I chose this place for our last meal in Spain based on the reviews and it did not disappoint! Ordered the goat cheese fried tomatoes, salmon sashimi, chicken dumplings, and chow mein with seafood. Everything was so delicious and flavorful. The bar was hopping too! I had a great watermelon spritz. Service was excellent and the plates came out in a timely manner. It is cozy with the bar taking up a lot of the front dining room but they have more seating in the back. However, I do suggest making a reservation! Loved it and would definitely come back when we visit Madrid!
Absolutely insane tasting menu for only €23!!!! It's so so good, I've been recommending La Musa to all of my friends. Very modern and cozy vibes inside, and we were seated quickly without any reservations. The tasting menu contained 6 tapas and 2 desserts, with lots of cool and unique flavors that were executed flawlessly. This is so up my alley and reminded me of the ~new American-esque~ restaurants that I love back in the states. Food was served quickly, with dishes coming two at a time. The portions are pretty small, as it's a tasting menu for two, but I was surprised to be kind of full by the end of it. My favorites were the sashimi, brioche, coconut dessert, and the lemon cheesecake. Great for a nice and affordable dinner.
I visited based on a recommendation and that La Musa was only a couple of minutes from my hotel. On a Friday night, I knew to arrive before 8 and at 7:30 it was almost full. I took a seat at the bar and noticed they have a good selection of draft beers and specialty cocktails as well smoothies. I started with the Fried Green tomatoes. Just the right amount of crust and the fig jam and goat cheese brought it all together. Next Tapas course was the Baked Cauliflower. Excellent with the sesame yogurt sauce & Pomegranates taking it to the next level. Last course was the Calamari. A bit too much breading for me so just ok although the Wasabi dip was very good. By 8, it was packed with upbeat music playing, enhancing the lively/hip atmosphere. Great spot for having a drink and of course the Tapas are amazing all brought together with excellent service.
We loved the tapas for two (30€)! We were able to try so many different tapas and the portions were more generous than expected. The decor was modern and upbeat. The ambiance was a little overwhelming because of the extremely loud music that was playing. (You can hear it blasting in the videos I posted.) That said, there were still families eating there. From the first course, my favorites were the tomato salad and salmon ceviche. From the second course, I liked the meat dish. The dumplings were just average. Overall, some dishes are better than others but you get to try a really wide range of dishes. The desserts were all good but nothing spectacularly memorable. I'd recommend La Musa though!
My partner and I stopped by La Musa for some lunch while visiting Madrid. The food was absolutely amazing, the staff were great, the atmosphere was lively and fun. Our server Roman was the cherry on top for our experience! He was super attentive and fun, but not overbearing. We are planning our next trip to Madrid and La Musa is on our list of course. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to get some delicious tapas!! We got the Guacamole, Chicken Tacos, Fried Chicken, and Fried Green Tomatoes, all amazing!!!
Lunch in Spain is generally the bigger meal of the day, hence the menú del día in all its glory. A sort of pre-fixed meal that includes your choice of a starter, main plate, dessert (sometimes), and drink (always). Served with bread too. All that for around 10 euros, depending on the spot. The menú del día here came in at 9.5E and was more than worth it! I got a marinated tuna salad-ish dish to start, then a plate of secreto marinado with a side of caramelized pears and a sweet wine sauce, some bread, and a beer. My wife ordered the other options on the menú (there were two for each category), including a cazón fried rice and green tomato gazpacho. After eating we each ordered another adult bevy, and the total bill was less than $25. Man I love dining in Spain!

First time in Madrid - this place had a great vibe and atmosphere! Our waiter was quite helpful and friendly and made us feel welcomed Started off with drinks - margarita & Bloody Mary which were both decent. I personally preferred the margarita over the Bloody Mary as it tasted overwhelmingly of tomato juice (and little of anything else) Food - La bomba is meat (beef, pork) filled potato and it was yummy, probably my fave of all the tapas we tried. Chicken dumplings had a nice crisp and nice sauce but taste was just OK. Tacos were quite good! Nice flavor and creative presentation with the sauce in the pipette for you to pour. Lastly was the salad made of fresh arugula, beets, tomatoes, peppers - a great end to the "meal" and ironically was the warmest thing we got. Other tapas served lukewarm. read more

This was our favorite place for tapas in Madrid! The food was tasty and bursting with flavor. Loved the ambiance. Our reservation was around 7, and it was quiet until it got closer to 8:30pm. It seems like the food has some Japanese influences, which made the food more delicious! My favorite dishes were the fried green tomatoes with goat cheese (the combination with the jam and arugula made it that much better), scallops (they gave us a little pipette to put teriyaki sauce on it, very creative!), and the Spanish tortilla with iberico stew (meat was tender). We were pretty full but left room for dessert. We had the sticky toffee pudding, and it didn't disappoint. There was a scoop of ice cream on top and the toffee sauce poured over it. It melted in my mouth. Their tinto de verano was very refreshing and probably my favorite one I had during my trip! Wish I could go back, it was that amazing of a meal! read more

Cute place and excellent food . came in for lunch and instantly fell in love with the vibe . The place is done up bright and unique and there is lots of seating . The food was amazing and full of flavour and texture. Service was sweet and friendly and pricing alright . read more

What a cute tapa. Great food and drinks. The service was awesome. We sat at the bar, Victoria our bartender was so nice and gracious. Overall experience was muy bueno. A must place to try when you're in Madrid....Gracias! read more

Damn this place was good. Every dish we had was super flavorful. The four of us paid about 80 euro for 6 big tapas, a bottle of wine, a milkshake and two glasses of sangria. We all left so full and so happy. Really cool atmosphere and nice wait staff. read more

La Musa is one of my favorite tapas restaurants in Madrid. It's definitely a fun place to come with friends, as there's great music and a lively atmosphere. I've been to La Musa three times, so I've tried just about everything on the menu. My favorites are by far the fried green tomatoes, the corvina ceviche, and the calamari. The portions are a bit on the smaller side, so my boyfriend and I usually ordered 3 or 4 and that was perfect for us. The cocktails (Caipirinha, Caipiroska, and Mojito) are pretty average, but they do have a wonderful selection of gin and tonics. The dessert sampler is also worth the price and is big enough to share. The service at La Musa is also fantastic and most of the waiters speak English. It is highly advisable to make a reservation for dinner, as they aren't a very big restaurant and are very popular. They take reservations online through their site, so it is super easy! Simply put, La Musa is a must while in Madrid. read more

La Musa is situated in the trendy Malasaña neighborhood. Out of all the bars and restaurants in the area, I'm so happy I chose La Musa. This Asian-fusion inspired tapas restaurant is both reasonably priced, and totally delicious. I came with a group of three people, and they told us it would be about a 30 minute wait. With the amount of things to do in the area, we didn't mind. We stopped at a bar across the street and came back to the restaurant at the time they told us. My group ordered mojitos, tempura shrimp and avocado, fried tomatoes, empanadillas, chau fan, hummus, and a desert tray. The mojitos were only 7€ with a pretty generous serving of alcohol. Out of all the food we got, my absolute favorite were the fried tomatoes and the tempura shrimp and avocado. The serving sizes of these tapas were enough for the three of us, and the flavors were to DIE for. The fried tomatoes come with goat cheese and fig spread--what else could you possibly need?! Although the tempura shrimp with avocado sounds pretty simple, it was a delicious and generous portion. The rest of the food was great, but nothing stood out too much. Overall, I highly recommend La Musa for a dinner out in Malasaña. Be sure to get the fried green tomatoes--I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about them daily. read more

Amazinggggg tapas! We tried so many and liked literally all of them. The staff was so friendly... and really attractive lol. This is definitely a cool spot to hang out and eat and meet some cool people. We wanted to come back but never got a chance to this trip but next time I will definitely be back to La Musa. read more

Fun atmosphere with tasty tapas! We were there on Saturday at 11pm and still had to wait 20 mins for a table. Good music and the staff was friendly. Try the tapas from the spanish section! read more
Stop by this restaurant for my first night in Madrid. I'm not sure if its because it is a Friday night, the ambience in the neighborhood and restaurant is amazing ! We grabbed a seat by the bar because the restaurant was full (it is a bit small), but no complaints there at all as there were still plenty of options at the bar. Food: we shared the hummus with pita bread, nachos with guac and the shrimp baos. The shrimp bao was definitely the highlight of the night. I'm from Toronto (abundance of restaurant that serves baos, and this is def one of the best). Great smoothies and sangria as well. Price: for everything we paid about 17 euro each, so reasonable! read more

Great place that moves beyond Spanish food while keeping the tapas-sized portions. Not sure why their draft beer isn't Spanish, though. The fried green tomatoes are killer. I'd go back anytime just for those. The empanadillas are what the Japanese call gyoza. Really well crafted. Love the ambience and hipster staff, but the repetitive club music can scratch your nerves if you're not into that. read more

Obsessed with this place. The food was delicious and the vibe was just perfect for our last night in Spain! We were getting a little bit sick of the typical fried croquettes, fried eggplant dishes etc. although they are incredible, we needed something that was still Spanish but also had a little twist and this place had it!! We got the spanish omelette (MUST), Japanese dumplings (pretty much basic. Nothing special), fire roasted veggies (perfect and the sauce is amazing, and the fried rice (LOVED this) we also couldn't say no when the waitress asked if we wanted bread. It was better than most places that serve bread so I would suggest It! Oh and of course as It was our last night traveling, we got the dessert tasting plate which was only 7 euros. In comparison to the dessert prices, this was worth It. The portions in the tasting was the same as the normal dessert if you only ordered one! Definitely come here if you're looking to listen to good familiar music, see where locals eat, and then you can hop on to another bar nearby. Its in the perfect night life area!! read more
ahhhh my first Madrid review!! I want to delicate this special life moment to La Musa for their friendliest waiters, delicious food, and cheap!!! Free wifi if you Like them on Facebook. There is a 30€ two-people special, as reviewed below. I visited here for a solo lunch and ordered the 11,50€ daily special. which includes a Heineken beer, a coffee (or dessert or fruits at the end), and two dishes. The two dishes I chose were the lentil soup and the ground beef with sautéed eggplants. The beef dish was very heavy with its sauce, so it was quite salty. The soup was very good though. The second time I was here, Berta and I both ordered the daily special. The menu was completely different (yay!) and I looved the little fried fritters. My salmon was also gigantic. The atmosphere is amazing during a weekday afternoon! Quiet enough that I can sit hours here for work, busy enough so there's a bit of local chatter, but discreet enough that it's not busy! The decor looks like an upscale bar, the menu has a lot of Spanish-style tapas (big big list), and my waiter on my first day is so cute errrr I mean extremely friendly. The wifi unfortunately requires your Facebook connection, and you only have 3 hours total. read more
