are looking for a good falafel or sabich, make sure to give Falafelria a chance.

We had not had lunch and have travel all over Madrid today and thought a quick bite of Mediterranean food sounded good. We went inside to find one lady behind the counter working by herself. She is a machine! We were given an English menu and looked around to see what others were eating. I ordered the falafel pita with hummus, tahini, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, spice, pickles and tumeric sauce. This pita was stuffed and it took both hands to eat. My wife ordered the hummus bowl with tahini, onions, chickpeas and olive oil. A perfectly warm, fluffy pita was also included. The falafel balls were great and flavor packed. It took all my energy to finish this packed pita. The tumeric and carrots were a different taste and enjoyable. A good choice. The hummus bowl with soft chickpeas were delicious. Hummas is always great with a warm pita. Again, the value was also good especially for the generous portions. Looking for good value and tasty food, do yourself a favor and stop at Falafeleria at lunch. To the young lady behind the counter, great service and thank you.

What I ordered: I got the toast with tomato spread, a cappuccino, and the chocolate cake. For the toast, they have two vintage toasters sitting on the main table so you can toast it yourself. This is cute, until you aren't the one at the main table so you have to reach over other people to toast your breakfast. The cake was a perfect amount of density and moisture; although, I would probably get a different flavor if I could do it over. A lot of people do chocolate cake a lot better than this. I do appreciate that they have all the cakes on a table and cut it right in front of you. Would I go back to this place? Honestly no because my experience wasn't overwhelmingly great and I think I could do better at other cafes nearby, but the quality of food here is simply top-notch.

Be sure to make a reservation because the restaurant is quaint--besides a communal table that seats around ten, I think I only saw a small bar space and two individual tables. The decor is modern, simple yet funky and homey, and the tables in front of the windows are beautiful! The menu includes several options where you can pick the number of side dishes and entree, so you can completely design your meal around your appetite. The ingredients tasted super fresh, and we especially loved the salads we tried! My friend was a little disappointed that his ceviche portion was so small, but it tasted great, and I loved the Asian-inspired chicken. Service was also pretty good, by Madrid standards. On my next visit to Madrid, I will be back to try the breakfast and baked goods :)
